Re: Memory bank on the CU-400

Some phones are cheaper for a reason. Entry level phones are not usually capable of tons of music and graphics. Look at it like this. George is trying to decide between a Ford Probe and a Pickup truck. Because of the price difference George goes for the probe. Six months later he buys a boat and is kicking himself for not spending the money to get the pickup. Phones are the same thing. a Ford Probe is not meant to ...

Graphics and tones that come on a phone from the manufacturer are pretty much stuck there. Most newer phones (only if you are willing to spend the money) have expandable memory to help with these things. The ringtones on a phone are usually locked.

Phone as a modem?

I understand there is some patch that can be found to sync a Curve via USB to your computer and use it as a modem? Is that true? I know you can pay extra money and get the tethering service but I would rather find the patch. I have tried google.com and crackberry.com and none seem to turn up results.

That would mean that the browser does not support something that is on that web page. The Blackberry browser is not the best that is for sure. The Curve also has an Icon for "Media Net" on the desktop, have you tried going to the same page from that browser?

Your Blackberry collects Cache just like a computer would. Occasionally you need to go in and clean that. You do this by hitting your "Menu" key while on the web, go down to "Options" and select the "Cache" and delete all except "Pushed Content" that should help. I use the browser and have noticed that a time or two while trying to download a large file it overloads the processor and shuts down like your computer would.

Re: Anyone try using this phone with a media max plan?

If you remove the blackberry plan and use a Media Max plan it is cheaper, but you will lose your push email and BBY messenger which in my case was the reason for getting the Blackberry.

Ok well i work for AT&T and I have the curve. It is amazing! The internet speed is pretty slow (not 3G) I use the internet daily for work and pleasure and I really have gotten used to it. You can download ringers, music, and things of that nature through the Meia Net browser which is present on the phone. It does require a service plan to use like any phone. The blackjack is a very basic entry level ...

yes media max works on this phone. There are two different browsers for the Curve, one by Blackberry and one for MediaNet. The blackberry one is unlimited with a monthly subscription of $29.99, you can also overlap a Medianet (media Max) package over that which will give you medianet. The speed is about the same, but you can't purchase downloads from Cingular.com website from the Blackberry browser. I work for At&t and have done this recently with my own ...

LG phones are made to work well and have great features. They do not always look the best.
