This phone didn't really have any cool settings or anything special, but I thought "as long as it works". WRONG! This phone sometimes freezes. It doesn't let me answer a call from time to time. Sometimes NO reception at all, when my husband's SAMSUNG A920 on the same plan, has perfect reception. (which his is a great phone by the way). People will call me, and it never rang. now after time, the screen turns SO dark, I have to rub it hard to get any picture at all. The camera wont' take any pictures anymore. and ON and ON. I took it in, because I have insurance on it, and the service center says it has water damage; I don't recall getting it wet. Bought new charger, thought that would fix. <br /><br />3-07, Sprint Store said the battery could be the problem. Bought new battery. <br /><br />4-07, phone wouldn't hold charge but worked sometimes.<br /><br />5-07, stopped working, couldn't use even when it was "charging" or plugged in. Geez.<br /><br />6-2-07, Sprint Store, waited 2 hours, told its dead, they would replace. 1 hour later got a "new" refurbished phone. Promised it would work. (all my stored stuff is gone as phone was dead)<br /><br />6-3-07, plugged phone in to charge. Nothing happened, exact same problem.<br /><br />6-5-07, called Sprint with my husband. Wanted different phone, Did not trust this model. Told by the tech dept @ Sprint that this phone was bad. Her cousin went through like 5 in 2 months. Gave recommendation. LONG process of trying to replace phone with recommended phone. Account Remittance, told it would be free to do this, Customer Support Sales, Supervisor that Dept, (transfered, promised to stay on line but didn't), then Corporate Sales, I had a discount through my work. Now Sprint wanted to charge for the phone "upgrade" $30.00 + shipping, Promised Free. Not ok. Canceled my service due to Sprint being unable to fulfill promises and unwillingness to provide equipment to access network. 4 1/2 hours on phone.<br /><br />Sprint breached contract in my opinion. But no, they don't see it that way, I canceled the service. Current and paid up to date, hadn't used the service for over 2 months at that point.<br /><br />Account now in collections for $245 or so. Dispute this. The phone was replaced within the first week due to "water damage"... I found it odd though because i plugged it in to the charger and went to bed and in the morning i couldn't get it to turn on...it worked fine the night before and then not at all a few hours later...(without being near water unless of course it can walk.Then the battery swelled and was replaced 4 months ago, and the entire phone was replaced about 1 month ago because it was logging into the internet,and shutting off and back on. I could plug it in to the charger (at dead or almost dead) and it would only charge a few seconds before proclaiming that the battery is fully charged. Unplug it and the battery bar is full... for about 5 seconds. I hate this phone... so they replaced it a month ago and i am now having the same problem again except this time i cant even talk on it when its plugged in because there is a bad connection. So i take it into the Sprint Store, having to wait about 3 hours. they come out to me saying that it was water damaged(well i told them that in the first place) and MAKE me pay 50$ for another one. So i had that one for about another 4 months and that one starts to stop calling people. So I take it into my favorite place in the world, the dreaded Sprint Store. I wait for about an hour and then they told me that they were to lazy to fix it so the give me another one. But this time it was silver (which looks pretty ugly) and the inside logo was the old one. So ive had that one up til now, and so far the outside screen has stoped working so i have no idea who is calling me and the inside screen was dead but i had to take it apart and managed to fix it. I bought because it was fairly inexpensive and I thought it was like my old phone which finally died after being run over by several cars. I was dead wrong. The camera is worthless as the picture quality sucks. The "power saver mode" is a ridiculous idea, it keeps the screen lit for about a minute when you close the phone, wasting precious battery life. If you are on a call, after a minute everything goes blank so you can't see how long the call is, etc. Sometimes it logs onto to the internet by itself for no reason and you have to turn the phone off to log off. The way text messages work is just absurd, take my word on this. Up until a few days ago it would sometimes not ring or show someone called, but you would get a voicemail if the caller left one. Now it does that ALWAYS, it won't say that you missed a call unless you go into the menu and look at the missed calls screen. It no longer always I send text messages either. The battery life is poor, requiring charged every two days with minimal use. The charger itself is temperamental as well, requiring the jack to be in an exact position. Too many times has the phone displayed that it had half battery life left, then I would get a call, speak for about a minute, then it would die without warning. The speakerphone is alright, and it does have a big contact list, but it is set up so that can have several numbers per contact, but you can only assign one of the numbers for speed dial, so it is kind of pointless to have it set up that way if you use speed dial. Also, if you don't put a lock on the camera, it will take pictures in your pocket and drain the battery even more. The geniuses at LG decided to put the camera button on the side and it is extremely sensitive. I think that about covers it. I will never buy another product from LG again. You cannot specify "none" as a ringer for pesky numbers (i.e. you have to specify a ring-tone, even if you don't want to be bothered). The "battery Low" warning is absolutely USELESS - it should be renamed to "Shutoff in Progress" warning; the phone beeps once and begins shutting down. Shutting down and powering up the phone take forever.<br /><br />Pros:<br />The different functions are generally easy to find, and the menus are easy to navigate.
