Yes, I've had it happening to me, off and on, for many months now. I've had my phone for over 15 months. I turn it off every night and charge it and most times it doesn't do it after I start it up the next day. I've yet to learn exactly what causes it. Don't know if you're being charged extra because of it. If you find out, I'd be interesting in learning the cause, possible fix, charges, etc. ...

Have an idea. Don't know if it'll work. I've got this model phone, too. The owner's manual says it automatically offers your alternate spelling as its first choice. When you get "tgd," for instance, I would try pushing the "0" (zero) key and toggling through the alternate spellings the phone offers until the screen shows "Spell" above the left-hand "soft" key [top left key, with the 3 dots on it].
