Good Phone!

Feb 1, 2007 by SDMathew05

Well I've had this phone for about two months and I really enjoy using it. It is also very user friendly! I have had previous Nokia phones and never had a complaint. The only thing that I wish was different about this particular Nokia, is that, I wish there was a way to download ring tones. The stock tones are rather annoying!! There isn't even a decent "ringing phone" tone. Ohh well the next Phone I have will probably be another Motorola. Nokia and Motorola are on the same level as far as I'm concerned! To Nokia good phone, however I hope the next available Flip for a low price is mobile web capable!

A little Rough around the edges

Great fone, it has text messaging, and calling. Everything that i need in a phone, It even has some games that come free with the phone, Golf and solitaire. The only bad part is the phone is not capable of mobile web or Get It Now service, so you can't get new ringtones or wallpapers, and the ones on the phone suck.
I always have service, even in my town where other verizon customers dont have service. Other than the Get It Now not being available, it is a great phone if you dont want all the gadgets like a camera or MP3 player. It is small and compact, and fits easily into the pocket, along with a great vibrate feature, it isn't the buzzy kind of vibration. If you need a great phone for an affordable price, this is the phone for you.

returned it

I owned this for a week and then returned it to VerizonWireless for a Motorola W315 instead.

I found the UI on the 2366 very annoying.
Because the speakerphone only works when the flip is closed and there is no dedicated speakerphone button, you can't listen to your voicemail while pressing keys to navigate in the voicemail. And the first time you press a key (after [send]), the phone switches to a notepad mode and your can't see the softkey for the speakerphone. So after you enter your voicemail password, you have to hit clear multiple times to erase your digit entry, then the softkey for speakerphone reappears, then you can press that, then press the key to listen to a message, then close the phone, then hear the message on speakerphone. Try that while driving at 80mph while eating breakfast and shaving! :-) Even just walking it is a pain.

I also found a minor bug in that I could not get it to show my custom banner. Neither could a VZW tech guy while I was waiting to swap out the phone.

The Motorola W315 I got as a replacement has a much better UI, though the 2366's non-extendable antenna is missed.

Faulty faulty power port

Got this phone sometime in 2007 for my dad that needed a new phone. The charge port went defective in a yr. 6215i had the same issue but that phone lasted longer.
