The hardware upgrades number for store reps to call is one digit different from a cheap motel number on the other side of the country. One of my coworkers called them today by accident and they tried to upgrade his room for him and sell him a vacation package :D .
yea right!!!

When i worked for the cable department I had a custy dispute some payperview charges. He demanded to know the titles so i read them all out to him in the store, when he ordered, when he watched them and their cost. I then told him if he wanted a lower bill then he should stop watching porn on cable. I was able to sell him some Internet at a good low introductory price.
Dave Chapelle has the solution.
He suggests we all become very open with our racism and make sure we are equal about it. Don't be hating somebody more then the other now children. It seemed more logical then the politically correct way. lol

I was making $1.50 above minimum now the new hires will make the same as me since the company starts people $0.75 over the minimum.

What really gets me is that even our competitors gave their employees a raise to match the minimum and my company goes and cuts our commissions as well.
I think its time i set fireworks off in my store dumpster again (it was an accident last year I SWEAR!!).

Set up a prepaid just to get the phone as mentioned in the last post. But be aware that 911 Will be the only number you can call after that expires.(30 days) You will also lose the phone # and repeated calling for none emergency purposes of 911 will increase the wait time for an operator. So minimum wage went up by 75 cents in my area last week. Most companies applied raises to keep people from leaving, my company did jack all. I discovered i would actually make more hourly if i went to McDs as a team leader!!!!!!! :evil: :? :?

Same in retail
The same thing happens in retail. After training everybody is perky and happy to listen to a customer drone on about some problem. After about 3 weeks you can start to see their eyes glaze over as soon as a customer starts talking. That blank stare tells you they realized the company has stolen their soul.

thats amazing!!! I was the last guy in my area on dial up...then it got disconnected. Ive been stealing high speed from my neighbor for about 2 years. You'd think with my discounts id have got my own by now....whatever I'm saving 10 bucks a month!!!! :D

I just cut the cable since most people will disconnect after the promo. plus cable is cheaper in my area then dish. So i just tell the custy ill see them in 6 months and in most cases i do.

Ive lost so much commission to walmart, best buy and franchise stores. I have to stick to the price as dictated by head office no bargaining. The same goes for accessories, no discounts what so ever.

I was told by our tech guys that all txt for the carrier are stored on servers for 72 hours and then deleted. For blackberry pin messages their system is different since they go to a RIM server before bouncing back to our networks and RIM doesn't store the messages. I believe thats why the government uses blackberry's since a PIN is pretty well untraceable. France banned the use of blackberry's in government offices a few years ago since ...

We all have blackberries and are continuously on them. Even the management will be checking their emails while on the floor. Besides where would we be with out mass-pin-messaging when an attractive cust walks in or when one of our favorite screamers come for their monthly b****ing?

Rogers, Bell and Telus are doing good, a little snowed in though. I take back my earlier post. It snowed none stop all day and the roads where a mess tonight. Not biblical proportions but bad enough some people should have stayed home.
Over exaggeration of the weather.
So this snow storm that we've been hearing about all week finally shows up today in Toronto. After all the bright red weather warnings and the 24 hour news updates on TV I was expecting something of biblical proportions. Its a major disappointment, we only got about a foot (30cm) of the fluff. I'm sick of the TV stations getting everybody into a panic and over exaggerating the weather. ITS NOT THAT BAD!!! So I have to work a mandatory 3 shifts a week at my store plus I'm in school full time.
For those of you out there in school still how do you balance school and work? I'm having problems only doing three shifts and keeping up with my papers. Are there companies that will only let you work 1 or 2 shifts?

YES!!!
We will all say "no" because it is the politically correct thing to say. :D But we all know it does depending on what area your store is in. I just become knowledgeable in my products and if somebody doesn't want to do business with me then thats their loss.

I make about the same with each. The problem is there is a 60 day hold on wireless commissions and a 2 week hold on the others.
