I've used The Mogul, Wing, 8125, 8525, Treo 750, and a bevy of other smartphones, both Windows Mobile and non-Windows Mobile; yet the HP Ipaq 6915 is the best off all! Of course, no phone is perfect, but this is darn close!

Cons:
Battery life sucks, but then again, I do use many features, as well as my added on crap.
The internet is kinda slow for the processor that it has (416 mhz). Whoever said that size matters was wrong!
No Windows Mobile 6 upgrade will be available.

Pros:
It's a bar model. I don't like slide or flip phones.
Camera, altough it's under a different format than other Pocket PC's, is still good.
It takes my 4GB Mini SD card.
No dropped calls.
Loud sound for ringers, music and calls.
Can handle many applications flawlessly.
Comes with holster, headphones, and data cable/cradle {which also charges the phone}.

If you can find one, get one!

I purchased HP iPAQ hw6945. Most negative input from other reviewers is just plain wrong. They didn't dig into this feature intense PocketPC

RINGER MYTH: MP3 files aren't supported
RINGER FACT: You can use MP3 file as ringers

STORAGE M:Not enough storage.
STORAGE F: I bought 1GB mini-SD. It's working fine. I've saved a handful of MP3 songs to it, and several short videos. (2 to 3 minutes) It works seamlessly, and it is extremely easy to add files to it using the included ActiveSync software. Officially: 128MB ROM/64MB RAM/1GB mini-SD

TOUCHSCREEN M: I read that the buttons to click with the stylus are too small and cannot be changed.
TOUCHSCREEN F: By selecting Start, Settings, Input you will find that the setting is automatically set to "Small keys" for the Keyboard. Setting this to "Large keys" makes each letter and number the perfect size for me

SIZE M: Too big
SIZE F: Not much bigger than my Razor. Use a Bluetooth headset, and you're using third millennium technology instead of last millenniums "hold to ear" technology!

MEMORY M: Not enough
MEMORY F: I played videos (from the Mini-SD), and they ran as expected. Not DVD quality, but enjoyable

CAMERA M: Poor quality
CAMERA F: Acceptable for camera phone. Preset to midrange quality. Reset

FLIGHT MODE M: Not available
FLIGHT MODE F: Turn phone on/off easily. One touch w/ stylus

OVERALL: I'm sure there are other phones better in various areas. But, this phone has more features, and is great overall. No PocketPC is perfect, but this one probably delivers quality on more features than other PocketPCs. I've read that gamers might want to go elsewhere.I figure a gamer should buy this phone for it's features, and a gaming machine also. Think about this: top quality business oriented desktop PCs aren't made to be gaming machines

If you like AOL just because it's "easy", you may prefer Blackberry. Otherwise, I suggest buying iPAQ 6945. I'm glad I did!

User Review: Good balance... better screen sir

We purchased this pda to use with rogers wireless in Canada. Threw in our sim cards and they worked as phones right away. Nice sound with the speaker phone. The EDGE also worked and we were syncing with exchange in 30 minutes. The GPS is cool, but microsoft maps of our area are crap.

The screen should be 480x480. The 240 res just looks blocky. Battery life is 1 day, so charge at night.

We may get the 1800ma extended battery and see how much that changes the profile of the pda. The keyboard works well and I'd say this is the swiss army knife of pda/phone/gps/bt/wifi for now.

I have had this phones for about 2 months now, and I am very impressed with the performance.

Pro's
-Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC Phone Edition
-1.3MP Camera (Takes Good Pictures for a Phone)
-416 Mhz Intel Xscale Processor very quick
-GPS (Works Well)
-WiFi(No Problems connecting in Networks)
-QWERTY Keyboard easy to use
-EarPiece Volume Loud and Clear
-Bluetooth
-Quad Band GSM with EDGE
-MiniSD Memory
-Good Battery Life (Average for a PDA Phone)
-Touch Screen

Con's
-Screen Resolution 240X240 could be better.
-Speakerphone volume could be louder, but is clear
-Can't turn phone off like other PDA phones.

Overall, I would recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for a Good all in one device with solid performance.

User Review: Good convergence phone

I purchased an overseas phone because this one has everything that I need in a phone/pda device.

Set up is straight forward and very easy to do (even though this is a UK model and I am in the US).

Pros:
WM5 (play movies and music)
PDA
GPS (a fantastic advantage)
Phone quality above average
Wi-Fi

Cons:
I have had some problems with headsets (blue tooth mainly) and this might be due to the person whose phone I was talking to, I am trying other wired headsets right now.

The phone quality is pretty good. The phone does maintain a connection throughout the area that I live (southern California) but it does not meet my "gold standard" (my old Treo 650 would connect just about anywhere).

I use a free service www.mail2web.com for syncing my information (I had the MDA that I used it on and when I entered the settings, my phone automatically synced up and all my contacts and calendar were automatically downloaded into my phone, very painless).

I use wi-fi around the area to check my email. Works great.

I have a 2gb minisd card setup with all my movies.

The PDA is good, keeps me organized and on tack with what I need to do (see exchange server information above).

The newest feature that I love is the GPS. I have used it going to and from work and it works great. I a map for where I am traveling to and have already entered the address where I need to go so I can navigate there with ease. The routing works fantastic, if you go a different way then what the program suggests, it will change the route to reflect your new location.

A great all around phone/PDA/GPS. Highly recommended. Only downside is the problem with my blue tooth headset (probably not the phones fault).
