DSchwiz submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

Very small, nice design, no problems with volume or key size as other have stated. Only had it for two days, so we'll see after a couple of months. Great signal and call quality so far, no surprise. Replacing a Motorola F3, so this is an upgrade. Will try to come back in a while and leave more insight.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

narn3049 submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

Okay, so I previously had the samsung a707 sync, and I began to have problems with it, then it died, It could have been something with the sim card, it could have been the battery, and it was over it's warranty. So I went to walmart to see what new phones they had there. Well this phone was on sale. As prepaid. I just switched my sim card out and was on my new phone. I did previously have a Nokia 1600 and 1110i (they kind of are matching from previous card phone service) and I just loved those phones. This phone is easy to use and is great for the senior citizen. The only reason I am giving this device a 4.5 is because of the phone having no camera.

On the bright side it has the sims and I love the sims, it has just always (i dont know been a fun game, and so I got the whole series that was able for this phone.

Ringtones:
The ringtones are great in sound and just are great in general. If you do like texting then this phone *might* not get the job done. I would find you suitable for the Samsung Jack, Propel, something with the keyboard.

I am a big texter and you still can text well however I feel i was 99 times faster on the sync. Also I feel more confident that when i drop this phone its not going to break in like 300 peices, compaired to what my 200 dollar razor thin phone did to me.

Call quality:
I have not had a dropped call ever on this phone, whereas, samsung you got me 2 to 3 a day.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Cellular Phone submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

Pros: great reception, long battery life, compact and portable, and it has loud volume and ringers. Easy to text, easy to use, phone functions better if you delete all the preinstalled games, themes, tones, and graphics. Nice keypad,

Cons: small screen, sometimes hard to see, but I keep my wallpaper turned off so I can see the display well even outside. This phone is so tiny compared to my Nokia 6010. I wish it were the same length and size, etc, but hey, it's a good upgrade.

The battery life is great, at 1020mAH I am not complaining.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

ATnT Nokia submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

I had this phone from 2007 to early 2008 when I upgraded to a smart phone. I had so much trouble with the smart phone that I finally decided to get a new phone I decided to go out and buy a Nokia 2610 prepaid kit and use it on my plan.

Why? Simple. The Nokia 2610 has stellar battery life, clear reception, strong signal, strong durability, and it is easy to use. I also bought a leather case for the phone so it is hard to destroy. I never had any issues with the phone, except a lack of features, but you know what? More expensive models often exchange durability and functionality for bells and whistles. you get all that jazz, but you also get a buggy phone that has signal issues, short battery life, and poor call quality. With the Nokia 2610, I don't have these problems.

With the Nokia 2610, you may not get the bells and whistles, but if you want a phone that works well and will last you forever with no issues, I suggest you run out and get a Nokia 2610.

AT&T also has the 2600 classic which is nowhere near as good as the 2610. If you have AT&T or T-Mobile and want a good basic GSM phone, get the Nokia 2610 and get a leather case for it and you will have a reliable phone to last you through a whole contract and then some!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

The 2610 is a basic phone that has excellent reception, call quality, and durability. If you just make calls and want something reliable, this is a good investment. For those of you looking to improve your reception, this phone will do the trick for you. No frills or gadgets, but it gets the job done with the best of them.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

BaiLes submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

Where: Houston and surrounding areas.
Who: T-Mobile.

I'm the type of person that needs a phone FIRST. This is the perfect phone in that sense.

After wearing down the Nokia 3220 to the point of being embarrassed to use it in public (however, the phone itself works just fine), I decided to switch to the 2610.

Cons:
Can't change the color of the antenna and battery bars. Kind of annoying!

The center of the menu key makes a clicky noise when I press it. Kind of wish that wasn't the case, especially if I'm trying to be discrete in a quiet room.

2MB of memory. Not the best for storing a whole bunch of pictures you receive from relatives.

Neutral: A camera would've been nice, even if it was just a VGA. I'm not one to take a bunch of pictures with my phone, but would like the option.

Pros:
Sound quality -- awesome. People hear me and I hear them. I expect nothing less from Nokia.
Compact
Ok screen
Customizable selection keys, as well as D-Pad keys.
Great battery life!
Customizable text size for text messaging.
Can make the screen saver a digital clock.

Great phone :)

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

ektor submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

A basic phone for making calls. If you don't waste your money on mobile internet or multimedia crap it is perfect! Great battery life, sounds good and is a compact phone easy to carry around. Just adjust the contrast to low for a better screen display and turn off the sleep mode. You can adjust the call volume during a call only using < or > with the directional key.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

hoppy_froglet submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

I bought my Nokia 2610 through the online AT&T store for an excellent price compared to the in-town store. Though it has a few items that bug me a bit, I would rate it very high for a low cost phone.

It feels good in the hand, love the blue lighted keypad. Solid feel, good size. The toggle is a bit wobbly and I make mistakes sometimes and get the wrong response. That is one of my bugaboos about it.

I like the styling, the look, the screen is a good size. Only improvement there would be a QWERTY foldout or slideout version keypad besides the usual. But, for my first mobile browser enabled phone, I don't think I would have chosen differently. I'm glad it's my "first AT&T."

My absolutely first cellphone experience is a Tracfone Nokia 2126, no browser. So the 2610 was for me at least, a deluxe experience. A person more used to devices with lots of extra features might not be satisfied, but it does what it ought for the design.

I now want a QWERTY device and might like something that plays music, has a camera. Had to start somewhere with AT&T and glad I started here.

PRO:
FAST texting, can adjust the text size, nice screen, nice layout, clean look and feel, can do email,eBay; good loud speakerphone; like the alarm, calendar, timer, notes; nice selection of downloadable graphics, ringtones, love the croaking frog alert/wallpaper/screensavers. Like the MEdia Net, good 3G speed page loader, FAST scrolling, good browser keypad command responses. Has a quality feel to it, great basic phone.

CON:
Sometimes crashes, particularly under heavy texting, but the negs might just be my phone. The backlighting goes out way too fast, couldn't fix that with settings. Sometimes get error messages with texts saying it failed delivery, THAT's a bugaboo. Had to delete preloaded games to put just a few graphics/tones onboard. Hard to see screen outside even in partial shade.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

eric_cartman submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

This phone is perfect for those who JUST want a phone. It doesnt have the fancy bluetooth stereo (or bluetooth for that matter), microSD, camera or video or nothing. It's a basic phone that lets you talk, text message and web browsing (at GPRS Speed, which limits it to basic wap sites). Also, since its not fancy and stuff, the battery lasts longer (upto 10 days standby), and it also has profiles and stuff. The only problem is that the buttons feel clumsy, especially the navigation pad.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

The New ATnT Wireless submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

The Nokia 2610 is a basic phone that comes with a lot of features and is available with major GSM carriers such as AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile.

Basics:

The Nokia 2610 ranks 5/5 for durability, signal strength, call quality, length of battery life, and a simple user friendly menu. The keypad is very decent, the only trouble is the arrow keys, sometimes I hit a wrong button.

Features:

Features include MMS, MP3 ringer capabilities, voice recorder, high resolution screen (for a basic), games, graphics, themes, ringers, and Internet capabilities.

The phone provides solid service for customers looking for a device without spending too much. Granted, this phone does not have bluetooth, but you can acquire an earpiece set for the phone.

For users who desire a simple wireless device, the Nokia 2610 is a smart choice.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

MotoV3RAZR2008 submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

The 2610 model is a good phone for people who just need a basic solid performer.

The phone comes with good battery life, decent signal strength, reception is good, and it comes packed with many features for a basic candy bar style phone.

Some of your pros include easy to use menu, keypad is also simple and easy, and the phone has fairly loud ringing volume.

Some of the cons are that the menu is a little bit slow, and you can't change the color of the signal/battery level bars in stand by mode.

The phone does have a beautiful screen, and it is capable of MP3 ringers. Also, the memory for this basic phone is generous, and you can download some fun games, like Tetris and Bowling!

Texting with this phone is fairly simple too.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a good, basic phone for a low price, you have found the right hand set. The Nokia 2610 will provide you with a reliable wireless device for years to come.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

ejb11235 submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

The primary purpose of a $30 cell phone is to allow you to make cell phone calls. This phone does exactly that and does it well.

The Nokia 2610 is available from TMobile as a pre-paid "To-Go" phone for $30. The rep at the TMobile store told me activate the phone with the included SIM card and use up the free 10 minutes before I put in my own SIM. Apparently there can be some warranty problems or improper activation issues if you don't.

This phone has no bluetooth, no camera, doesn't come with a USB cable, and isn't (from what I've read) supported by Nokia's sync software. Sure, I'd love to have some of these features, but then it wouldn't be a $30 phone.

PROS--This phone provides way better signal coverage than my old phone (T610), both in my home and on a highway I drive a lot. Actually, I'm stunned on how much more coverage I'm getting. Call quality is excellent.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

titanium12 submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

I love this phone for several reasons:

1. It is basic and exactly what I was looking for.
2. It was cheap (bought new for $39.99).
3. It is small.
4. Epic battery life.
5. Great, reliable signal.
6. Messages send extremely quickly.
7. Nokia dependability.

At first, the screen was hard to see, but after changing the contrast it was fine.

Cons:

None really. Maybe a side key for volume. That would be kind of cool, though it hasn't made a difference yet.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

The screen is darkly tinted and has a reflective type effect which makes it hard to see at times.

2. Basic Phone, no camera, bluethooth, MP3 blah blah blah - but you don't buy this phone for the extras!!

Pros:
1. Price!! This phone can be purchased for around $39.99 sometimes less and is available through many sources.

2. Has your standard Nokia functions
Reception and internet browsing work well
Volume on earpiece and speaker are pretty good. Receives text and picture messages quickly.

The Nokia 2610 is a great entry level phone for the U.S. - A nice phone to use as prepaid for yourself, the kids or a secondary or backup handset.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

It can be purchased for 40 bucks for Tmobile. Decent buy for the money and it gets the job done. I would check into other options if you have more money to do so though.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

dlc110161 submitted this review of the Nokia 2610:

Overall rating: 2.5 (out of 5)

I have always been very pleased with Nokia phones which is why I went hunting for a Nokia bar phone to replace my very outdated bar phone. I picked this one up and immediately had troubles...

Reading the screen is not at all easy. Certainly can not see this phone when outside or in bright light. I've maxed out the Contrast which helps SOME.

Pressing the Menu button is quite difficult. There are times when I have to press it multiple times to get it to respond - especially when attempting to answer a call or locking / unlocking the keypad.

Frankly, I'm on the lookout for a phone to use as a replacement for this thing.

Dawn

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Screen is not as vibrant as other previous Nokia models for this venue. 6010, had 4096K display but it was crisper. 6030 is smaller and on the same par as the 2610. Battery on all is great. RF is superb.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)
