Units are wrong in the post. It is 60MHz->100MHz.

in the Article: Apple to Scan iCloud Photos for Child Sexual Abuse Material forum

It says "will scan users' iCloud photos" it should probably just read "will scan users' photos". iCloud has nothing to do with this as it all happens on-device and I would imagine it will scan whether or not the user is using iCloud.

Curious if there are any other properties they've acquired, as it isn't just Boost, and Republic but also Ting they already own.

So....you're routing your company meetings through a third-party call, granting this third party unfettered access to your call audio and company secrets. There is no way an app on iOS could process another call's audio on-phone as it is right now, so call-redirection is the only way this app could be functioning. Yeah, no thanks.

Finally a real BlackBerry smartphone?
Feb 27, 2017, 1:56 PM
in the Article: Hands On with the BlackBerry KEYone forum

"IT'S FINALLY HERE! A real BlackBerry smartphone for QWERTY aficionados." PhoneScoop must have missed out on the fact the Classic and then the Priv existed the last few years. Two /REAL/ BlackBerry smartphones for QWERTY aficionados. Priv is current to the Android February 5, 2017 security patch too. This phone is just over a year old. Classic received an update late November 2016 too. They push out a QWERTY phone just often enough to satiate QWERTY fans. Go BlackBerry!

in the Article: Review: Apple iPhone SE for AT&T forum

Not enough review. We get it, the phone is small. Some people want small phones, I know many 5s holdouts that were going to leave the brand if a replacement didn't come out by the time their phones wore out.... Which turns out a win win using the same case design too, they can keep their accessories! As for the battery. How about comparing it to the device it's replacing? mAh doesn't translate well between mobile platforms, so it is ...

No no, reporting the news correctly is hard. You can't expect Phone Scoop to look at facts, let alone their own web site from 2007, can you? https://www.phonescoop.com/articles/a rticle.php?a=136&p=573 Or their own YouTube channel? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T d7eaKnAtLo No, that would make sense.

in the Article: Pandora Imposes Monthly Limit for Mobile Listening forum

How about an accurate headline then? "Pandora goes back to old business model" "Pandora goes back to curbing monthly usage" etc. No reason to follow the lamestream media with dramatized headlines. Especially given none of the sourced links have any information that they did this previously. Gives PhoneScoop the accuracy-and-extra-facts advantage. With cheese! The Reuters one is funny. People still pay XM money for their garbage quality radio? Also love how Pandora is like, "this will only affect 4% of our ...

And the Z key is still in the wrong place

in the Article: Video Tour: Nokia E72 forum

Serious Nokia, learn QWERTY already. Stagger the Z key. Help the world. All of Nokia's devices have non-staggered Z keys, makes it hard to type on them without constantly hitting the wrong key on the bottom row.

AT&T, more lies in more places

Seriously, the alleged 3G improvement in the Denver area has made coverage worse in a lot of places. Nice try AT&T, go back to selling landline service and give up on wireless already.

You can't block AT&T SMSes, they don't give you enough granularity of control to block any messages. You can only block all messages. AT&T should be fined heavily for this.

BlackBerry 8300 8800 Series Defects
Jun 29, 2007, 12:57 PM
in the Article: Summer 2007 forum

I can't believe that with the release of the 8300 and 8830 that they've still not fixed their display defect. Every model of new trackball-based BlackBerry that isn't an 8100 Pearl that I have seen has pits all over the display lens. The AT&T models seem to be the worst of the bunch, but still, it is very annoying to be looking at your screen and seeing these little specs of iridescent refraction that look like burnt out or stuck ...
