Re: speakerphone....
Yes, you can use the speaker with the phone closed, and if you have the phone set for speaker you can answer an incoming call by holding the small button on the left side of the phone below the volume rocker.
Remember, the speaker and microphone are on the back of the Maxx, so when using this feature you must have the phone turned over if you want the best quality.
Re: No full screen pictures from camera?
Unfortunately, I don't think so. I've never tried the "rotating the phone" solution you've described above, but I've tried everything else to try to eliminate this irritating quirk without success. If you have read previous threads on the camera you will also find that pictures taken at the highest resolution, 1600 X 1200, will show in your gallery, but if you try to view them full screen you will get a fractured (torn picture) icon. I ...
Re: Picture torn in half?
Unfortunately, for me the "torn photo" icon shows up on ALL 1600 X 1200 resolution photos I take.
I came to the Maxx from an LG 4500 (no camera/no speakerphone) after carefully evaluating all of the available Verizon phone offerings. In my opinion, the Maxx is still the best phone Verizon offers and, but for a couple of glitches, I am more than happy with it. My hope is that Motorola and Verizon will listen to the feedback ...
Re: Picture torn in half?
I previously posted on this glitch ("Camera Issues"). My guess is you took the photo at 1600 X 1200 resolution; the problem does not present if you take the photo at a lesser resolution.
Interestingly, I just activated my second Maxx on Friday (the first could not access Get It Now, but that's a whole 'nother story). To my pleasant surprise this camera problem appeared to be resolved; I could now view these higher resolution photos. That ...
Re: MAXX Quality Control = very inconsistent
Just got done watching a movie - a little past midnight - and thought I would give Get It Now one more try. To my great surprise (and relief) it is finally working. Two issues resolved, one remaining - which is when viewing the photos in my gallery they never fill the screen (except for the pre-loaded photos). I have to select the "zoom" option to get it to fill, but then I have to clear ...
Re: MAXX Quality Control = very inconsistent
It all depends on the employee. Like everywhere else, some are good, some not so good.
I just got my second Maxx today, but I had it overnighted through headquarters Customer Service. Had two issues with the first Maxx. One, if I took a picture with the highest resolution (1600X1200) I could see it in my gallery, but it would not display if I elected to "View" it.
Second, and most important, I could not access ...
Re: Saw the Maxx today...can't decide
The glass will definitely not shatter! As I walked out the door after buying my Maxx I went to pop it out of the holster to check call quality. My LG 4500 used to jump out of the holster and into my hand - not so the Maxx! I missed the catch and it went crashing to the pavement. Had the phone less than 30 seconds and my first drop. But the phone handled ...
Re: Issues with Camera
Sorry - meant to say that when I'm scrolling I have to repeat the same procedure for every picture in my gallery (except for the pre-loaded Verizon pictures).
Issues with Camera
Hoping somebody else has encountered same problems and can give advice. If I take and save a picture in the highest resolution, 1600 X 1200, I can view the photo in my gallery. But, if I select the picture for viewing it will not display. Instead I get an icon depicting a picture torn in half. This does not occur if I choose a resolution other than 1600 X 1200.
Secondly, when I select photos for ...
