Cellular Phone submitted this review of the Motorola i365 / i365IS:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

The positive reviews are correct. This phone just rocks. It is tough enough to withstand harsh environments, and you get a large keypad that's easy to use. I love the loud ringers, the extendable antenna, and the crystal clear calling.

I also love the huge size of this phone. I have big hands so I need a BIG phone!

The phone is by far the best performing phone I've ever owned.

And I really like Nextel's service too! PTT is amazing!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

MrFlashport submitted this review of the Motorola i365 / i365IS:

Overall rating: 5 (out of 5)

Make no mistake, the i365 is a true INDUSTRIAL tool meant for BUSINESS, not some plastic fragile tech toy like an iPhone that would not survive a day on a construction site or riding on an ambulance.

No, it doesn't have an MP3 player, camera or any frills. It is designed to go to work, and work all day, not play. If you want a rugged, top performing industrial iDEN unit look further. It's basically an updated i325 with Bluetooth, sleek design, a much better keypad, and more memory for Java midlets.

Pro's:

-MilSpec for rain, water spray, dust, shock and extremes most consumer cellphones would melt into a pile of plastic shards

-EXCELLENT LOUD and CLEAR audio thanks to the huge front facing speaker

-BIG easy to use keys even with gloves on

-RF performance that cannot be beat

-Supports advanced iDEN features such as Isolated site operation, talkgroup scan, etc.

-DirectTalk off network two-way radio capable

-Comes with a large capacity battery with a LOCKING cover that won't pop out if you drop the unit and has an O-ring to keep water and dust out of the compartment

-Bluetooth

CONS:

There simply aren't any. For it's intended purpose as an industrial iDEN handset, this is a superb product that hails to the early days of iDEN radios built for BUSINESS use.

This isn't going to win any awards for being sleek, but if you collect power tools and live on a construction site or fire truck, this is right at home. It isn't your daughter or nieces' Sidekick, you could use it to smash that Sidekick to pieces when she gets and F on her homework for too much texting, and it wouldn't it put a scratch on it.

Way to go Motorola, we are getting back to what you are known for with the i365.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

I have no trouble reading the display in direct sunlight. it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that alot of other phones have, but it does its job regardless!

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

erikclarke submitted this review of the Motorola i365 / i365IS:

Overall rating: 4.5 (out of 5)

This phone is the best talker available on any network. The voice communication feature is what this device is all about. It has none of the bells and whistles that normally distract us from the shortcomings of the convergent mobile devices and still manages to shine as a telephone.

Pros:
1) Loud and clear speaker, ear-piece and earphone (better than my home phone for conversations)
2) Smooth, artifact-free voice calls leading to perfect voice-mail recordings (unlike most mobiles)
3) Powerful battery for all-day service
4) High-power RF reception in areas of weak signal-strength
5) Finely constructed keypad for rapid-fire T9 texting
6) Lacks the commonplace "Nextel" hollow, cold sound when communicating
7) Stands upright on flat surfaces for easy to manage speaker-phone use
8) Sounds like a factory-installed car-phone kit when attached to the dash with an over-the-counter holder
9) High quality military-grade construction and business-like, no-nonsense styling
10) Wrist/Neck lanyard hole
11) Screen is easy to read in direct sunlight

Cons:
1) No hi-tech fluff stuff (MP3, Camera, EV-DO Rev "A", etc.)

I have used a wide variety of the devices that are chocked full with e-mail, web, wi-fi, music and photo functionality but have never used any device that executes its primary function as well as this device does as a phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)

feliciaann1450 submitted this review of the Motorola i365 / i365IS:

Overall rating: 4 (out of 5)

I work for Nextel, so I hear all of the bad and good things about this phone. This phone may not be all that attractive but it can stand a hell of a beating. The speaker on this phone is absolutely amazing. It is so crystal clean and loud also. My favorite part about this phone would have to be the keypad on it- just because you know you are not going to break them. Definately would reccomend to buy this phone.

(Follow link to rate this review or report it to us as inappropriate.)
