if its PTT that you are interested in then you might want to go ahead and remove the KRZR from your list (if you use at&t that is). the lg 515 has a dedicated PTT button, the nokia does not. i have not used these two phones personally, but i do like the look and feel of the lg over the nokia, and i'm a nokia fan. the 6555 does have a better display @ 16.7M colors over 65K, ...

in the HTC Tilt 8925 / TyTN II forum

i'm going to go with what the other 2 said. they are aimed at 2 different segments, but the Tilt can be just as fun as the IPHONE. as an employee of at&t i see a bunch of people, both business minded and trend-setters, buying both devices. the Tilt can be customized alot more than the IPHONE. there are several updates that can be done on the Tilt that don't have to have a workaround and can just be ...

Re: Price with Family Plan
Sep 12, 2007, 7:19 PM
in the Apple iPhone forum

the federal excise tax was removed last year so the only real taxes that we have are state and 911. 911 is like .70 cents and taxes vary by state. then there is like a 1.25 charge regulatory cost recovery fee and a few others that normally total to around about 7-10 dollars

Re: Price with Family Plan
Sep 12, 2007, 7:17 PM
in the Apple iPhone forum

1. 1400 plan w/ 1 iphone and 2 others is going to start you at around 99.98 plus the unlimited text and internet that goes with the iphone and it is going to be about 139.98 before the taxes. the taxes of course are going to be depending on your state so look at from zero in lucky states to about 20 if you are really unlucky. then if you work for a certain company we offer business discounts ...

yeah but with the way we release things, there is no telling when. we could release it and then there would be a software issue like the lg traxx. but then again this is a blackberry, maybe would be on time

how is it that everybody in the world that has the N75 does not have A2DP except me. i went around in my store and hooked up the only bluetooth stereo headset we have that is live and it worked just fine. it is a branded handset with nothing changed and works fine

Re: Non-tech guy: what does NO WIFI mean?
Aug 21, 2007, 5:31 PM
in the BlackBerry 8830 forum

the 8830 should have a data package that you can get through your wireless provider. probably some sort of blackberry plan that allows unlimited internet as well as your emails. as long as it is like what we do with at&t then you can have up to 10 email accounts plus a specific blackberry email. you won't be doing high speed like wifi but i think that one has evdo which is verizon's version of 3g high speed internet ...

in the Pantech C150 forum

the sim card will of course work in it. we don't offer a phone that does not use a sim card. memory card, not so much. given the choice, i would go with the c150. i use bluetooth, the only thing that i don't know about is why a non music phone would need a2dp.

yeah all phone companied lose money on the 2yr price on phones. thats why they do 2yr contracts on pepole. it generally takes about 12 months for a company to catch up to the money they lost on selling phones. at least thats the way that cingular did it. the second year was where they started to make their money. it sux but you have to spend money to make money

add suncom to your gsm list for unlockable phones in the us and then add the rest of the world (provided these are quad or tri band phones) to the list of where you can use said unlocked device

Re: Opening Word, Excel, PDF files
Aug 21, 2007, 1:45 PM

the 8830 should just be able to view the documents. it only should require 3rd party software to edit them. you might want to contact verizon tech support and see if there is a setting off in your handset

Re: Non-tech guy: what does NO WIFI mean?
Aug 21, 2007, 1:40 PM

it means that you cannot connect to a wireless high speed internet. like the wireless internet in starbucks. that is wifi. it is a central area that allows wireless connection to a highspeed internet. i think that is simple but understandable. hope this helps

you do realize that EVDO is CDMA version of at&t 3g. its a wireless broadband network.edge is 2g. what i want you to do davey is take an at&t edge device and put it up speed for speed against verizons 1xRTT and you will see the difference in the 2g technologies. especially if you go against a blackberry which can run faster than most 3g devices before you modify its ssettings. then i want you to take your EVDO ...

what thats it? aside from phone i use it as camera, mp3 player, xm radio player, calculator, txt, myspace (the real one not myspace mobile), check bank and credit card info, on occasion the converter, and of course the regular at&t media net stuff (weather, CV, etc.). of course i'm not sure of what all your current phone is capable of.

whoa i would never give my brother these phones. granted he's 22, but he has a job. i'm a little stingy he's gonna have to buy his own, i did tell him that i would get it for him with my discount though. he is one of those that rebuke technology. he doesn't even text. there is much work to do with that young one. i don't know how life was before texting. the sync is a good phone ...

i know the feeling. i wanted a phone real bad in may and got the v3xx, then i saw that we were launching the N75, and on my 29th day for a return we launched it i exchanged my v3xx. haven't looked back ever since. when and if we get the N95, i'm going to add another line and get that. i'll keep the phone and let my little brother use the number. thats the good thing about gsm. ...

it sells well in my market because of the big face of it. people like big face phones around here. if i had more phone nerds like myself around then i belive it will sell better. not a whole bunch of people are buying this particular 3g phone becuase we aren't a 3g covered area yet. i believe that once people catch on to phone that can do more than talk and text then they will discover the awesomeness ...

i had a customer come in my store with on ethat his brother bought from tiger direct the other day. i got to see the camera quality, omg. it is good on the web, but when you see it in person...holy crap. it sure beats the tar outta my little 2MP N75.

with all due respect to apple, i don't really like the iphone. its nice and everything, but still not the perfect phone. i think that nokia will have the perfect phone first. i hope anyways. and by perfect i mean that there are no extra downloads ota or otherwise that are needed for proper running. just clean smooth sailing

my apologies for the a2dp on the 550, i did look it up and was totally wrong, simple mistake on my part. could have done without the attitude, but i did test the stereo headset Southwing sa505 and it does work on my n75. again i apoligize for my mistake but a2dp does workon a stereo headset

wow. you must really hate at&t reps. that sux. cuz i'm an at&t rep and i find myself to be quite knowledgeable about most things that we do carry. i don't pretend to know everything but i do learn what i can about whatever is presented in front of me. you however seem to be a model cell phone guru who automatically knows everything about anything mobile like your european phone the N95 that does work in america and ...

i'm not sure how many of you are acually having a problem with A2DP on the n75, but the cingular version that i purchased comes stock with A2DP. i know because i have one and i use it. also i sell it so i know what most of the things it come with. if your phone does not have A2DP then you a defective phone. the A2DP, being the stereo bluetooth works just fine in my Motorola H550 bluetooth ...

actually the 30 plan only covers the internet/email portion. its the 40 and 50 plans that cover the text, pic, and vid messages. the original 30 is still only using pay per use text, pic, and vid. it is well worth it if you are going to use all of it. when you think about the charges than can occur if you don't have it or have the wrong package. you can install new themes for the curve, but ...

if you get the phone unlocked, chances are that it will not have the at&t settings that the locked phones have. inputting the settings is just a matter of contacting tech support for at&t and getting the settings and inputing them in the phone. i believe the blackberry stuff itself will work regardless. i haven' t had any instances with it personally though. as with all blackberrys you will need some kind of a data plan on the account in ...

as far as the bluetooth goes, the best one out there that has noise cancellation and hearing capability in the US that i have seen so far is the Jawbone. it retails for 119.99 at at&t stores. i haven't personally used it but co-workers and my manager use it and love it. ots only BT 1.2 which is a little slower connection and it doesn't have a2dp so you can't listen to music on it, but its still really ...
