I remember that story...
I actually favorited it on one of my computers. :)
I think it was
both. Obviously it gets their name out there, but US Cellular's slogan is 'Believe in Something Better.'
US Cellular has provided FREE batteries for their customers for almost 3 years. When their own store was taken out bc of the storm, why not continue to practice this service, especially when cell phones are many's lifelines?
Excuse me?
I'm a tool? Okay.
US Cellular's belief plans aren't for everyone, so depending on what plan current customers are on and what features they're interested in, it could cost more, it could save money.
When on a belief plan, should you choose to use your points for an early upgrade, you get the SAME DISCOUNT you would get for signing a 2-yr contract.
How is that BS? Hater.
I'm sorry...
I was about to activate new service for a customer when I had a gentleman enter the store. I noticed he had a bill, so I asked if he was doing a quick bill pay. He said no. SO...
I'm sorry, sir, you said no when it WAS a bill pay, and you had to wait for me to finish with my new customer. I'm sorry I could not access your business account because you don't have the tax ID, ...
Re: US Cellular and Joplin, MO
What do you mean let's see who will be there in 3 months?
Re: US Cellular and Joplin, MO
Thank you for the info. I hadn't done any research, but I hadn't heard of anyone else doing anything.
US Cellular and Joplin, MO
I just want to say how great I think it is that US Cellular is providing a cellular solution for the people hit by this tragedy. They are providing charging stations for customers and non-customers alike at no charge. They are swapping out batteries for their customers for free (already a service provided by them.) They are also providing a hotspot for everyone to use to stay connected. What other cell phone carrier is going to such great lengths ...

Not so weird...
Us Cellular gives credit to customers if the price of the phone drops within 30 days of them purchasing. :)
Bah towers
Towers are down in my area. JUST my area, lucky me. They have evidently been down since last night. Ok, so towers temporarily aren't working. I can deal with that. Obviously no one else can. I understand cell phones are some people's only form of communication, but everyone knows TECHNOLOGY IS NOT PERFECT! I am very gracious to the customers who are very understanding. However, why do customers threaten to cancel and go somewhere else? Do they not think ...
Deleting preloaded apps
I picked up a Samsung Acclaim after one was returned to our store. Since MyContactsBackup is preloaded to the phone, and it's copyrighted to the first number set up with the app, I am unable to download my contacts. Does anyone know how to delete a preloaded app so I can re-download it and get my contacts?

Uh..WHAT?
Customer is in store. Chatting with another customer while I'm on the phone with customer service. One is pregnant. They start hatting about that. One asks the other if she is working. She said no one would hire her right now. I figured it was because she was very pregnant. WRONG. She sais something about a felony. The other cust asks what she did, to which Ms. Pregnant nonchalantly replies, " Oh, I tried to kill so-and-so."
WHAT?!? 8O
Moto Crush
Does anyone know how to find the ringtones I bluetoothed from another phone? They aren't showing in the sounds, nor in the ringtones.
I love it when
they try to get out of something because they don't like what we told them just to have someone of higher power tell them the same thing. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! :) I do hate it though when they contact customer service and they allow them to do the very things we don't allow.
Shoot
you know the kids text in school!

8:46am
My store doesn't open until 9am. I clocked in at 8:43, but at 8:46, I noticed someone was pulled up in front of the store. I went ahead with my opening procedures, glancing up at the vehicle every few minutes. At one point when I looked up, the woman in the car also looked up, then started trying to talk to me. She held up money, so I mouthed "We don't open until 9." She also mouthed something, but ...
Why isn't he eligible
if he has a dinosaur?
Disagreed.
I know the stores in my area would much rather do everything ourselves instead of having to call customer service for this or for that, waiting on the phone for 10-15 with a crappy customer just staring at you. Or have the customer come in huffing and puffing about what this person at customer service told them when we can do nothing of the sort in our store.

Re: To the Customer Service rep
How do I do that?! I'm so down.
To the Customer Service rep
Who allowed this... screw you!!!
A few months back, I had this customer come into my store, demanding new phones. I looked up her account to see if she was eligible. She had only been in her contract for about a year. I asked what was wrong with the phones. She said the service in her area "stunk." I asked if her problems with reception had recently started. She told me that the phones had NEVER worked in her area ...
Re: Tell him you wish you could, but...
I don't remember what the phone was doing, as it happened months ago. We do have the customer sign the receipt showing they understand the policies, and we repeat aloud what policies pertain to them, such as the 3 day exchange and the warranty from when the phone was first purchased.
Re: Tell him you wish you could, but...
Actually, he DID buy the used phone at my store. We have a 3-day exchange policy for used phones as well as the one year warranty from when the phone was first purchased. We still can't do anything about the phone if it's acting up out of the warranty.
Well,
he had a used phone and it was acting up. No signs of physical damage, so I looked up the warranty on the phone. It was out of warranty and he didn't have insurance. He wanted us to fix it for free or give him a new one. I told him I couldn't do anything for him at my store (which is true) but that he could always talk to a corporate store or customer service to see if ...
Shiznit.
So a few months ago, I had a hardcore redneck customer come in with some problems regarding his used phone. When I couldn't provide the answers he wanted, he walked out of the store saying how stupid I was and how I didn't know anything. A few days later, he came in again wanting to get out of his contract for free because he was having problems with his used phone, and, once again, I could not provide the ...
Wow
Where do I begin?
Customer walks into the store.
Me: How may I help you?
Customer stares at some accessories on the wall. I'm thinkin, "Yeah, an accessory sale!"
Customer walks to the Cash wrap.
C: Well, I need to know if I'm in the right place.
Me: U.S. Cellular?
Customer laughs obnoxiously, then gets this really serious look on her face.
C: Is it (competitor's name)?
Me: 8O It's right down the road.
C: Ok, that's all I needed then! *laughs obnoxiously again*
Re: Vlingo
Really? I've only had it use stars!
For Example
I said, "I went to the mall but it was closed." and I got, "When you are a bit."
Vlingo
Does anyone else just talk to Vlingo just to see what silly things it comes up with?
Re: OOOOORrrrrrr
Haha seems kinda b!tchy...if I were a guy, I would totally say that!
Re: lazy customers suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, but I have the customers that just pull up right in front of the door, halfway on the sidewalk. Ugh. The actual parking space is 10 feet away.
Re: Correction
 Bully.
Correction
I just got here and my first customer of the day goes as follows:
M: Hello, what can I do for you today?
C: *walks up to the counter and throws WHAT WAS ASSUMED TO BE THE bill at me*
Happy?
Jerk.
That was
supposed to be posted by me.
It's going to be one of those days
I just got here and my first customer of the day goes as follows:
M: Hello, what can I do for you today?
C: *walks up to the counter and throws bill at me*
M: Pay a bill?
C: 8O
M: Ok... (I take the envelope and find a check inside.)
Since we don't process check in our store, I can call a number to directly take the payment.
M: Can I have the last four of your social?
C: XXXX
M: Ok, can ...
I actually
did that. I just omitted it from the story so I wouldn't seem like a bully.
