crkclrdgrl submitted this review of the Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133:

Overall rating: 1.5 (out of 5)

Pros
- nice giant internal and external displays
- keypad lock
- nice loud ringtones

Cons
- screen turned black when closing the phone
- screen would turn white when the phone was opened

The original Nokia 6126 that I received began having problems three weeks after I got it. After sending it back to the manufacturer and receiving a refurb, I ended up having to send that phone back as well due to the same issues listed in the Cons section of my review. I have not had good luck with this certain device and I do not recommend it to others.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

jcr581 submitted this review of the Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133:

Overall rating: 3.5 (out of 5)

I've owned a few other phones (2 Nokias, a Motorola, a Samsung, and an LG) before this one, and generally Nokia's were my favorite -- until this one.

PROS
- Looked good when I first purchased it.
- Amazing signal, I get signal everywhere, even in places other ATT phones don't.
- Nice screen (both exterior and interior)
- Large and easy to use buttons.
- Fairly good camera.

CONS
- Scratches everywhere! The silver finish on the outside wore off within months after being in my pocket.
- The push button flip feature is horrible if you put your phone in your pocket (you bump it, and the phone will not close until it opens completely).
- Must recharge battery every night.
- Battery cover is flimsy
- Flip is very flimsy
- Very cheap feel to the entire phone.

PROBLEMS:
- Phone mysteriously powers off on occasion.
- Cannot send or receive picture messages, screen goes blank and the phone completely restarts.
- SIM cards! This phone has burned out 3 SIM cards so far.

Not a bad phone, but by far the worst Nokia I've owned. I wouldn't reccommend this phone to anyone, based on my prior experience. But who knows, maybe I just have a dud.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

raul.diane2009 submitted this review of the Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133:

Overall rating: 3 (out of 5)

So this phone was purchased upon its release, and I was impressed!
- Took a 2GB memory card
- Nice bright display
- VERY LOUD for media files
- Handy flip button to open phone

However after normal use, phone started falling apart. Paint peeling, charging port cover fell off and the silver metal lining around the external display fell off. Being a NOKIA handset I assumed the phone would last the duration of my commitment with my service provider. Not happy at all with this phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Steve M submitted this review of the Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133:

Overall rating: 2 (out of 5)

Dont really know why but i was really disappointed with the way this phone is. the call quality was averege and the texting was really annoying because it would never catch on to the words you wanted to say. it wouldnt learn the words that i wanted to use which normally most phones do. Anyway the camera was horrible on the phone. the pictures were very blurry and had bad color. and the thing that got on my nerves the most was the way that the buttons would always catch little things like dirt or sand or just lint in your pocket and it would jam all the buttons so i couldn't press them.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Great screen high res i am on it right now wrighting it on my phone. The main menu is great. I love the fact that you can make and look at folders that the motorola cannot do. Big glich through if you are using the phone it will black out sometimes. I told t-mobile and they gave me a razr :( . Well i hope you find this helpful.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

foofydoo submitted this review of the Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

I absolutely love my phone!!! I love the silver keypad. I also like the features on the phone such as: bluetooth, memory card slot, internet capability, games, and even AM/FM radio. With the memory card, you can download songs or take pictures from a memory card and download them to your phone. Or you can even download pictures from your phone to your computer. The ringer is so loud too! If I misplace my phone, I just call it and can find it easily from the loud ringer. This phone has really treated me well and I will be sad to down-grade it to a back-up phone when it's time to up-grade to a newer phone. I love the AM/FM radio because if I am going somewhere and I want to listen to music, I have the radio right at my fingertips. Nokia in my belief is the BEST brand for phones available to date. I especially love this phone. I highly recommend people into buying it.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Nokia's are just like Honda's, they last a lifetime! The phone was lame....

-I had to buy ringtones for the phone because when I download free ringtones, it wouldnt let me use them as ringtones
-the camera sucks
-low memory

The only feature I liked was the fact that you can apply 3 different pics and when you close and open the phone, they change!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Keeps saying Sim card failed during Registration when it has not. Outer screen burned out. case starting to peel. Battery cover beginning to not want to lock in and comes off on a regular basis.. Battery life is becoming less and less.

The only Pro that I can say at this time is that it has good reception and drops very very few calls. Good graphics on inner screen.

Would not purchase this or probably not another Nokia any time soon,

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

I loved it.

Pros- Mp3,
Expandable memory,
Decent camera in good lighting,
Fun themes made just for it are easy to get,
really fast menu navigation.

Cons- The side keys get pushed in pocket.
Keys feel really cheap,
It has an under-bite,
no flash,

So if look at the pros and cons the pros definatley come out ahead. Until for some odd reason you set it down and accidentally hit the flip button and blam it flies into a couple peices.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Definitly Worth Buying!
Straight to the Facts! This fone is sleek, smart, sexy and great for a mid-level cell-phone user. Great Cell Phone Coverage in Brooklyn, New York 11203 (Kings, NY) w/ T-mobile.
A Great Plus is the music feature, I had the 5300 before, and there is not one difference, but IFR is not included in the 6133.
Pro's:
+ Camera, bad in-doors
+ FM Radio Crystal Clear (Basement Apartment)
+ Music Bass & Clearity
+ Headphone Strap
+ Easy to Hold and feel
+ Downloadable Themes
+ Smart Apps for Download on T-Zones
+ Customizable to the Max
+ Great Phone Coverage, Not One Dropped Call Yet!
+ Internet Speed
Con's:
- Power Button Location
- Camera Picture Quality in-doors
- Can't Rotate Pictures
Overall, this phone is great for anyone who wants use their phone alot, or just wants to have fun with T-mobile Service, 2 things you might want to consider is the Battery Length of talk time. Otherwise, you have chosen the right phone to be your mobile companion. I would recommend to buy this phone or any other Nokia phone that you think matches your needs. I use this phone to make videos. I cannot tell you my link considering phone-scoops do not include guidelines. =].
Well Thats all for now, I dont want this review to be long. Oh well's have fun reading more of my review's! My next review will be on the Motorola W490. Good Luck and Enjoy your new phone, or if your gonna buy it; I suggest strongly that you do.
-PhoneScoopFan95

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Mistatrixsta submitted this review of the Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

I've had the nokia 6126 for approx 10 months now and must say that this is the best phone I've ever owned. The display main display is large and crisp and the mini display is nice as well. The camera takes pretty good pictures, just make sure you have alot of light around you. One feature that can't be beat is the "active standby mode" which allows you to have icons on the main display similar to your desktop computer at home. Making navigation easy with just a touch of a button, literally. Yes, there is a button on side of the phone which releases the flip (really cool) The music player is WOW! I have a 2gb micro sd card and it works great. The sound quality is nice and loud especially if you tweak your eq settings in the music player. I think since having the phone I might have dropped 1 or 2 calls, but that was due to the good old San Antonio, Texas backwoods. Overall the best of the best.

Pros: Excellent sound quality. Lightning fast multi-tasking.

Cons: Dedicated camera button is accidently pressed quite a bit putting the phone in the case or pocket.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

ForkRB submitted this review of the Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133:

Overall rating: 4 (out of 5)

Had a good experience with this phone. The software is good and responsive.

I text a lot. I found it really good for texting, with good key travel and a good-feeling keypress. The text interface is also efficient and useful. Once you hit send, you can almost immediately start doing other things as it sends the message in the background.

If you try to send a picture message, and the picture is over a certain size, it will try to send the message forever and then fail, but not tell you why. Not sure if this is a T-Mobile limitation of a Nokia error.

I find annoying the fact that if I lock the keypad, every time I open the phone, it unlocks itself. This makes it hard to check something on the phone quickly, without turning on key lock again. If you close the phone without locking the keypad, the camera button (located on the side of the phone) can easily be bumped and turn on the camera, take pictures, etc.

The button mechanism which automatically flips open the phone seems to be less rugged than desirable. For some reason, the phone will occasionally not close on the first try, and flip itself back open. It almost always will stay shut on the second try.

The pictures and resolution are pretty good, but I found video left much to be desired. Whatever CODEC it uses leaves apparent large blocks in video. The lens itself is in a place where I am used to putting my finger on a phone, which I assume means that over time it will accumulate a lot of finger grease and scratches. For now, I just have a habit of putting my finger in front of the lens when I'm trying to take a picture.

Pros
-software
-picture quality
-volume, call reception, overall sound
-texting

cons
-video
-keypad lock/unlock and flip-button
-physical design

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

jmastrol submitted this review of the Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

I have owned this phone for over a year and it is one of the best phones I have ever used. I was surprised that the Nokia performed so well. And that is based on using over 40 phones since 1994. Carrier: T-Mobile, Location: San Francisco Bay Area, Used as: mostly as a phone with some text messaging (about 30 text's a month including picture messaging).

Pro's:
+ Excellent reception
+ Great volume at ear-piece
+ Easily works with blue tooth devices
+ Solid feel (rubberized type texture on exterior)
+ Excellent screen quality (inside and out)
+ Reliable (always works, even where signal is low)

Con's
- Battery life could be better, but it is not all that bad
- Need to lock the keys (menu-*) to avoid activating the camera while in pocket
- Interior of case (inside flip) does pick up scratches from dust or particles you may have in your pocket. Not very durable on shiny interior bezel, but keys and screen continue to work flawlessly.

This phone was replaced with another excellent Nokia, the 6086 which has the same great "no dropped calls" RF characteristics as this phone. I hope to try the new Nokia flip phone T-Mobile is selling when my contract renews this year.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

I live in a small city in Northern Idaho, and I have GREAT reception (with T-Mobile)

PROS-
LOVE THE CAMERA!!
GREAT MEMORY SPACE, and options on where to store pictures, music, etc..
EXCELLENT idea for the rubber finish on the outside to protect from scratches, (I've had mine for 8 months now and its not wearing off)
PUSH TO FLIP is the main reason on why I bought it!! =)

Cons~
BATTERY LIFE- BUT HEY THATS WHAT THEY MAKE CAR CHARGERS FOR!! I send about 400+ txt a day, and my battery will last through each and every one of them! =)

I work for T-Mobile, and I see all types of new phones every day. The ONLY reason on why I would ever think of switching phones, is to get that sweet SideKick LX for texting and Myspace lol.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

money0808 submitted this review of the Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

this phone is AWESOME!!! I don't like how it didn't come with a usb cable or anything to put music and music videos on. that's kind of stupid. But I will find a way, =). The camera is soo good. I love taking pics and making videos with it. The 16 million color screen is absolutely amazing. Everything is bright and visible. I have noticed that the rubber is starting to peel off. but I don't really care. a case covers it. lol. But I have noticed that the IM clients sometimes delay the message from being sent. It really annoys me. Like a lot. I'm always on AIM or MSN and I don't like my messages taking 10 minutes to send. I also love the inbox capabilities. I now have over 1000 text messsages in my inbox!!!!!! OMG!!!! It's so amazing. this phone is awesome. It's easy to text on too. and the ability to have a set screen saver on the mini display is just sweet. For only paying 40$ for this phone, it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo worth it!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

XxHollywood.x.LegendXx submitted this review of the Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

First off I want to say that my Nokia 6133 is my favorite phone out of every phone I've had so far and believe me I've had quite a variety.
BUT! (oh yes, there is a but) it has one problem. Apparently, it just can't withstand someone flipping it open all the time, which seems strange since it's...a flip phone.

Then again I'm 16 years old, I'm answering my phone and calling people all the time, they beg me to use the house phone but I really don't understand why when I have a pretty little phone sitting right next to me.
Now I've had this phone for a little over 8 months and it literally just fell apart out of nowhere on Saturday (Jan. 5, 2008). I went to call someone and when I opened it it said "sim card not registered" and became a swivel phone.

So WARNING! Spring action open may not withstand your teenage daughter or son (maybe even you, you social butterfly you).

Other than that though I must say...

BEST PHONE EVER MADE! when it comes to most functions, I mean it has:

- a pretty good little camera + video
- mp3 player
- RADIO!!! (came in handy when I went through my painting stage let me tell ya)
- nice keypad, not to slippery (for texting and what not)
- The organizer is not to shabby, sure it's no palm pilot but that is not what you're getting it for...duh
- It has internet capability (again not Microsoft mobile but jeeze kids, it's a phone) along with 4 different instant messengers (aim, yahoo, etc.)
- really loud ring, and handset (no one wants to strain to listen to people whisper when they are actually yelling)
- Bluetooth = perfection
- It's easy on the eyes
- and so much more I'm forgetting

So if you're not one of those people that literally talks 250 hours in eight months, it might be a good choice.

GOOD LUCK!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)
