love it!
pro's.........now u can change ur background color....the sidekick 3 is smaller and more easy to manage....light weight.. dont feel bulky like the sidekick 2. The buttons are easy to use.....the roll ball on the right side makes it easy to go through the applications really quick. The camera is alittle better.... love the mp3 player.
con's.......feels alittle light....when u turn the screen to open it, it sounds like its gonna break feels very delicate.
over all i love my sidekick 3

Nice phone with features
Ok here are my 2cents.
First, phone itself looks beautiful. from full qwerty keyboard to scroll ball that actually lights up in rainbow colors. its a master piece. But down side is, this phone is for looks and looks alone. NO features at all. Probably one of the worst signal strength and quick draining battery. call quality is horrible and speaker volume is not too loud. Lastly get this phone with your eyes closed if you use it only for text,aim/messanger and something that can get you constant attention. You will definetly love it. But if you actually want a phone with good talk time and call quality this is not for you at all. I purchased mine on jun28th and returned it already!!

Don't buy this phone, that's my recomendation, because I had this phone for 1 week and I didn't like it.

I expected a lot more from this phone, but I got I lot worse. For $350.00 it's NOT WORTH IT !!! I recomend SAMSUNG SGH-X820 !!!
ADDiCTED 2 MY SiDEKiCK 3
I have to first start out by saying that I absolutely love my sidekick 3 and I'm on it like 24/7 and I'm writing this review from it. Umm I think that the people that have complaints about it probable have had the phone since they first came out and I had read all the horrible reviews about it and I was scared to buy it, but I gave it a shot and I am in love with it. I think they probably have been working on the newer phones because I can hear perfectly fine. My camera works good..umm hello is not a digital cam.

I do believe that this phone is made for people berween my age group I'm 17 and love texcting. I don't really use it to make a call. Except like my dad.

Sidekick 3, best phone I ever had.
Okay, so some people can be picky about specifics about this phone, but honestly, it has been the best phone I have ever had. I can stay in contact with family and friends all in the palm of my hand. I absolutely love it.
PROS
1.Easy to use

3.Over the AirUpdates come directly to your phone, you don't have to call or press a code to recieve them.
4.MyFaves Capable (recent OTA)
5.Changable Background Themes you can download for free.
6.Great Voice Quality
7.Awesome Qwerty Keyboard
8.Bluetooth is EAsy to Use
9.Playing Games is easy
10.You can switch back and forth between sections of the phone and return to exactly where you were before
CONS
1.Internet is a bit slow and you can't access every site and a lot of sites come up querky.
2.No Video (major bummer, hoping the Sidekick 4 will have it)
3.Can't send a picture via text message, only through email (I hate that!)
4.Can only use the phone as a modem through Bluetooth (not all of us can afford a freakin bluetooth computer lol)
5.Phone lags a bit when turning on the camera
6. Memory card is a pain in the butt to put in or take out. You have to take the back off and the battery out.
Overall, the phone is awesome. I don't use the internet enough for it to be that big of a Con when it's slow. I've had it for three months and I absolutely love it. Can't wait to see what they come up with in the Sidekick 4. The only major problem I have with the phone is the fact you can't send picture messages. What the heck were they thinking??? lol

Con's (Big Ones At That!)
1. No Custom Ring tones
2. While on the internet, incoming calls will go straight to the voice mail.
3. Regular Incoming calls will go straight to voice mail at times.
4. The web moves like molasses!
5. Poor volume on all calls.
6. Speaker phone is trash!
7. Camera?? I don't even wanna go there...
8. I have returned it four times b/c of problems with the phone and it's features.
9. The Blue tooth Technology is Horrible!
10. No video either!
The con's out weigh the pro's by a large margin. I do not recommend this phone, get a Dash instead!
sidekick III going back I'll keep the sk II
Had the sk III for a week now and am not overly impressed gonna send it back as I cannot justify $350 (1 year) for a phone that just came out and barely matches the competition. No wifi, no video, no fm radio
Cons
Compared to my sk II, the sk III cons are the battery does not last all day, the reception isn't as good and the data rate is faster sometimes but most of the time is as good as or slower then the sk II and the speakerphone isn't as loud which I use as my handsfree.Don't care about bluetooth. Never did and probably never will. Also the os is now so called organized better but I only use the pda apps and I like the sk II where I can scroll to that app and click I'm there and not search for a folder and then find the app I want.
Pros
looks better
removeble battery - rather have my sk II that lasts a day and a half then replacing batteries in the afternoon.
For $350 I want a phone that dazzles. The sk III isn't that phone.

Nice and BIG improvements
This phone is great I mean it has had of new features added to it. I have had many carriers and phones this one is nice. It isn't a PDA but it isn't just a phone. It is great for youngsters and people who like to e-mail, text, web, talk, take pics, and listen to music. It is a great phone with features that any other phone has and maybe more and is very stylish. The trackball makes it very easy to navigate or find your way around the menus and if you know or have one, or seen one you that it has different menu that all the other phones. It isn't for business people nor for anyone who is just looking for a phone. It is in between a phone and a PDA phone. Other then that battery, reception, and screen are some issues but are not a big deal. Spare batteries can purchased. Mp3 files on the phone cannot be set as ringtones but I am sure that if we complain we can soon get an update which will allow us to do this. Very cool phone!
the novelty wore off....fast
On July 10th, 2006 when the sidekick 3 came out I was at T-Mobile buying it.
I just sold it on ebay and am getting ready to ship it out.
First of all, this phone is huge. I didn't notice how much so until i went back to a normal phone. It doesn't fit anywhere. The flip screen is awesome of course, but that eventually messed up too and now flips a bit too far & won't catch itself.
The call quality was AWFUL for the first 6 months I had the phone. Everyone i talked to complained they couldn't hear me or that there was an echo. T-Mobile finally corrected this problem with an OTA update, but it took long enough.
The keyboard is one thing that is great. The keys are easy to hit and typing fast is very easy. I almost died going back to a normal phone.
The camera on this phone sucks. period.
The phone can be extremely glitchy as well. Often the phone will freeze up and i will have to turn it off and back on to fix it. other times the screen will freeze and then go white. Also, when the phone first turns on it is slow getting started.
The blue tooth is a trick. You can only send vcards. Nothing else, at all. And that's also all you can receive. Saying this phone has blue tooth is a huge deception, it's not true.
Don't buy this phone. It's fun for awhile but all the bad catches up eventually so at least take good care of it if you do. That way you can sell it on ebay to some 12 year old.
