Sound is clear on all accounts, pictures clear, battery life is long-term. They have been from Canada to Maui, dropped, rained on, slobbered on by our dogs and still, we are using them every day. There were always different things going wrong. As one said if you drop it, its all over. I wasn't receiving calls or couldn't make calls it was just a mess. But then again I got it for like 20 bucks, I think? Its very cheap and more bang for your buck, however I wanted more so I upgraded again! Not excellent, but ok for driving in a lot of traffic, walking around on campus, etc. I'm in New Mexico with T-Mobile.<br />Anyway, T-Mobile sent me out three of these before offering up their "multiple exchange program." Speaker phone is not real lound and kind of distorted when turned up.<br /><br /><br />Pros<br />Seems to be stable with no bugs, keypad works well even though its different. Signal is great even in bad areas my Nokia 6133 wouldnt work in. I buy a lot of cell phones, and am usually very forgiving, but this one has too many deficiencies to be a keeper. <br /><br />The thing has randomly turned off on me six times after i either missed or chose to miss a phone call. I have seen it happen, it just turns off at the end of the ring cycle.<br /><br />Admittedly it could just be a bad individual Samsung Beat, but another reason I am bringing it back is the incredibly ugly menus and color scheme. The texting interface is very sloppy. And my main gripe is the terrible looking screen. It is simply sub-par. The resolution is horrible, pictures look like they were made with an etch-a-sketch. <br /><br />Its not all bad though. <br /><br />Pros: <br /><br />-Very cool looking when closed, sleek black finish and cool green accents. (I dig the green external display too for the time)<br /><br />-Excellent button press when texting or dialing, there is a very satisfying 'click'<br /><br />-loud, clear ringtones, excellent call quality<br /><br />-comes with a memory card<br /><br />-comes with headphones for listening to music<br /><br />CONS:<br /><br />-Horrid screen resolution, colors are shabby<br /><br />-Random shutdown problem (although this could just be a "lemon")<br /><br />-Insanely small amount of internal memory<br /><br />Overall, not worth the full retail I paid.
