Re: DOES TMOBILE HAVE A FEE FOR UPGRADING??
Mar 25, 2004, 10:26 AM
in the T-Mobile forum

Greetings badspawn, T-Mobile does NOT charge any kind of fee for upgrading your phone or for upgrading your service plan...the only differance is that on a plan upgrade/downgrade you only pay the pro-rated differance unless the plan doesnt take effect until the billing cycle date. If your inquiring about a phone upgrade i recommend calling your local T-Mobile corporate owned store and ask the representative about the process and what it entitles. Enjoy!

Greetings...well there is fact/fiction on this subject, the fact is that we dont offer hardware like LG cause us, just like many of the carriers, we buy based on the deals that the providers will provide us with...so basically if a phone doesnt meet our requirments or cost to much to mass distribute, we will not purchase it. We use to offer Siemens M46...it was a piece of junk, Siemens internationally is a highly recognized phone with great structure, ...

Re: Which phone has LOUDEST earpiece?

in the T-Mobile forum

In my experience with all the phones...im a employee of T-Mobile, Samsungs have always had not only the loudest Ringtones but also the earpiece as well, out of the 3 currently availible R225, E105, and E715...the E105 is the best because the E715 has a bit of a hollow sound to it because of the case design. Enjoy!

Re: merging thoughts

Ok..little insight: In my opinion concerning a few things, go with Coverage 1st...the merger will defienitly increase the GSM Network for the 2 companies, but the thing to keep in mind is that it is a "merger" in more than one context, and given the fact the T-Mobile, AT&T, and Cingular all have roaming agreements with eachother in select markets, it will be more of an overlapping of multiple cell sites, more so than a "expansion". The thing to add ...

Re: Question

Greetings again Jamie, sadly there is no way to replace the T-Mobile text...that is what we call the "Carrier Logo", whatever network the phone is running on, that will show up there whenever you are in a service area i.e Verizon, AT&T, Cingular...you get the hint.

Greetings Jamie, AOL Instant Messanger does not use your Minutes when running, it does however take a tally against your bucket "SMS" (Text Messages) a month so i.e : if you send 100 AOL messages during the month, whether just a quick "hello" or a big sentance it will only cost you the 100 messages sent. And incase you dont already know we offer 2 Text Messaging plans $2.99 300 Messages or $6.99 1000 Messages. Enjoy

Uhm ok Beep, actually to correct you "indirect" dealers who carry T-Mobile are also allowed to carry more than one carrier, my old company - Wireless Retail Inc. a National Retailer/Indirect dealer carried all 6 major carriers out of our stores. Second reply is based on your comment about Cingular having sense of direction/bigger footprint than T-Mobile...actually for your information us and Cingular share roaming agreements with eachother, they provide us coverage in states like CA while we provide them ...

Re: porting number question

in the T-Mobile forum

Greetings Heather, In reply to the amount of time from VZ - TM concerning "Porting"...we have had a pretty good transfer time with them, Has been taking about 2 days to port. Keep in mind the porting usually can take 2-7 days. Please make sure that the Verizon account that is being ported stays active the entire time - T-Mobile will automatically cancel your Verizon service once the port is successful, and if possible please bring in a copy of your latest ...

Re: A question!

Greetings laurie, as far as the Ptt technology with T-Mobile, our taget audience is the "Data" people, at least at this time. The CDMA technology (Sprint, Verizon, and NexTel) now all use the push-to-talk system for there phones, to fully explain why we currently do not offer this, and they do, not fully sure. Again we are concentrating more on the Wireless Data. But down the road we may all offer @ some point the PTT - but keep ...

As far as coverage goes, we are expanding @ a very fast rate, we have just launched a roaming agreement with RCC Communications which will be helping the north east big in the states of NH, VT, and upstate NY...as far as the midwest to west corridor, that will be coming as of later this year, maybe sooner, it all comes down to the demand needed in those areas. Keep an eye out.

Alrighty ajohnston...well yes as much as each of those are offering higher data speeds, its more of a question of how "reliable" those technologies are. EDGE has not yet gone into full acceptance. We are slowly working into a higher speed wireless network, for right now we are the only company that offers the T1 speed abroad with our "HotSpot" technology which is available nationwide in Starbucks, Borders, and the major airports through the 802.11b technology. But keep in mind ...

To fully answer that...I'll give you an example: why do certain DVD players Composite Video and others dont instead just S-Video : Answer, just how it is. Meaning each company offers there own content in this case Mmode vs T-Zones, where they give as u pointed out a "weather radar" we in turn offer our own things, content for content we both offer around the same things, its just where you go looking, but ultimetly...in my opinion, given i ...

Re: New phones for TM
Jan 22, 2004, 2:53 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

Greetings Capachino, the new phones have not passed through the puchasing phase yet, but on the horizon for the 1st quarter, Nokia, Samsung, and Sony Ericsson have projected coming out with new phones each, the problem is that right now in our lineup we have all bases covered - like Clamshells & Stick phones, as well as the features that we require. But both the T630 from SonyEricsson, as well as the P705 and D415 from from Samsung have had ...

The 2 best in my opinion for both Wallpaper/Screensavers and Ringtones... Both are accesible from a PC or the phone browser: www.3gupload.com www.myphonefi les.com Both require registration, and if you please also make a donation, it keeps all the content free without charging a "premium" fee. Good Luck!
