VZW V3M

Mar 12, 2007 by ev27

The V3M is definitely a good phone that has been hindered once again by Verizon.

pros
-excellent reception and call quality
-nice size
-decent camera
-voice dial
-itap

con's
-dim outside lcd
-verizon ui, motorola shouldn't let vzw butcher their phones!

Overall the phone is well designed and has excellent call quality even in low signal areas.

I've been wrong about phones before, but.....

..... Motorola may have make something that works for once! This phone is pimp!

Pros:
Fits nicely in my pocket.
Good Camera/Video
It's not a Cingular RAZR.
It plays both WMA & Mp3 formats! (Which is why I took my w300i back)
Sprint TV works almost flawlesly
Loud ringers.
Call clarity is phenomenal (Except for my house {But then again VZW My Treo 700w & Cingy/at&t Sony Ericsson z520 that I use aren't they great in my house either.})

Cons
30 sec max (It's not the RZR's fault; a lot of Sprint's phones are like that)

I really like this phone so far. I was almost gonna get a Fusic, but I have 27 days left to make that decision.

Silver Razr from alltel could be so much better!

Jan 3, 2007 by xyzpdq123456

I had this phone for six hours before it broke, then i traded it in for a different model (that worked!) I received this phone in the mail from alltel and it was brand new, and 6 hours later it was broken...great life expectancy! Anyways when i first opened this phone i thought that i would be keeping this phone forever! It was so skinny and cool and it felt so good in my hand and stuff like that, little did I know it was a piece of crap!

Pros- sweet size
easy to use motorola ui!
great voice quality!

Cons (its long)
no flash on camera!?!? Seriously wtf! If i am paying 80+ dollars for a cellphone it better have a flash on the camera
only 50 texts in inbox and outbox-seriously
-front screen-i needed reading glasses just to see the time!
-Vibrate- was there such thing
-battery life- OK so i do 20000+ texts per month and this phone could not even last 4 hours on the battery
-charger- the charger is on the left so if you are trying to text left handed while driving it does not work out!
-Data cable( headphones) cant be plugged in while it is charging!
Ok cool design but bad phone! I just could not use it it bugged the crap out of me

ok so it broke from texting! The 5 key stopped working! Alltel was going to give me another razr but i said forget it and got the 815 and i love it way better!

RAZR V3m

Dec 19, 2006 by andiwooz

I have been provider and phone hopping for over a year now and have finally landed on a phone i LOVE!
The (Project) RED V3M is stylish and loaded. As opposed to the previous RAZRs this has an MP3 player which is a bonus for all you media freaks out there.
Working for a cell phone manufacturer has given me the opportunity to test many phones and I have to say this is the best one so far. I have had just about every provider and every cell manufacturer out there and US Cellulars V3m has been the easiest to use and has not shown any signs of fault.
PROS:
speaker phone
voice dial
MP3 player
datebook
audio quality
bluetooth
can add your own ringtones, pictures, wallpapers and screen savers.. yay!

CONS:
camera picture not as clear as I prefer, but not bad either.
have had minor issues sending text messages
micro sd card slot is under the battery... yuck!

All in all I recommend this phone to anybody looking for high quality cellular performance and fun multi-media features.

Red Razr

I have had this phone for about week now. The reception on this phone is fantastic. Does what a phone is suppose to do.

Excellent

I broke my Nokia 6255, and decided to get the Red Razr after a friend raved about his. I'm very impressed so far. I had returned a V3c before, due to slipping key pad, and echo in earpiece. I also didn't like that the V3c did not have expandable memory. So far, besides the V3m Red being beautiful, it's has had none of the problems of the V3c, and now has a trans flash slot.

Pros:
-Ear piece is clear as a bell sound, and volume control allows for louder adjustment on the V3m
-Speaker phone is decent, useable in car
-Bluetooth is solid on US Cellular network
-Screen clarity is exceptional
-Expandable memory
-Feels solid in my hand
-Voice dail is easy and accurate
-Camera is MUCH better than V3c version, and much better than my V710 or Nokia--due to better light adjustments mostly
-Multi media
-Battery life is decent, better than I expected
-Enough organizer features to make it useful for a business person
-Easy, intuitive menu
-IT'S JUST GORGEOUS

Cons:
-not much to complain about, except that it is a little too wide for one handed use (I have small hands)and I had to buy new power accessories. Neither were big deals for me.
-Text messaging technique takes some getting used to, and is a little cumbersome (I'm comparing to Nokia 6255)

Awesome Sprint Phone!

Dec 6, 2006 by MJBartanis

I think some reviewers are taking their frustrations out on Verizon, and not the phone. If you're a Sprint customer however, pay no attention. This phone is awesome. Looks great and lasts a nice long time. Just came over from the M900 which had horrible reception and even worse battery life. This is just the right amount of phone and features. I carry a BlackBerry for work and I want to keep it separate from my own phone so I wanted something smaller. This is perfect!

I don't use the camera or music player much but they're there if I want to . Main PROS: good reception and battery life. Sound quality is excellent on both ends. People are asking if I'm at home because I sound so clear as opposed to how I used to sound. I can HEAR everything which I could not on my Samy. Build is solid and quality feeling. Unlike M500 or Sanyo 8400 which feel cheap. The only real con I have (which almost prevented me from getting this) is that everyone seems to have one. Well, now I know why...its an awesome phone and STILL the one everyone is trying to copy or beat.

Reliable Reception But Too Basic For Me

Dec 2, 2006 by mjgoodin

Looking for a phone that gets good reception where others lack? Need a simple easy to use phone with basic features? Maybe you want something small to fit in your pocket. If you answered "yes" to these questions, then the Sprint Motorola RAZR is for you.

This phone gets great reception; I've never had a dropped call. When talking, the speaker phone is loud and when using the phone traditionally you can hear every chirp from your caller.

If less is more then this phone is where it is at! It fits anywhere without unsightly bulges in your pockets or tight fits in your purse. Finally a design that fits anywhere.

Did someone say customizable? I didn't think so. Unlike the other carriers' version of the RAZR, Sprint's is quite possibly the worst. You have a very limited ability to change your menus, shortcut keys, skins, etc. The menus, in addition, are very slow. (If it were grammatically correct I would add three or four more "very to that sentence). The T9 for texting and web browsing is completely useless and time consuming.

All in all, this phone is basic and should be owned by people who like the size and are not worried about the features. For me, however, this phone was a mistake and I am in the process of returning it.

Ok phone - needs interface design overhaul

Dec 1, 2006 by jayvatar

Works but kinks need to be worked out. I bought this phone with blue-tooth in mind, I wanted a wireless ear-bud. I got this phone with the H700. My biggest complaint is that the menus are ridiculous. The selection dial in the center of the phone is too small to really be used in a manner that is easy consistent and quick. Far too often you will be selecting an option and expecting to be done only to realize you had to select another key to confirm your previous action, then you get to redo the entire action from the start. The headset acts strange many times. For instance, when you close the ear bud you would think it would unsync with the phone and from then you could use the phone, but so many times you will hear it resync and unsync at its own will when closed. Then at will the phone will redial your last number. This has happened to me 3 times and I have had the phone for less than a month. Back to phone, getting to the memory card is a joke. I nearly broke the device trying to remove it to upload audio files from my PC. So you will find yourself buying the wireless blue-tooth usb device to not do that anymore. Anyway, the phone seems to work OK most of the time, but it seems impractical for serious phone users.

PROS:
Blue-tooth connectivity
Memory Expandable
Media Player
Nice visual display
Slim and stylish looking

Cons:
Menu interface is horrible!
Side buttons are flimsy and do not have a good feel
Selection dial is too small.
Accessing media card is difficult and beyond difficult for some because it is behind battery, small and hard to remove because of design clamp.

Red Razr is IN!

Dec 1, 2006 by KingJohn405

I have just got the red razr V3m. I had this phone for a couple of days now and its working really good and I am pleased! Good phone and quality for the price. plus charity too.

*PROS:
*1.3 Megapixel cam
*Bluetooth
*Slim and compact.
*very good signal strength and call quality.
*Very nice external and internal screen.
*MP3 Player, actually comes with the headphones too. (if your with sprint)
*Good batter life.
*Expandable memory, Micro SD card.

-CONS:
-Memory slot located in the back so kinda gets annoying pulling the battery in and out.
-UI is tricky, but playing with it you will get used to it.
-Kinda slow on switching menus and loading.
- The new ITAP is kinda tricky to use, not like the T9.

Overall, this is a great phone and quality and i am really pleased with the phone and motorola. This phone has the style and the functions for everyday users. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. And for the price it is a really good deal.
