i know this is an old phone, but i friend got her's wet and gave it to me. i dried it out and it worked but could not be charged. i love how the phone works and would be interested in buying a gently used one. if anyone has the old alltel 6235i, i am a potential buyer.

3G huh? that interesting that a fone not offered on cingular-cough-at&t's web site has their 3G network capability. it's call EVDO in the alltel network.

There is a new lg phone that will be release tomorrow. i don't know who wrote up the reveiw of features on the site i am about to post, but they conflict with the information provided in the paragraph at the top.

new alltel samsung
RadioShack got a flyer today about a samsung "hue." thin flip phone with removable face plates, 1.3 mp camera with video capabilities, mp3 player, micro sd slot, bluetooth, T9 text capability, and celltop ready. looks super small. keypad looks almost too small, and the screen size is only 220 x 176 pixels = just over 2 inches.
Jump Music from alltel?
My girlfriend bought the wafer and is keeping it despite the intermitant echoing problem. i've read that the mp3s are separate on the fone and cannot be used for ringtones, but she wants the data pack anyway. alltel sells this "jump music" package deal that consists of software, cable, chip, and stereo headfones.

you can download the software for free, but it's just a music organization program. as far as i can tell you CANNOT edit songs ...

my girlfriend bought this fone in early may. when you call it you get a really loud echo of your voice, and it's hard to hear the other persons.

anyone hear of any rumors concerning a cable for the wafer? or does samsung not do that?
