I went to the Verizon website for " In Calling " ( free mobile to mobile ) it says my Alltel phone numbers are " In " Does this mean I can call people with Verizon cell phones for free now ?

My daughter wants an ENV for Christmas. Any chance Alltel will be offering a similar phone with full qwerty keyboard before Christmas.

I am receiving very, very slow data speeds at my home. ( cannot open some web pages ) ( Blackberry displays 4 bars and 1XEV ) Verizon technical said they came out to house, tested the area, stated I was in a weak signal area, but got tethering to work. Their conclusion was that my BB 8130 was defective. Swapped out the Blackberry for another 8130, and still have the same problem at home. I can tether at work, ...

Thank You, It is good to know that tethering does work with the Pearl.

Called Verizon Data Customer Service The help desk could not get my speed up. I now have an open ticket. I sure hope there is a fix for my tethering issue, and hope the issue is not the phone.

Trying to tether with the Blackberry Pearl to my laptop. The software is working, but I am having very, very slow download speeds. Anyone else having problems tethering with the new Blackberry Pearl ?

What I like about the Pearl is that I can dial the phone with one hand because of how the number pad is situated. Had the Blackberry 8830 could not drive and dial. I prefer the Pearl over all the other Blackberry's

Called back in to customer service. My "My Account" is is working correctly now.

Got it 1/2 working now. I can see my secondary line, my circle numbers, but not my primary line. Called customer service, they submitted a trouble ticket and said it should be corrected with in 24 hours.

My 2 phone numbers are not listed. No minutes of use available. Some other phone # is listed. Cannot access My Circle. But my name is listed correctly when I open My Account.

When will " My Account " be repaired ? It seems that My Account is down more then it is working.

Does anyone know how to set the datebook reminder for re-occurring events longer then several weeks? On other Motorola phones I could set the datebook reminders for an unlimited length of time.

I have been reading in these forums where Sprint is the preferred roaming partner over Verizon. When did this happen ? Is this correct, or is it just for the smart phones using EVDO data services ? Does anyone know who Verizon's preferred roaming partner is ? How do you tell if you are roaming on Sprint or Verizon ?

I thought of that. But for work purposes I do not want a number that people are not familiar with showing up on their caller ID. Also that would be another $10 that I really do not want to pay.

I have a Blackberry phone and a Krzr. On weekends I do not like carrying the Blackberry. It would be more convenient for me to be able to switch between phones through Alltel's my account, then calling customer service or going to an Alltel store every week.

Is Alltel ever considering to allow activating a phone from a computer without calling customer service ? ( similar to Verizon's )
