      <description>&lt;p&gt;U.S. Cellular today announced a trio of new plans for customers of its pre-paid wireless services. The least-expensive feature phone plan costs $35 per month and offers 400 voice minutes voice, 400 text messages, and 400 picture messages. Feature phones can also choose a $50 monthly plan that includes unlimited voice, unlimited messaging, and 1GB of data. Last, U.S. Cellular is offering a $65 monthly option for smartphones that includes unlimited voice, unlimited messaging, and 2GB of data. Select smartphones can use the smartphone plan, including the Samsung Galaxy S II, Mesmerize, and Repp; the Motorola Electrify; the HTC Merge and Wildfire S; and the Huawei Ascend II.

The Wildfire S will be Virgin Mobile's first device from HTC. It was announced earlier this year. The LG Optimus Slider (pictured) is a rebranded version of the LG Enlighten, and as the name implies is a sideways slider that offers a full QWERTY keyboard. It has a 3.2-inch HVGA display, 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, Bluetooth 3.0, and support for microSD cards up to 32GB. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The HTC Wildfire S will be available October 23 at Best Buy and RadioShack for $199.99. All three are slab-style devices and will reach store shelves in October.&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Hero S:&lt;/b&gt; This smartphone sports a 4.0-inch Super LCD display at qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution, a 5-megapixel main camera, and 1.3-megapixel user-facing camera. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense. It will cost $199.99 after rebate with a new agreement.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Wiidfire S:&lt;/b&gt; This mid-range Android device was announced earlier this year. It has a 600MHz processor, 3.2-inch touch display with 320 x 480 pixels, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, and Bluetooth 3.0+HS.
