Re: How about $200 off on a 64gb.

in the Article: Verizon Offering $200 Credit Towards iPhone 6 forum

This is just a trade in promo. You trade your phone in and get a gift card for $200 when you purchase ANY iphone 6. The 5s will trade in at $300 The Verizon store can transfer some of your content from phone to phone. Do an icloud backup or itunes backup before purchasing your new phone for an easier transition between devices.

The extra line trick doesn't really work anymore. If you upgrade a basic phone to a smart phone and change it back to basic, the data is contracted on that line for 2 years. You still keep unlimited data on the line you move the equipment to but there is now an additional data plan on the other line. This started at end of August.

I am sorry you had a bad experience at the Verizon Store. You can go to www.verizonwirelesssurvey.com and submit feedback on the location. If that was my store I would want to know about that experience. It is true that we just had some sales end but the treatment was unprofessional. I am not sure if you were at a corporate store or indirect location. At my store if I don't have someone upfront ...

You can upgrade with a 2 year contract and get the max plan which gives you 6 gigs of data. You do not have to sign up on edge. As for a warranty replacement the rep will trouble shoot some stuff. Probably perform a hard reset and then try to replicate a problem. Then they have to call into a tech support number for additional trouble shooting before they authorize a replacement.

Re: how early can you upgrade?
Aug 14, 2014, 1:30 PM

In rare circumstances you might be able to find someone offer you an early upgrade. That will not get you the 50% off promo. The phone will only ring up 50% off with an eligible upgrade not a manager over ride. They only way to get the 50% off would be to have someone change upgrade date. Managers in stores can only get them changed due to documented system errors or incorrect ...

Some of the info is correct and some is wrong. When a customer comes into my store with a iPhone that is having charging issues there are signs we look for. First we look at the charging port and are if there is any signs of corrosion or damage to the ports. There is a liquid damage indicator under the charging port too. It should be white. If there is any green corrosion or the indicator is red, ...

Since the upgrade fee started last year, I have never seen the fee waived without very specific system issues. I have seen people upset, scream, yell , and even cry because they could not get around them. I have seen people get demoted and fired for discounting the fee. You will be hard pressed to find anyone who will even think about it. If you go to a corporate store there is no way it will ...

Nope. When you go to Best Buy, the upgrade fee will be applied to your next bill. The only way to avoid it is to buy a phone full retail if you are on a consumer account. Business accounts with 5 or more lines with a signed major account agreement have the fees waived.

I think that all these changes are a sign that VZ is going to try and buyout Vodafone. The money to do that needs to come from somewhere. Reducing phone subsidies and increasing profit per line by extending upgrade dates on contracts seems like a good way to get the billions needed for a buyout.

So there was a device change. What device did you change from? What device did you change to? Where did you get the device from? The data features are the same for 3G and 4G phones. 4G phones have an additional provisioning feature. In regards to the 4g tethering, I assume you are talking about the $30 unlimited tethering. There is no 3G equivalent. You do not need to pay for a mobile hotspot feature on a 4G device. There ...

I want to start by saying I am sorry you lost your unlimited data feature. These features do not spontaneously change or drop off accounts without some sort of change made to the account either by an account owner or account manager. I have seen many people try to fight this and very few of them succeed. Have you authorized anyone on the account as an account manager? Did they give you a reason why your inactive ...

If you upgrade on amazon it will still charge the upgrade fee and it will show on the bill instead of being paid directly with the phone purchase. It shows up as an upgrade fee like an activation fee shows up on the bill for new lines. If you buy at a verizon store, on their website, or over the phone the fee is added to the upfront cost.

All sales channels will charge the fee it is just a point of where. If you go to a national retailer, 3rd party website like amazon, or some indirect stores the fee will be applied to your bill in a similar fashion as an activation fee. When you go to a direct vzw source the fee will be collected up front.

That is incorrect. You will be able to keep unlimited data when switching from 3G to 4G. Currently there is a feature that gets you unlimited data for 3G. In the system that billing feature is called "email and web for smartphone". This feature auto adds additional features to allow access to the 3G system. The actual feature code for the data plan charge is the same for all non blackberry phones. There are different provision codes that attach with it if it is a 3G or 4g phone. 4G phones add a feature called dynamic ip at $0 to enable access to the 4G LTE system.
