I actually like the size of the keyboard, and there are a lot of really good features to the phone. I also think the camera is pretty amazing for a phone camera. There are a few problems that I have encountered more recently, It freezes sometimes when you receive multiple texts or are online when you receive a text. It is also pretty slow in general. The battery life is also small. I need to charge it almost everyday. Also recently, the speaker stopped working so I can't actually talk to people on the phone. Having owned only slim and long phones before, at first I was unsure about the squarish look and feel, but it soon won me over.<br /><br />Here's why:<br /><br />1) Beautiful wide screen makes for great photo, video and web browsing (which is good with Sprint’s browser, but awesome with Opera Mini �" be sure to download it).<br />2) Thin and light �" much lighter than most smartphones<br />3) Outstanding call quality in &amp; out<br />4) Better reception than most other Sprint phones (Western PA)<br />5) Understated, elegant look<br />6) Metal front and rubber coated back makes for a durable, comfortable design that doesn't try to slip out of your hand like slim, shiny phones<br />7) Excellent camera, best I've seen in a phone, very quick processing<br />8) Lightning-fast texting (one touch text button) - Sprint’s threaded messaging is terrific too<br />9) Good quality one-touch speakerphone<br />10) Sprint’s application manager allows running multiple apps. in the background - it works great on this phone and rivals many smartphones.<br /><br />Here’s some bad points:<br /><br />1) Both screens very difficult to see in direct sunlight<br />2) Tedious to dial numbers (like most keyboard oriented phones)<br />3) Phone occasionally freezes and requires removal of battery<br />4) Battery life not consistent �" using browser makes the indicator jump up and down and kills battery very quickly<br /><br />Summary: This phone has just about everything you need in a convenient package and the “bad” points are not biggies. So either embrace or get past the oddball squarish looks and you will get hooked.<br />NOTE: The Lotus Elite is similar but adds a full function external touch screen. Got one for me and one for my mom last summer, and we both have loved them ever since. Amazing apps, amazing battery life. Call quality is superb and camera is best I've had in a phone. GPS was a welcome surprise. Keyboard is better than Centro's as well. This thing is a beast of a phone, its so capable, LG could advertise it as a smartphone and I'd be fooled. Only problem I've had is opening the phone one handed can be a learning curve.<br /><br />ATTENTION: PLEASE DOWNLOAD OPERA MINI. I have the regular $14.99 unlimited text message and that miracly includes my email on my phone. I have push Gmail, threaded SMS, picture mail, solid turn by turn navigation and GPS maps, a full and very usable QWERTY keyboard, great call quality and coverage, Youtube, very loud speakerphone...and I could go on. The phone is pocketable and very easy to use one-handed. Just download and install Opera mini and you have a satisfying mobile browsing experience. Sprints $69 Simply Everything plan is a great value if you compare what you get against the other national carriers. If you want a PDA/smartphone then go pay more and get one. If you want a great value with exceptional connectivity and features, then buy an LG Lotus. I don't like teeny tiny phones- see, I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, &amp; it's hard for me to hold little phones. (they kind of fly through the air a lot)<br /><br />My recommendation is: as soon as you're able to, GO GET THIS PHONE! =D I told hubby that I wasn't ever going to change phone styles again- next time I'm up for a phone, I'll either keep this one, or I'll move on to whatever upgraded version this phone will have.<br /><br />The connectivity is fast, the large screen is *great* for navigation (which I use a lot, since I'm "directionally challenged"), the keyboard is easy to use, &amp; on a silly note- making custom ring tones for this phone is dead easy. I love this phone it is so different. I love the clam shell w/ the full keyboard. I don't have the problems of hitting a button or the slider coming open like I did with the Rumor. The music player is awesome and you can listen to music while you are doing other applications on the phone... big plus. The ONLY drawback I have is it is not the sturdiest phone ever. Sadly, my husband and I share this phone and he is HORRIBLE on phones and he managed to break it.
