Perhaps you should have spent more time in Economics classes. As was proven under the Nixon and Ford administrations, and as was predicted by Milton Friedman, wage and price controls are counterproductive to the economy.

I fail to understand what you mean by "these people". WARF, the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, was established to own patents developed under the research done at the University of Wisconsin and license those patents to others, raising funds for advancement of other research and programs at UW. Probably the best known product they developed was WARFARIN, an anticoagulant which was licensed to drug companies and commonly sold under the brand name Coumadin. Patents do not impede scientific progress, ...

My brain hurts reading your post. I presume that you meant to use the word PATENT instead of PATIENT, but cannot understand the basic premise of your post. You ask "was anyone going to use that patient for anything massive or significant?". Obviously yes, as a prior suit against Intel was settled out of court - read the Reuters article! And your statement about real scientists/inventors not patenting ideas/inventions, Thomas Edison had over 2000 patents, Nikola Tesla about 300. Are ...

There are no automatic plan changes, you have to request the change. Also. plans below the $100/15GB do NOT include the Canada/Mexico calling.

Talk to a rep, if you really want a plan between these points you may still be able to get the $70 6GB plan. Usage of current tiers is always reviewed before such changes, the 4GB & 6GB plans were minimally requested. The new $100 / 15GB plan also includes unlimited calls to Canada and Mexico - not a big deal for some, but those that have contacts in those countries will love it!

Re: Question about unlimited data

I presume you mean data speed reduction (aka throttling). For customers with a 4G LTE smartphone, who still have an unlimited data plan, data speeds reduce if usage is 5GB or more in a billing cycle. Speeds return to normal at the start of the next billing cycle.

That is because of inventory issues. We have been advised that a world-wide component shortage is "constraining Blackberry’s ability to supply all partner carriers". This may be worth investigating further.

Hi, guys! I see that your page for the BlackBerry Bold 9900 shows it as discontinued with T-Mobile and AT&T. https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p =3289 What is your source for that status? Curious as it is showing as active in AT&T.

It is at times a blessing and a curse. It is a major leap forward from prior systems. My biggest problem is when data features available in PHX do not populate in Rate Plan Viewer making it difficult to be sure you are mirroring prior data plan as closely as possible.

US Cellular is the sixth largest wireless network in the United States.. They serve about 5.8 million customers in 126 markets in 26 U.S. states - California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin. That is much more than just midwest.

It was actually quite similar, as AT&T was looking to buy only T-Mobile US. T-Mobile US is not a global company. It is the US subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, which uses T-Mobile as their global brand.

It was only available for consumer lines pre-ordering through the att.com web site. Business accounts ordering through a store, Premier on-line, or any other sales channel can begin ordering on Friday. I already have several clients awaiting my ability to place orders for this, and one large account almost ready to upgrade their 100+ lines.

Re: Goof basic phone?
Mar 14, 2013, 4:13 PM
in the AT&T forum

Pantech Breeze is the leading basic phone with AT&T. Good signal strength, larger keys, decent sized screen for a flip phone. It may be the leader since it is free. Samsung Rugby II is down to $49.99, and is a rugged phone. Also a good option. Only other basic phones in the post-paid lineup are the LG A340, Samsung A157, and Rugby III. Smartphones are the wave, basic phones are dwindling.
