Yes, but when the merger between Cingular and "the new" at&t happend, alot of dealers and 3rd party call centers that had worked for Cingular were shut down and many people lost their jobs..I as well worked through both of those mergers and now am a Dobson employee..and agian am worried about my job. It is true that Cingular cut no jobs..But AT&T did. AND THIS IS NOT A MERGER..IT'S A BUY OUT!

As far as the call centers go, you guys should be o.k. I worked for a 3rd party cingular center when the merger with AT&T took place and they still have their jobs. It's everyone else thats worried at this point...myself included.

They shut off the service?? That is not what should have happend at all. They could have easily corrected that in cust care..you didn't even have to contactpac at all. :x

It can be easily fixed over the ph..If you get the right rep. All they have to do is replc the port in # w/ the orig. ctn and then swap the potrt to the correct #. It will take about 72 hrs to make all the chgs and home ports do take about 7 days.

I can't say lawsuite..But I do agree it's misleading. And it does somewhat imply mobile to mobile,But that's only if your smart enough to understand it.

Actually,I dvr'd the commerical and paused it..Not in the fine print,either. We have the same thing in newspaper ads here,and it's not on there either. I think they messed that one up.

The commercials are misleading in every way,even the unity plan isn't an additional 5.00 like they state.

LOL,I just meant that whenever something new comes out,there are always issues for teh first few mos,something they have to work out. No apple is not moto,but they aren't perfect.

The iphone is not going to be worth getting for the first few mos. There will be kinks that need to be worked out,just with any other phone. My suggestion is to wait a few mos before getting one.

We are being told that even then,the option is not there. I do work in a 3rd party call center for CS so i may be wrong. Everything changes here

Why do people whine and ask such dumb questions?? The wireless i,no matter the company is out to make money..Bottom line. If you don't like it,switch.But rest assured that the next carrier you go to wants the same thing..Money. And even if its charged in a diff way..it's all the same.

If you've ever really listened to the advertisement..which most don't,Cingular didn't start that. It was done by an independent research company. It was brought to Cingulars attention after the research was done. Dont get me wrong,It's old,It sucks for us. But cingular didn't do it. Place blame where it is due. And verizon,Tmobile,Alltel..NO BETTER :)

Again..That's for mobile to mobile(on network) only. It does not include any other carriers,unless it from that 200 in original message starter package.

611 will work as they have to transfer you to the add-a-line dept. just make sure that you are specific in telling that dept that you want no changes to your current plan. :)

Sadley,I've been there. Being in teh call center for 3 years,I have been pulled for support. When i answer the phone as a csr,i get no respect from the customers,But when i answer as a supervisor..I'm the most loved person the customer has come in contact with,even when i tell them the same thing the rep did.

The post from westregcustcare was copied from csp,hence the words used: "blue","orange" and of course "tdma". these are internal terms not used with our customers so they would not be posted on olam :)

you can get around it if you add the line over the ph at ccare we have 2 types of teh 550 plan,1 that is a 3 line limit and the other we can add up to 5 lines on,no chg in price

Not if you are honest about it. You can't get caught doing something off network,if you aren't doing it. If you have a PDA that you want to use the data with..then get on the right package.It will benefit you and cingular in the long run,If you don't want to use the data then don't add any packages. But if you try to get away with using the medianet(not compatible) package,which is only 14.99 for the works,in 30 days ...

I will keep that in mind.I wasn't sure if asurion works in diffrent ways with the diffrent carriers. With cingular they request the imei before sending the replacement phone. So I can assume the only thing to do at this point is to follow through with the warranty exchange? I have read that all of the strobes have the same problem? If that's the case,it would be a known defect through the carrier and I may be able to ...

i agree completely..however,wouldn't you know that you had a working ph,after you put in the sim for the old ph..it didn't work in the new phone??WHAT PART OF THAT MADE YOU DRIVE TO A STORE TO GET IT FIXED??? NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!!

I JUST SPENT 22 MINS TOUBLESHOOTING A PHONE THAT COULDN'T GET A SIGNAL(WITH THE CUSTOMER IN THE STORE) AND FOUND OUT THAT THE CUSTOMER THOUGHT HE COULD STILL USE HIS OLD SIM CARD????????????????????????????????????????? ?????CAN THEY PLEASE BE SMARTER???!!! :roll:
