THE ONLY THING ATT CHANGES FROM THE OTHERS IS THEY DISABLED THE OPTION TO CHANGE 3G TO 2G MANUALLY..EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS FLAWLESSLY EVEN THE AUTO SWITCHING FROM 3G TO 2G!ITS A GREAT PHONE,JUST READ THE REVIEWS HERE ON PHONESCOOP.THAT SHOULD HELP IN YOUR DESITION!!I GOT RID OF MY IPHONE 3G AND DONT REGRET IT A BIT!!!!

yes they prob put a note in the system not sure what to do at this point hard to say. you might be stuck. you can get insurance on it through square trade they have accedental insurance just don't let them know it's damaged untill after you get the insurance. good luck.

same thing happened to me,i added the fan discount last week,then it shouwed not eligible for upgrade ,so i called att,and they fixed it ,it took about 2 hours to take effect om the accound,after you call,go to att and log in to your account and check upgrade availability,when it says yes then your good to go,thats what i did,i had absolutely no problems....good luck

I CALLED ATT YESTERDAY AND THE LADY TOLD ME THAT IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT PHONE YOU HAVE,YOU CAN UPGRADE TO A NEW 2 YEAR CONTRACT IF YOU PURCHASE THE 3G IPHONE.YOU CAN GET IT FOR 199 OR 299 FOR THE 16GIG,NOW THATS WHAT THEY TOLD ME SO YOU MAY WANT TO CALL AND ASK YOURSELF CAUSE YOU KNOW HOW THEY REALLY DONT KNOW SH*T....

there is no difference between the 16 and 8 gig iphone,only more memory,this phone is the best,all the people putting negative reviews about this phone are just plain stupid,theres not any noticable difference between the 1.1.3-.4 just bug fixes,pretty much all the features that the iphone lacks now will be added via free software updates within the next year,even third party apps. dont let anybody persuade you to get it or not to get it,its a great phone,laptop,ipod,movie player,google ...
