I have only had my phone for 6 months and the screen is constantly freezing or turning upside down. Then I started having problems with the phone not holding a charge for more than for brief calls and then finally today I put it on the charger and it sparks and the charging port came out of the phone and looks like I took a lighter to it. For a first time phone, it's great. We get excellent reception and the screen is very easy on the eyes. Battery life is not bad either. <br /><br />PROS:<br />- Easy to see screen<br />- Voice activated dialing<br />- Preset messages for texting<br />- Bright message indicator light on outside of the phone<br />- Ability to vibrate while ringing<br />- Good signal quality<br />- Simplicity<br />- Colorful menus<br />- Nicely spaced buttons<br />- Address book is excellent. Room for 2 mobile numbers, work number, home number, fax number, 2 email addresses and not to mention a place to writes notes on the contact.<br />- I really like a couple of the ring tones, although there are not many to start with.<br /><br />CONS:<br />- Could use louder ring tones and more variety<br />- Semi fragile (both my husband and nephew have cracked the screen and had to replace within in a month. But if you buy the leather pouch, no problems. We purchased the leather pouch and my husband (yet again) dropped the phone and this time with no problems. It's almost husband proof with the case.<br />- Could use a stronger battery. Talk time is only 3.5 hours. Standby time is great though.<br />- Lack of punctuations for texting. There are a lot of punctuations (parenthesis and equal signs for example) that are not available for texting<br />- In the address book, have to put extensions for people in the notes section of the contact.<br /><br />All in all, this is an EXCELLENT phone for simplicity and for being solid. We absolutely love them. We will be upgrading to a phone with a little more bells and whistles but this was an excellent starter phone. <br /><br />Now, this phone is suppose to come with 2 free games on it but unfortunately Cricket seems to remove them before selling (I believe). I have seen a couple of forum posts regarding people who have the phone through Cricket not having the games. I do not have them as well. Choose this one. We've had our 3 in our family for nearly a year and have NO problems with any of them. Like I said, no bells and no whistles. Who really cares? A phone should be a phone. A camera should be a camera. Etc. We trust ours to the point we've had our land line disconnected and use only this phone. No problems.<br />Pros: Size, battery life, dependability.<br />Cons: Ring could be louder.
