Mark_S submitted this review of the Motorola Crush:

Overall rating: 4 (out of 5)

When people get a phone early on in the release, there is bound to be some software issues. That is why Motorola is so nice on the website to permit software updates through a data connection directly to your phone.
Though it is 3 years beyond initial release, I have never had a real issue with this phone. Compact, reliable.
What lost the 1-star was no 3G or Wi-fi.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

WLS submitted this review of the Motorola Crush:

Overall rating: 1.5 (out of 5)

Have had a lot of problems with this phone and it currently is being sent back for repair. I would not recommend it

cons: Large touch screen is easily scratched and the main screen is not customizable.
When you are in a call it is a chore to get back to the speakerphone function and the dialer. Very easy to pocket dial if you are not careful. Sometimes locks up or screen goes blank so you can't dial. Not having hard keys to dial with is a bad idea and not as cool as I thought it would be.

Pros. Cool looking and a Moto so Moto Tools works. It does have an awesome speakerphone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

User Review: Good Touchscreen option, low tech otherwise

Mackey submitted this review of the Motorola Crush:

Overall rating: 3 (out of 5)

I got this in the fall of 2009, and the first one I got kept going crazy with menu selections all on it's own. This started day one. After calling many people late at night or early AM because the phone was posessed (it would be sitting by itself), I got it replaced immediately.

The new one hasn't had that issue, and has been relatively trouble free and more durable than expected. I agree that the Home Screen being annoyingly unconfigurable (my prior 4 Motorola's all had that option), not to mention that most menus are far more shallow than on prior Motos. If you like to tweak your phone for your preferences, this may not be the one for you.

Also, the operation can be a bit buggy- there are "Play" icons (the little triangle) that play the ringtone in some screens, but don't function in others (in fact, you just end up selecting the file as your new ringtone, you can't preview them).

I like the side access to the MicroSD card, and the haptics and keyboard response is on par or better than most other touch screen phones- especially those that I've tried from LG and Samsung. Friends have tried it and were amazed by how accurate and smooth it was.

The Bluetooth is much slower than prior Motos (Q, Q9, SLVR), so waiting for your phonebook to download into your car can take longer than you would expect.

All in all, when it DOES work well, it works well, and gives you a low cost option to get the latest form factor. However, you give up features that Moto owners have taken for granted over the last several generations of phones. This is a VERY basic phone that looks good and performs well.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

jlochman submitted this review of the Motorola Crush:

Overall rating: 2.5 (out of 5)

Pros-
-Decent battery life at about 2-3 days of normal usage

-Good call and music quality

-XP and 7 automatically get the drivers

-Pretty quick internet for not being a smartphone

Cons-
-Almost no changeable settings at all, i.e., home screen, touchscreen sensitivity, or others.

-Touchscreen can be too sensitive. (I've blown on my screen and it has typed letters)

-I randomly wont get sound for phone calls. They can hear me, but i cant hear anything.

If you have sweaty hands do not get this phone! the smallest amount of sweat will make the screen freak out while texting and it will usually delete your whole message.

I'm on my 3rd phone in about 2 months now. i have had the same problems with all three. I would recommend waiting for a software update before purchasing this phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

adihey submitted this review of the Motorola Crush:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

Great to come back to motorola after a disappointing experience with an LG Wine. I live in a spotty signal area and motorola served me the best so far. Even if I kind a like a flip phone, this is not bad after you get the grip of it.

Pros:
- great signal strength (thumbs up motorola)
- great clarity of voice at both ends
- really nice size
- good feel in your hand ( I was afraid I would drop it)
- the best music player I've ever seen (the volume and sound on speaker is better than the Ipod touch I have)
- good touch keyboard (it's fun to text)
- great camera
- great screen
- great stereo headphones for music and talk (the mike with a button option is very cool) - I can use these with my Ipod touch too
- 3.5 mm headphone jack - I can listen to music in my car
- great to have quick access to the memory card (not under the battery or something like that as in a RAZR or KRZR)
- good battery life (it can be improved)
- you don't need a data plan with it

Cons:
- a few extra steps/clicks to get where you want to go
- not being able to customize the menu (icons) - to delete those you're not using and add other (maybe with easyedge?)
- I wish it will allow you to have addresses too for your contacts (since you are able to sync with PC through Morotola tools) so i won't carry my Ipod with me for that

Over all - a really nice touch phone. Great sound quality in talking and music player (my two main things I look in a phone). Recommended.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)
