mrsncook submitted this review of the HTC Droid Incredible:

Overall rating: 0 (out of 5)

A few months after purchasing my phone, it began to turn off. It began to happen more and more frequently, and the battery was also too hot to hold the phone. When we called HTC, they were rude and unhelpful. I asked for a supervisor several times and was finally connected with a woman who identified herself as a supervisor. After calling corporate, I found out she was not a supervisor at all!

When I finally got in touch with someone who tried to help, they said it wasn't under warranty and might cost $100-200 to attempt to repair. Now I have a piece of junk that won't even turn on.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Joe Kerr submitted this review of the HTC Droid Incredible:

Overall rating: 4 (out of 5)

Was using a Moto Droid X which I loved but always wanted to try the Incredible. After bad luck with the smaller original Droid 2, I finally got the Incredible off of Ebay for around $40. I gotta say I love this phone!
As much as I did like the X I was starting to get tired of how big it was. I did sacrifice a couple things, going from 8MP camera down to a 5MP but it still takes respectable pix and vids. Also hard getting used to the smaller size when typing text or email but I still like that it's smaller than the huge Droid X. The sound is also very good but the speaker is on the back which was pretty common back when this came out. I'm not an Apple guy but this is about the same size of the MePhone which is about the only thing I liked about it when a friend showed me his. Yeah I guess I could love a Galaxy SIII but for right now I'm totally loving the size of the Incredible. The processor is very fast and I like the HTC UI better than the Moto as well.

Call quality is decent and it's hard to get a handle on the battery indicator so I downloaded another one from the app store.

The biggest drawback is definitely the battery and how fast it drains but I can live with that and will probably look for an extended on Ebay, but I'm never really far from a wall or car charger so it's not really a deal breaker.

If you're looking for something a little old school and don't have to get a new cell every single time you're eligible, this may be a cool alternative to check out especially since you can them pretty cheap now without breaking your bank account.

I would only give a perfect 5 if it everything was exactly what I wanted, but what is like that nowadays?
Still a great phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

rompn4x submitted this review of the HTC Droid Incredible:

Overall rating: 4 (out of 5)

I just replaced my ailing and sluggish LG Ally for the Droid Incredible. I was toying with the idea of going iPhone but have become used to the Android OS. This phone is ridiculously fast compared to the Ally. Where the Ally would stumble and lag with a few apps open the HTC doesn't even slow down one bit. Also With 8 gigs of internal space and a 16gig SD card I don't think ill be running out of storage space anytime soon.

One thing however I have noticed is the Droid Incredible seems to get worse reception then the Ally, and the Droid Incredible seems to go in and out of 3G alot.

One low point and is obviously battery life. Why HTC only gave this phone a 1,300Mah battery I will never know. My Ally has a bigger battery then this phone, I can kill a charge in half a day. I ordered a 3,500 mah extended battery and backing so I hope this will solve battey life problems.

Overall though this phone is a powerhouse and I think ill be keeping it for alot longer then I did my Ally.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

It got choppy, i went through 5 phones in 10 months. 2 the speaker blew, and 2 had HORRIBLE reception. Shame because android has a lot of potential. It is thin which is nice, but th back is made of something not much better then saran wrap. Also i would switch out the battery and then my settings would change? once all my contacts were gone? And forget trying to use it as an ipod. It just doesn't compare to the iphone. I am glad it was around to get me through the ridiculousness of verizon not carrying the iphone but I will not miss my incredible.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

knuckleballer34 submitted this review of the HTC Droid Incredible:

Overall rating: 4 (out of 5)

The HTC Droid Incredible is a good smartphone that suffers from a few eccentric characteristics. It's a solid choice for those looking for a smartphone that isn't tablet sized, particularly if your not likely to be covered by Verizon's LTE anytime within the next twelve months.

Pros:
1. Good build quality; exudes class.
2. Snappy processor, the phone rarely lags for anything. Does a good job of running multiple applications.
3. Web browser is top notch, though this is expected for a high end Android device.
4. Excellent screen. The size strikes a perfect balance; it's large enough to allow for a proper multimedia experience, and small enough to not make the phone feel like a small tablet.
5. On screen keyboard works very well, in both portrait and landscape mode, even with my big thumbs.
6. Push e-mail works well.

Neutral:
1. HTC Sense. I absolutely love it, but not everyone does.
2. Data Speeds. This depends on what you expect. I average about 1M down and .7M up.

Cons:
1. Battery life is terrible...OUT OF THE BOX. You have to go into mobile network settings and uncheck "mobile data always on," or else the phone is always "online." You will still get e-mails pushed and social network updates if it is unchecked. I'm usually at 20-30% battery by the end of the day.
2. Defective signal strength indicator. It's absurd that this is a problem in 2011. Download the RealSignal app from Market and forget the stock signal indicator even exists. For the record, the phone gets average reception (about 6-7 out of 10)
3. Call quality isn't all that great. It's certainly not bad, but considering it uses Verizon's network, it's a little underwhelming.

While the phone is somewhat eccentric, i'd recommend it to anyone in the market for a 3G smartphone on Verizon that doesn't require a handbag to carry it in. Those looking for stellar call quality (by Verizon's lofty standards) may want to take a look at other options.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

jreid69 submitted this review of the HTC Droid Incredible:

Overall rating: 1.5 (out of 5)

I have had this phone for almost a year. Correction I have had six of these phones in almost a year. Never experienced that before. I went from a Blackberry user to a Droid to an Incredible. Never had a problem with my Blackberry Curve or my Moto Droid. In fact, my son is still using the Droid.

Pros:
Lovely to look at screenwise
The speed is addictive

Cons:
HTC Sense - let me customize my phone - isn't that the idea that Google started with
Battery life is abysmal - you should not have to buy another battery to use a phone
Signal strength is nothing like Blackberry or Droid

The problem I encountered recently is the phone began rebooting after about 30 min of use (not helpful when using GPS) so Verizon sent a new (refurbished) Incredible. It rebooted haphazardly and more often than my original phone. So they sent another one. It rebooted constantly even after factory resets, soft reboots, etc. I don't know what this rebooting issue is but it was happening on three of these phones. I even switched batteries (since I have 2 due to the short battery life) and that wasn't the issue.

In conclusion, I do not recommend this phone and I am not thrilled with HTC. I have liked my Motorola Droid and now they are sending me a Samsung Continuum. Hope I like that one. Looking forward to the release of the Bionic.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

scotiez submitted this review of the HTC Droid Incredible:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

This is my 1st smart phone. This phone is awesome. I love this phone. Call quality, camera, internet, and what ever else you wanted to do with this phone it is probably the best phone on the market. My one and only grip about this phone is the OEM Battery. When i am at work im not a heavy user and still used 50% of the battery will being not used all that much. After work when i have time to do more stuff the battery drained quickly. Had to put it on the charger before i was done playin with it. BUT i do recommend buying the extended battery and back for this phone. it makes a world of difference. People will say "OHH but it makes it so much thicker" Acutally only the 1st few times you handle the phone you will notice the little bit thicker back on it. After that it feel just as good as before. But with the extended battery i get two days of moderate to heavy use out of it now. A HUGE plus to getting the extended battery. I don't know about you but my day is longer then 5 or 6 hours, That is all the OEM battery lasts with moderate use. I need it to last the whole day with out worring if i am near a plug in to charge my phone. If you are reading this review and are thinking about buying this phone. you will be buying the best phone on the market today, BUT buy the extended battery to go with it. You will be much happier and your phone will easily last all day long or maybe even 2 days like me. All in all this is a great phone. You will not be sorry.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

sgtpeppersband9 submitted this review of the HTC Droid Incredible:

Overall rating: 4 (out of 5)

I just came to this from a Moto Droid a855 and this tops it hands down. Now before I continue, understand I rated the Moto a855 very highly but after 2.2 I literally wanted to shove straight down Motorola's throat! Now, on to my review. Great device and very fast. Read the pros & cons:

Pros

-Amazing screen. Even if not AMOLED like the Galaxy S series, movies look better than either Droid 2 or Droid X as well as pictures.

-Great interface. HTC has without a doubt the best android GUI, no contest

-Light weight.

Cons

-BATTERY! Ugh, this thing dies faster than the MS Kin

-No QWERTY. I know I'm living in the past but try to play any emulator in this (NES, SNES, Genesis) & you will see why physical QWERTY should never die. Should not will.

Overall great phone and am very happy with it. Lucky I have a car charger

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

It takes a little while to get used to if your new to smartphones like I was.

Pros:

-Screen Size(could be slightly bigger, but it looks great.
-Camera is awesome, especially HD video
-Android Market is amazing, it has apps for pretty much anything you can think of.
-Flashlight, very bright, lights up the whole room instead of a small area.

Neutral
-Battery life, could be better, but I use my phone for everything except typing papers.

I highly recommend this phone to anyone who is a heavy phone user looking for a do everything phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

My Iphone was flawless with syncing to microsoft exchange and I wasn't sure if the droid would be the same.
The Droid is a fantastic phone with a great email system and CUSTOMIZATIONS!!!! This was the biggest selling point for me.

PROS:
- Look and feel of the phone. A little plastic looking but a well bit phone.
- Email, the Droid handles email, contact, and calendar just as good or better than the Iphone.
- Voice to text!!! Love it!!!
- Customizations!!!
- Screen size and vibrant color
- Phone insurance, finally!!!
- HTC interface is great.

CONS:
- a little to plastic looking compared to the Iphone. Apple's is known for quality and I do miss the feel of my Iphone.
- Battery, I wish my battery would last all day but I am a heavy user.
- Not having a unified email folder. I do miss this....
- Android Market - not as robust as Apple's appstore.

This phone is fantastic, especially because it was free through Best Buy. I am an Android believe now and my Iphone will be used as an Ipod Touch!!!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

The battery life is pretty much my only gripe with this phone but with caution and some appropriate apps and settings, it can last much longer. The screen is brilliant and the HTC Sense UI truly holds supreme with the deep integration of Facebook, photo gallery, and many other features. All the knock-off widgets available in the Android Market leave you asking for more. The 2.2 update made the phone fly even faster.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

The phone is lightening fast and gives all the feature and customization that the iphone 4 is missing, instead of just being able to change the backgroundon the home screen there is an endless amount of stuff you can do to the home screen to make it custom to you, I have never seen 2 android phones that have the same home screen. if i wanna be fast i can use my phones home screen to get all the info i need or i can open the app and get more info. The only complaint i have is that the front screen is made of glass and is pretty fragile i have already broken the glass with a 3 foot drop to flat carpet. Other than that the phone is an A++

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

brodiego submitted this review of the HTC Droid Incredible:

Overall rating: 3.5 (out of 5)

First, I'm very picky. I've owned the Droid and the Driod X. I absolutely loved the first Droid; it wasn't without its flaws but it was way ahead of the class.

I lost my Droid and bought the Droid X to replace it. The Dx felt slower than my original Droid, and it was simply too large. It isn't a one-handed device.

I just bought the Incredible instead of the Droid 2 based on the following: I do not value the slide-out Qwerty keyboard of the Droid 2, the HTC Inc. is slimmer/lighter, and the reviews were sky high.

It is very fast and 'snappy', the call quality is fantastic, the screen is gorgeous, the camera is very good...

I have one MAJOR complaint: the battery life is absolutely terrible. I MIGHT turn it in for the Droid 2... I'd hate to lose the quickness of the incredible, though... aaaah!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

QLR7 submitted this review of the HTC Droid Incredible:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

I got this phone 2 months ago and I am pleased with this phone. The only down side to this phone is the battery, and I think it has gotten better with the 2.2 update. Ultimately, I bought the 2150mAh battery. That is worth every penny despite the lack of cases due to the added bulk.

The Incredible does phone pretty well. Reception is good. No call quality problems on my end (Tallahassee, FL). Bluetooth calling is ok on my end; however, the other party has complained.

The data works well on my end for the most part. My 1st Incredible would go into 1x only and stay there, especially at work (even roaming onto Sprint). After the phone was run over by a bus, I got a replacement. The new phone doesn't linger in 1x like the 1st. Still taking time to get used to the browser, but I like it though. I get ~700K on the speed tests; web surfing is solid.

This phone has a slight learning curve, but it is notboring at all. I can actually see myself with this phone 2 years from now.

Multimedia is OK. I can care less for the music player, since I use a ZuneHD. The camera is sweet!!! I can't believe I can record HD videos with this thing. It definitely beats my digital camera.

I have folks drooling over my phone and a few coworkers got theirs :)

All in all, I am extremely pleased with this equipment. If you want Droid and portable, then this is the phone for you :)

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

Every new phone you get is missing a favorite feature of your old one.
Coming from an Omnia1 I got this one looking for a phone the same overall size but more capable but since I bent the grid on my old touch screen, making calibration impossible,I would have settled for same capabilities.
The screen, size and ui are about the same since I had mobile shell on my Ophone but that's where it ends.
Pro: speed, reception, power, sound quality, battery life, texting, market, and overall functionality are light years ahead.
Con: without a second phone off charge the battery does not fully charge,a well known by HTC problem with no resolution.
If you want a powerful fast fun easy to use phone with s computer attached this may be the one for you.
fwiw, if you like the battery life and call quality of the LG Dare but a million times more functional this is very close add my standard battery and extended both last the same time on both phones within a few minutes, if I bump charge the Incredible last a bit longer

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

This is my second android device coming from the mytouch3G from tmobile. That phone became agonizingly slow over the year of use and when I first picked up the Incredible I was blown away at the speed. I hope it does get bogged down like my previous phone.

Pros:
Screen
Speed
Swype
Call quality, volume, signal
Nice feel
Ability to customize
Great browser
Only $80 now
Froyo 2.2

Cons:
Apps you can't uninstall like Skype, City Id, facebook, Friend Stream, and more. Real annoying.
Battery life as usual but I might try that 1750mah battery

All in all, this is a terrific device.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

brldvd submitted this review of the HTC Droid Incredible:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

First off let me say that no, I have not owned every phone on the market, however, as far as android devices go, this one beats all others. I have had Blackberry, Windows mobile, and palm devices, all are inferior to the Incredible. I purchased my Incredible days after Verizon released it and knowing that it was a new phone did not complain about some minor glitches, I say minor as I have relatives with the Droid, Droid X, and Droid 2, all of which have had far more complex and irritating problems than the Incredible ever did. Battery life as many others have stated is somewhat short, however, with some knowledge of how to use the phone properly(get a task manager and use it!, set programs to update only as needed, change power settings to your liking, and turn off bluetooth, gps, and wifi when not in use), I use my phone nearly all the time(texting, email, facebook, twitter, and calls), yet I only need to charge it every 2-3 days. Now that all that is out of the way, I hope that all of you Incredible users have received your FROYO update as it only makes the phone better. 3G mobile hot spot is the best feature that the update added. As far as reception goes, this phone has it. I have reception in places i have never had any kind of service before.

Pros: HTC Sense, high res capacitive touch screen, 8MP camera, 720P video recording, great reception, Google Maps with navigation(don't have to pay for VZ Navigator), FROYO 2.2 updateable

Cons: none after 5 months of use phone is still as good as the day i bought it!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

JTIGHE submitted this review of the HTC Droid Incredible:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

I will start off by saying that I have had just about every phone they have made. Blackberry's, Sidekicks, Iphones, and Droids. I have had a love hate relationship with just about all of them. This phone has hands down been the absolute best one I have ever owned. I also am writing this Approx. 2 months after purchase because I do not give any credit to reviews that are given by people who have tried something for under a week. There is a learning curve with any product and submitting a review 2 days after you started using something is not only ridiculous but completely useless. The one thing I would like to touch one first is the battery life. First, anyone who owns a Smart phone knows that the battery will need to be charged at least every night. Especially if you use it alot. Now on any phone other than the iphone 3gs you can have multiple apps running at the same time. For instance, if I simply leave a game I am playing and return to the home screen the game stays on. If you down load any of the amazing " Free" apps that are available, most of them use your phones Internet and gps to work. This will kill your battery as well. Solution... Simply download a "Free" App called a Task Manager and use it. I have a tiny Icon on my home menu that I simply push when I back out of programs which kills all running apps. I am amazed at how many things are running at the same time. My battery lasts all day with out a problem and I use my phone constantly. Now if it was like the Iphone and could only run 1 app at a time the battery would last 3 days but I will take the sacrifice. I also find that my call quality is based on the area. AT&T and Verizon can tell you anything they want, I have both and the reception with both of them changes. Sometimes one is better than the other but for the most part they are close. ( For ref. I live in the New York Metro Area).
Bottom Line Don't be Swayed
Definitely Go check this one out

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)
