I love to talk... for hours at a time and this phone keeps up with me battery and all. But when the low battery thingy beeps you had better be ready to plug it in. Predictive text is really good, and has and easy to use add word feature. Reception is great, and I live in a very rural area so that was a nice surprise. Also, I have two little boys who on more than one occasion have accidentally put my phone in their toy box and it has made it through just fine. I have also dropped it a few times and have not had a problem at all. The only things I do not LOVE about this phone are the vibrate is on the weak side, and you cannot assign people their own text ring tone. Other than that this phone is great, functional and stylish! Camera is very easy to use.<br /><br />The screen is very bright and the brightness level is adjustable.<br /><br />The ring is not quiet like so many people have said, I can hear it just fine. You can adjust the volume level and 5 is really loud.<br /><br />I like all the ringtones already on the phone. They are chimey, but nice. The manual say gently slide off but it's pretty tough. AND you cannot personalize the left and right soft keys as you can on moto's. I never use the t-zones so know I have a button I'll never use. It would've been nice to be able to change it to the phone book or something instead of having to go in to the menu to get to it. And the camera is awefully dark, I'll see if I can change it. Maybe it does better in bright light. The pictures are amazingly clear, even in low light. It really caught me off guard!<br />- Super slim, fits just about anywhere.<br />- Good call quality.<br />- Good battery life. I use my phone pretty heavily and it can make it through 2 solid days.<br /><br />CONS:<br />- Earpiece is a little on the quiet side.<br />- Menus aren't customizable. For example, I like my main menu to be in a list form, but the phone won't let me change it to that.<br />- Vibrate is weak. This may be a function of the phone being so small, but if I'm walking down the street I won't feel the phone vibrate.<br />- Ring tones aren't loud enough. In loud environments I often miss phone calls.<br /><br />I think this phone does the basic things well and could just use a few improvements to make it a near-perfect phone. I give it a 4/5 and would still recommend the phone. But after having it for one week, the screen has an internal crack. it is totally messed up. i had in my pocket in a brand new leather case. i took it out of my pocket to be shocked by a broken screen. but yeah... samsung could have made the screen a little bit stronger. Its a great phone but you have to treat it better than a baby!<br />Everything else still works perfectly fine. I love the mp3 player feature. Ok to owners or people about to buy this great phone their is a Small circular port of some type on the back of the phone that has a "loose" cover quick fix for that for those who don't want to miss out on a great phone because of some other dumb review put a piece of tape over it and whoooo hoooo problem solved (that guy needs help)also think about a screen protector and a case (if T-mobile ever gets one into stores).<br />Ok now Pros<br />1. Great camera 1.3 mp easy to move pics to a memory card<br />2. good video again easy to move it to memory card for storage on a PC<br />3. Mp3 player is nice speaker is adequate<br />4. Phone does not feel like a toy (as I thought it would) it's fairly solid given it's small size and slim form<br />5. Works with Yahoo and Google search for pics and videos<br /> ALL in ALL it's a great phone<br /><br />(minor) cons<br />1. no fast forward for music or videos (IE: 6 minute video and you want to watch just the last minute you can't fast forward to the end of it)<br />2. Where is the @ symbol for entering email addresses on the web (IE google username to personalize the google homepage) <br />3. They could have made a slider or swivel slot cover.<br /><br />The Camera software feature is dorky and stupid. The design to try to make you use the online My Album for pics, and the browser text size, suck. I ignore web browsing and most of the extra stuff anyhow.<br /><br />MOST CON: If you like vibrate and ring to work together, the phone vibrates for a while, and the rings follows. If you don't feel the vibe, by the time it rings and you hear it, you'll probably miss your call. I think Samsung should fix this in a patch.<br /><br />Hot Tip: ----><br />Tell T-Mobile cust service on the phone that you found a better phone/plan for cheaper with another carrier, but it's close. For people who are about to leave, they switch you customer retention. (This is with any large company. Try it with your credit card.) They gave me another $50 off, changed the rebate from mail-in to instant, and clipped it to a one year plan renewal. (Final $100/1 yr.) They said I had to have the phone mailed. They made a record. It is sleek, light, and has almost everything that a phone should do and lots more. <br /><br />I got this phone mainly because of the fact it had an MP3 player so I don't have to carry around a MP3 player and my phone at the same time (kill two birds with one stone concept). Also, the price was absolutely great ($100 with a two-year contract with T-Mobile). But I didn't really know until I purchased it that it is a great camera phone as well! I also don't have to carry a camera with me. My little sister had so much fun playing with all the nooks and crannies of this phone. And I was shocked on how great the quality was for the video recorder! This phone may be little, but it packs a lot of punch. <br /><br />Also, I get great reception on this phone! My caller's voice sounds clearer and crisper. I use the speaker function on phones a lot and the speaker mode is quite good. It's a little lower on the volume, but at least I don't hear as much static (unlike my last phone which was a Nokia).<br /><br />It took a while for me to get used to this phone, however. But then again, this is my first Samsung phone. I've had Nokia, Motorola, and LG phones (also an old school Qualcomm phone, but I guess Qualcomms are on obsolete status now) so I'm used to their features, but Samsung is a bit different. The user guide was not really helping much, so I just explored this phone's features mostly on my own. It fell off into my hand with just about no effort. <br /><br />The T-Mobile seller brought out 4 different Samsungs, all with the same issue. As I sat there in the store, I thought against picking this phone up. If something as simple as a small cover for the back of the phone is too hard to get right, what else would be wrong with this $149 item? <br /><br />So I walked out of the T-Mobile store without anything new.
