Re: Instinct and Iphone are not the PDA's I am looking for

It really depends on who is categorizing the phones anymore. While some people still consider a PDA and smart phone to be different, others do not. Most people seem to either call a phone either a dumb phone (standard device) or a smart phone (PDA and smart phones). In this case the iPhone would be considered a smart phone.

Do you work for Sprint or Samsung or something? I've never seen someone so fired up about a review. It's kind of funny actually. Anyways, I did play with the device and I actually did like it. I was surprised since I wasn't expecting much with it having a resistive touch screen instead of the capacitive. It is much better than the Glyde touchscreen. I only got to try it out for about fifteen minutes but the phone seems to ...

Thank you for the review. I can't believe how fired up people are getting about it. I have never made a buying decision based on a website review and if you do then that's your fault. If it's anything like the touch screen on the Glyde it will be a big disappointment. With the Glyde it would indicate you touched a menu option but not do anything. This was the same disappointing thing on the Chocolate phone. I ...

Re: Software-Based Keyboard on Voyager???

Oh right I understand that, but I guess it just sounded a little misleading like the Voyager didn't have a physical keyboard, which by the way is way better than this one. I will say I like the screen better on the Glyde though.

I guess I'm kind of confused on this comment? Did you mean the Vu?

Just so you know, the Voyager does have an HTML browser. The differences between the 2, besides the design, is this one doesn't have MobileTV.

It's "pressure" sensitive so what you should try is pressing on the screen and as you scroll up, down, left or right keep the pressure on and you will get used to it. The iPhone and iPod touch are "touch" sensitive that's why they work different. To see what I mean go into the calendar and put pressure on the screen and drag your finger across the calendar dates and when the date you want is highlighted release and ...

All I can say is I'm on the premium plan and the web browser has been working great for me! :D In fact, the web browser renders pages better than my previous windows device and opens pages that I couldn't open before!

The browser has been able to open up several web pages including internet banking sites! In fact, when testing it against the web browser in windows devices it has been able to open up pages that the windows phones couldn't and render pages to look better on the Voyager. Here is a link for information on the browser http://www.teleca.com/content/us/t ouched_by_teleca/software_applications/browse r_solutions

It really depends on what your looking for in a phone. The phone, according to LG, was never meant to compete with the iPhone, that was a Verizon thing. I have several friends who have the iPhone and would much rather have this. Reception is amazing on the Voyager. The iPhone in my opinion has the better video player but beyond that it really doesn't do anything better. The full QWERTY keyboard is a blessing for texting or typing ...

Re: Text inbox capacity?

in the LG Voyager VX-10000 forum

Text inbox is 200 and outbox is 50. The nice thing is it doesn't do the message is at xx% capacity thing anymore. Instead if your outbox is at 50 and you send a text out it auto deletes your oldest sent message.

Re: DATA PLAN A MUST FOR HTML BROWSER!!!!

For the html browser you can either pay $1.99 per MB or pay the $15 Vcast/Mobile Web feature and avoid those fees. The other option, and in my opinion the best if your already getting the select plan for unlimited text, is to just get signed up on the premium plan so you have access to the navigation and mobile email feature. It's only $20 more than the select plan and gives you $30 worth of features.

The web browser in my opinion works really well. It can access mobile banking websites, I've tried a few, and if you use Gmail you can open up attachments from there. If your not using Gmail then it won't open attachments because there is no document viewer.

At Best Buy you can buy the plug your talking about and it's made by LG. It also allows you to use any standard stereo headset plus it has the mic built into the adapter so you could even talk on it. The other option is a stereo bluetooth accessory for your car. Motorola sells one for around $150.

They must've left it out. I have the Venus and it does. It actually has voice command so you can start text, open a menu, etc.

Data plan is not required for HTML. I have the phone right now and all that is required is to be on the new premium plan.

You can quickly answer the call by pressing the send key. For bluetooth same option or the answer button on the headset. And for speakerphone you need to open it up. P.S. I have the device

True that on the PRADA. In fact, it won design awards before the iPhone was announced. I will say that the multimedia capabilities of the iPhone are top notch, but when it comes to actual phone quality, i have been very disappointed. I can't judge on the PRADA though since I haven't personally played used one, and I'm willing to bet not too many people on these forums have either.

Honestly, the phone is cool but its an overhyped product that will have people buying the phone who really shouldn't. Same thing that happened with the chocolate. I'll bet half the phones bought weren't because the people wanted it for their own personal use but to make money off of ebay and craigslist. I almost decided to buy the iPhone for my AT&T line but after playing with it I realized it was more of a multimedia device rather ...

Is your source pretty reliable? If so that sounds freaking awesome! I was just thinking if they bring that phone over here they should make sure the RAM and the processor have been beefed up to allow for more fluid movements and add the Mobile TV feature! Rev A makes sense considering the recent announcement too! Do you know if it will sync with Outlook? Any idea on bluetooth version? I already know giving LG's current line it will ...

Have you even seen the PRADA in person? That's just dumb as saying the iPhone sucks until you actually get to play with it. I'll admit, when I first saw the iPhone I thought, man that's an ok looking phone but the whole touch thing will probably suck. I checked it out and I'm very impressed with how well everything on it works. The only real downfall is the on screen QWERTY keyboard but even that shortcoming is worth ...

Actually the difference is you also get navigation included which is normally an additional $9.99. Not that great of a deal unless you were planning on getting all of that anyways. It's only a $10 savings.
