narn3049 submitted this review of the Motorola V300:

Overall rating: 3.5 (out of 5)

the phone top ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYs FELT like it would break off when it was flipped open, but it was a good phone otherwise and i liked it when i owned it. i dropped it and texted on it tons until the top came off and until then it worked excellently. if you buy one that has a stronger flip, then i would get it.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

I love it. It is a 2005 year model. That is fine with me. Everything works. It isn't too light weight or too heavy. Really just the right weight. I love a bargain. I love the phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Julius submitted this review of the Motorola V300:

Overall rating: 4 (out of 5)

PROS: Very atrractive to the teenage and twenty-something generation. You can use the speakerphone with the phone shut, the phone had almost an unlimited amount of space on it. This phone for its generation was one worth having. It had that sleek design, and the cool tones-some of which you would've thought you was at the club once you've heard some of them. It took good pictures.

CONS: Seeing that this phone came from T-Mobile, I found out that the phone was free online after the first few months I had it. I was swearing like a sailor BIG TIME when I found that out. I worked off the waterfront, and I couldn't keep a call for anything. This phone wasn't very durable, and after having other problems with the phone, I decided to go back to Verizon after a two-year absence from them, and haven't looked back ever since.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

sapnalona submitted this review of the Motorola V300:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

Both of my parents own these phones and they love it. When I saw it, I wanted one too, but of course my contract wasn't over yet.

Straight to the point:

-Loud ringer, speaker, and phone volume.

-Clear call on both sides.

-Good reception better than my samsung d415.

-Easy text messaging.

-Camera good quality, not the best, but decent enough. Remember it's not a digital camera.

So far, it has been a year and these phones are still working good!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

jgisbo007 submitted this review of the Motorola V300:

Overall rating: 3 (out of 5)

This phone was awesome for 2 years. After that, I couldn't hear out of it any more. I had to use speaker phone. This problem happened alot with other phones with the same or a variation of the model. I got it for free though so I can't complain, but it's a gamble.

Pros:
- Good camera
- durable
- personalization and settings very extensive
- good speaker and sound

Cons:
- skin peels off easily
- the hearing thing

Overall, I'd say this phone isn't worth any more than $50.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Shakaree submitted this review of the Motorola V300:

Overall rating: 2 (out of 5)

I had the Motorola v300 through T-Mobile. Overall in the beginning it performed very well for about 2-3 months then it broke down. It wouldn't hold a signal anymore, calls included echo and static, phone wasn't in general performing anymore. Camera became degraded over time becoming fuzzy and the pictures were coming out very pix-elated. Overall it is a below average phone after it gets used for a little bit.

Pros:
Good design
Camera Good (In the beginning)
Internet
Durable

Cons:
Poor reception
Camera (after 2 months of use)
Call quality
No Bluetooth

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

keri578 submitted this review of the Motorola V300:

Overall rating: 2.5 (out of 5)

Absolutely LOVED this phone when I first got my hands on it.. a friend of mine gave me hers because my phone at the time had issues. Anyways, it was already two years old and still worked perfectly.. despite the beat up outside and such. Then I ordered my own off ebay that was 5 months old and have had equal amounts of pros and cons.

PROS:

RINGTONES!! Very clear and hi-fi ringers are a must for this phone.. definitely worth the two bucks for the tones.

Bright, colorful, large screen

Easy to read and the setup is easy to understand

Good camera and my storage space was never ending

CONS:

don't twist the antenna. I'd twist it absent-mindedly and now the antenna falls out constantly and I've even lost it a few times. Then when you ask for a new one, the new one falls out too because you stripped the antenna hole from twisting it too much.

The ear piece. I had it for maybe a month and the whole sound went out completely and I have to put it on speaker phone in order to hear the other person.

When switching ringers it makes obnoxious bleeps on every ringer.. which is bad when your a high school student and its in your back pocket during class and you lean the wrong way in your seat. BLEEP! BLEEP! Phone gets confiscated.

Semi-bulky.. I got used to it though

Overall its a sweet phone.. but I'm not the only one who has had troubles with the ear piece so thats definitely something to watch out for. I went into T-Mobile to see if there was anything they could do and they snubbed me for buying it through ebay and not them. figures.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

And I have nothing but trouble with it.

Pros: Warm inviting Color screen(So nice indeed), Speakephone, decent camera, MP3 Ringtones, Quick Web browsing, fun key layout.

Cons: Screen does not came on for minutes at a time, the earpiece doesn't work. Sometimes speakerphone connects before or after the call is connected.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

terdfurguson2001 submitted this review of the Motorola V300:

Overall rating: 1 (out of 5)

I have gone threw 2 or 3 of these phones, and a friend of mine had the same phone and he went threw 3, until tmobile just give him the razor. The functions on the phone work fine and dandy, but after a lil bit the ear piece messes up and you can hardly here, or even gets to the point were you cant hear the other person. For a number of times i have had to carry on the conversations on speaker phone option. I hope its just this phone model because I want the Pebl but its a Motorola too, and I dont want to run into the same crap. Its a pain to send my phone off to get replace with a; most likely referbished phone, and end up with the EXACT same problem. This was my first with a Motorola phone, in the past i have always had Nokias and never had a problem. I give it a 1 star because it has games and an alarm clock, but the purpose of having a phone, to make calls, it doesnt even get a rateing. I just cant wait until my tax money comes in because the minute it does im getting another phone. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND this phone to anyone. Between two people we have gone threw about 5 or 6 phones, thats just rediculous

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

I liked the blue face plate, but didn't love it. Sometimes it even looked purple to me, which isn't one of my favorite colors. My first flip phone, so it was certainly new to me.

Pros:

-Good, colorful screen.
-Useful/fun programs (i.e. demos/downloadable games, calculator, calendar, etc.)
-Good reception (most of the time, T-Mobile)
-Cool downloadable content (i.e. music clip ringtones)

Cons:

-Difficult to hear the other person you're talking to (always had to put it on speaker)
-When I put it on speaker phone, the person on the other line had a hard time hearing me sometimes
-In certain lighting, the phone looked purple...

Overall, good flip phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Boblodge submitted this review of the Motorola V300:

Overall rating: 3 (out of 5)

I've had this phone for almost a year, and everyday it's been both extremely useful, yet frustrating too.
The volume of the ear piece, speaker phone and rings are great, but if you always carry your phone in your pocket, like I do, then the buttons on the outside of the phone get pushed all the time, putting me in Silent mode (when I'm expecting a call, of course!), or making loud chirps when I'm in class. You can lock out this feature, but then you're always having to input a code to change from loud to silent. Samsungs are much better in that you just hold down the # key to change ring modes.
This phone gets great signals everywhere, but it often connects partially. The other party picks up and nobody hears each other, but the phone says "connected", so you get used to having to hang up and redial a lot. It adds to your minutes too.
The camera feature is great for making phone wallpaper and even sending to my T-Mobile Web album, but the phone's processor is so slow you do a lot of waiting for it to catch up to your keystrokes while going through the menus.
I'll be replacing this phone soon with guess what? another Motorola! To me the loud speaker phone on Motorolas makes up for all the shortcomings, since I hate wearing earplugs and do most of my talking in the car.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

05civse submitted this review of the Motorola V300:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

I had this phone for two years with no big problems. In the last 2 or 3 months i had it it started to freeze once a week when i tried to do to many things at once or to fast. It was indistructable, dropped many times, and taken apart more than i can remember. The only thing that killed it was falling into a pan of lacquer thinner (completely submerged).

Pros:
Awesome programming
Very user friendly
All around awesome phone

Cons:
i have none besides pocket lint getting into the bottom where the charger plugs into blocking the terminals from making a connection (this is solved by picking at it or rubbing your shirt on it)

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

domer submitted this review of the Motorola V300:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

This is my third flip phone and I am very satisfied with it. Before this phone I had a Siemens CF62 (piece o' crap) and a Motorola V400 (another piece o' crap). The V400 has numerous issues with the software and the biggest problem was that the ear piece and Mic. stopped working from time to time. The CF62 turned off by itself in cold weather!!

But the V300 has no problem whatsoever. It's a nicely built phone with all the featured you need in a high end phone.

I don't understand why so many people complained about low ring volume. The phone has numerous high quality ring tones to choose from and the volume is good enough for me to hear it from the basement when my phone is upstairs in the other corner of the house.

The ear piece volume is awesome. I can listen clearly even when the ear piece volume is 4 of 7 while I am driving.

The camera works just great and if you use your camera phone just to capture rare moments, 5Mb of memory is not so bad.

PROS:

1. Aesthetics, looks gorgeous
2. Well built, no squeaky noise
3. The display is the brightest of all phones I have used
4. Includes all useful features such as
-call timer
-alarm clock (lets you set numerous alarms)
-notepad
-date book
-Calculator
5.Excellent VGA camera with 3X optical zoom, you can actually take decent pics of your computer monitor to set as wallpaper
6. Picture caller ID
7. 35 Polyphonic ring tones
8. External display is bright and does not go blank when you open the clamshell.

Cons:

1. If you change service provider or unlock the phone, the web browser does not work.

I think that someone with a little bit more knowledge of the software installed, could fix this glitch quite easily.

2. Lacks the video recorder, unlike V400, eventhough the end user memory is same in both phones.

3. Call swap feature is either missing or hard to use.

Summary: Higly recommended phone. It's definitley a good value for money.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

icainc submitted this review of the Motorola V300:

Overall rating: 3.5 (out of 5)

I used this phone with T-Mobile service for roughly 2 years. Despite several cons, I grew quite attached to it.

PROS...

- Fairly small for a camera phone.

- Cover LCD displays time and caller ID in a cool blue font.

- Outer blue rubber looks and feels smooth and provides extra protection.

- Speaker phone comes in handy while driving or waiting on hold. No one I spoke to complained while I was using this feature.

- Megatones sound awesome on this phone! Best Ghostbuster's ringtone EVER!!

- Menu is easy to learn and navigate.

- Inner LCD has an adjustable brightness level so it's easy to see.

- Was able to make a call in the back of a bar as well as on some random road in BFE, Oklahoma.

CONS...

- Number buttons are too small and difficult to push. Don't know why Motorola didn't make them bigger seeing how there is plenty of unused space between them.

- Average battery life. I had to get in the habit of recharging it every other night.

- Camera takes awful pictures.

- Weak vibration function and soft ringer compared to other phones.

- Overall, the reception could've been better, but isn't that the case with every phone and service? My biggest complaint, and this could've been T-Mobile's fault not the phone's, was that no conversation lasted longer than 20 minutes before the call was dropped.

After two years, this phone is still in excellent working condition (even dropped it a few times). I would most likely still be using it if I hadn't switched carriers.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)
