I sell t-mobile and the coverage mapis a joke if you are comparing t-mobile to verizon coverage at this time. Here in NY its no question Verizon is number one. I dont sell verizon but sell all the other carriers. The demand for verizon at this time is high. Maybe in a few years t-mobile will expand there network but for right now its average and below average in certain areas especially here in Long Island NY.

Well one thing att customer are going to have to do is change there sim card to 64k. Already parts of Eastern Long Island and Some parts of NJ cingular is letting there customer use Att Gsm network.

Cingular Extened will be apearing in certain areas due to Cingular will be using ATT Wireless Network. This will give you a more reliable network. If your on a cingular national plan you dont have to worry about any charges. If you are on a local plan be careful you will be charged.

What type of phones do you currently have. Are they single band that could possible be your answer. If not sure check with sprint and see if you can upgrade to a tri band or dual band phone. This will allow you to roam off network which is free on certain rate plans.l

The reason why I now these are bad areas are due to thats where mu store is located or feedback from customers returning phones from. The areas listed are the top areas in Suffolk County that we get the most returns from.

It depends where you live? Cingular has a much larger network then T-Mobile but if you don't travel as much t-mobile might do the job as well. With T-Mobile roaming agreements service should be the same in some areas again it depends were you are located.

Cingular Wireless needs a huge Network improvement in New York. Especially in Suffolk County New York. I currently have a store location in which we are authorized dealer for Cingular Wirless. If I sold 20 Cingulars I would have 18 returns. This is no exageration. that is true about T-Mobile. Any indirect agent that sells t-mobile cannt sell Cingular. So my company made the switch. Cingular sense of direction and their over all gsm foot print is much larger than T-Mobile. T-Mobile thinks they are verizon wireless where you can only be exclusive, they have another thing coming. It depends what kind of location you are shopping at. Direct(meaning they only sell one carrier) and corperate stores pricing is higher at a Best buy or Circuit City etc. , due too they have map pricing. When it comes to indirect stores we can manage to beat their prices for new customers due too my location or other indirect locations are able to subsidize our equipment pricing. Then you havent seen the new york market. I have a store on Long Island new york. With in 2 mile radius I have 6 store that are right on top of my store location. It would be nice to see carriers jump in and let their be a limit of stores per town. I dont see that happening but truly see your point!!!!

Keep dreaming At&t is a big part of my business and from what I have heard an seen with several employess walking on egg shells at&t is on the way out. Things will be great if Cingular does finally merge with At&t and form a poweful network.. At&t network is terrible especially in the Metro NY area Tdma usto be strong but now its becoming less reliable the their gsm network. Lets go Cingular!!!!

Is it me or is the number port the best thing to happen to our industry but terrible turn around time. ALL carriers, not just one exclusively are just ridiculous of letting customers number go to be ported period. I have a few dozen customers since November 24 that ported their number and it still hasn't gone through. And now they are telling us dealers too tell customers it could take up to 2 weeks too go through!!!! Thats ...
