It was my first phone though, so that is obviously one reason. However there are some issues I've had.<br /><br />PROS:<br />-Decent battery (3-5 days without a lot of use)<br />-QWERTY keyboard is nice<br />-Sleek and slim<br />-Easy to navigate<br /><br />CONS:<br />-Takes some getting used to<br />-Easy to drop<br />-Hard to find covers for<br />-Only allows 40-50 messages in inbox. Piece of crap! The phone goes blank on you, the alarm never goes off, it breaks easily, the camera broke like 4 times, keys are small...ughh! Not worth my money. Anyways i got 2 of them. My friend broke the first one. Then with my warranty they send me a used Alias. The charger didn't want to work! So then I got the Alias 2 and I am so thankful i got that one. I have a memory card so no worries about memory anyway. The phone is great for messaging and decent for web browsing. The only two cons are the battery life and the phone just seems to shut down and power back up on its own. The battery life goes fast during talk time and it usually shuts off in the middle of an internet browsing session. It does not shut too often but still is annoying when it does. Ill hold on to it for a while and move on to something better in the future. Still not that bad of a phone though. I have had an alias in every color. The first two broke because of charging problems and the third one that I am currently using now cuts off very frequently when receiving a picture/video message or when trying to access the internet. When fliping the phone to either direction, it sometimes freezes or show the wrong screen. It seems like once you take it off the charger, an hour later it goes dead. (talk time, not so good) I have contacted verizon about this problem, but it they keep trying to give me the same phone again. This is the second one that I've had that the speaker has gone out. I can no longer talk on it like a normal phone I have to flip it to the QWERTY side and talk on it in speaker phone. I can't have a private conversation anymore because it's on speaker and everyone can hear what I'm talking about. It wouldn't bother me so much if this what the only time that this has happened to me. But like I said this is my SECOND time that this has happened to me and the only thing verizon can do about this is send me another one. (Flat keys, in my experience, need to be larger and more spaced for me to use them as easily.) There's no number row at the top of the keyboard, though, and the work-arounds for that aren't intuitive. <br /><br />The screen is large enough to display Accuweather's animated radar weather maps clearly. And there's a note space for each contact, like the Samsung SCH-u550. It is my 3rd Samsung. My main problem is that over the past 15 months the signal has gotten progressive worse. I used to get a signal everywhere. I get no signal in buildings more than 3 stories. When I visit my parents I get no signal and they do; we all have Verizon. I also randomly lose signal in downtown Baltimore when I'm outside!! My other phones had external antennas. I wish this phone did. I use it everyday, and it is my only phone I have (no landline at home). Call quality is first for me since that is what a phone is really for, and next would be texting, and then other stuff. Call quality is great, and I would compare it to a landline. Texting took some getting used to, but once I learned the "feel" of the keyboard, I can now text with my thumbs, and text as fast as I can on my desktop keyboard, and I don't get many errors. I actually get more with a computer keyboard. I haven't had any problem with the hinge, and yes, I did drop it a couple of times. If you get the premium plan from Verizon you get so much included. I use the VZ Nagigator regularly, and the music player is a great substitution for my ipod when I don't have it with me.
