@oreba -- I thought all CDMA phones used Qualcomm chipsets. Why do you believe this phone does not use a Qualcomm chip ?

Expresscard has some technical and mechanical advantages over PCMCIA (PC Card). Technical: In fact their are two busses on expresscard: USB 2.0 and PCI Express. Many new chipsets are already USB (e.g. cellular chipsets) or PCI Express so to make the expresscard version is a simple mechanical redesign. PCI Express is a faster bus then Card Bus. Mechanical: Expresscards are smaller... better for shrinking laptops. More robust mechanically -- no small pins to get smashed. And ...

phonescoop is a great resource! Suggestion: add cellular modems (pc-card, usb, expresscard) to the list of devices you cover on your website. This would certainly add to the traffic to your website. A win-win!

I was also curious about the electrical interface details, Here is what I have found so far... The OMTP (Open Mobile Terminal Platform) recommendation paper (URL below) refers to a USB forum document entitled _Battery charging specification 2.0_ from the USB Forum. Oops, I meant to post that message in the nokia 2610 forum. But while I'm here... anybody have thoughts on the 2610 vs. the 6030 ?

how does this phone compare to the 6030 ? any reason to upgrade from a 6030 ? looks about the same, except for it lost the FM radio support ( a feature I liked ).
