Best Phone I've Ever Had
This phone is excellent. It is the first phone that Iâve owned that I didnât âjust settle onâ. I traded in a Nokia N75 for this phone. There are many great features with this phone both with the phone itself and within the 6126 community.
Pros:
1. Compact and comfortable, both in use in and in my pocket.
2. Great reception
3. Nice MP3 player with easy to use music player
4. MicroSD expansion slot (up to 2GB)
5. Good camera (best when used outdoors or in good lighting)
6. Totally customizable (much better that Motorola)
7. Push button flip open
8. Thousands of free themes available online
9. Themes easy to create and modify
10. Easy to transfer files via Bluetooth, USB cable or directly to the MicroSD card
11. MP3s can be used as ringtones (the whole reason I got the phone)
12. Crystal clear 240x320 display
Cons:
1. Camera button is on the side and is easily inadvertently activated
2. The battery life is somewhat limited, I usually get about three days between charges
Overall, this is a great phone. It is the best phone Iâve ever had and I have had a lot of cell phones since my first in 1995. The phone is packed with functions and has a very nice menu structure.

Having obsessed over my next phone way too long returning a very dissappointing Rzr Maxx the saga is over & I hope not to change phones for quite sometime.
After 3 weeks of use I am ready to accept the 6126 as the great compromise. There doesn't seem to be a perfect phone for me.
I read many reviews on this phone and as a result not much has been a surprise except that the voice dialing doesn't work reliably for me & many times not at all. Many forum posters have no issue w/ it. I tried a replacement & besides "work" it doesn't get close the name I say - unlike my old E815 that was perfect.
My personal needs in a phone: good call clarity & volume for my below avg hearing, flip style, kinda small&lite, good side button location, Outlook calendar sync, speaker, voice dial, camera, internet not necessary for me. I also don't care much about ring tones or MP3 use. I text 25 times/month.
So the list...
Pro:
- Button flip provides one hand functionality - my favorite feature.
- Sound quality very good, screen very good.
- Nokia pc suite sync to calendar is far superior to Mobile Phone Tools. Its also free to download, you gotta buy the cable extra, I pd $15.
- Size & shape are the perfect (to me), not too small, not too big.
- Speaker sound is purdy good.
- Camera much better than my old & the lens is located such that I rarely inadvertenty smudge it. Zoom is nice.
- Silent vibrate is easy to feel.
- Texting use is ok.
Con:
- News flash, battery life sux. I opted to populate my life w/ chargers at work, car & home.
- Voice dialing doesn't work w/ for me.
- Operating Manual very weak, I learned a lot from online forums.
- Speaker can only be activated during (not prior) a call & you gotta wait for the Loudspeaker button to become available & its same as the End Call button initially.
- Rubber cover for sync cable difficult to get open, it'll tear off one of these days.
I'm just not sure about it
I like the phone, I think it was a good idea but poorly executed. It's loaded with features...too many in my opinion. It's bigger than most phones today but once you open it up you'll see why. Both internal/external displays are impressive and huge. My wallpapers look awesome on this phone.
Pros: Excellent displays (internal and external), 11mb + microSD slot, FM radio, decent reception, cool pushbutton opening mechanism, good software, loud speakerphone, plays MP3's.
Cons: Camera should be better than it is, no flash, feels cheap, no screen protector for internal display, has small port for charger and a huge port for data transfer/earbud on TOP of the phone (I guess for FM radio kit that is sold separately) - I wish it had a single mini USB like my Motorola. Does not play MP3 ringtones (have to convert them to WMA), Camera activates unintentionally all the time when the phone is closed (unless you set the auto lock on the keypad) and lastly the battery life.
I feel that some of the pros I've listed are also cons of this phone. The phone has a lot of nice power hungry features and just doesn't have acceptable talk time. The battery meter goes from fully charged to zero too quickly. Don't know how long that pushbutton mechanism will last either. If you spend a lot of time on the phone, this isn't the one for you unless you use bluetooth and keep a spare battery + car adapter.

I've been in the wireless industry for about a year and a half and every phone that I have ever bought has been a Nokia bar phone, until this one. I'd have to say that it ranks as my favorite next to my Nokia 6230. Ok i know the battery life isn't great, oh well. It might have to do with the screen having 16.7 million colors, which makes it the best display I've seen on a phone.
The reception isn't as great as my 6230 was but still beats the hell out of any Motorola GSM phone.
Text messaging is as easy as ever. buttons are large and very easy to use if you're a fast texter.
By the way, everyone thats having a problem with the MMS glitch, go to your MMS settings and turn off your delivery reports, that'll fix it.

Overall this has been the best phone I've owned, and would highly recommend to any user.
Nokia 6133 For Tmobile!!!
This is by far the best phone i have owned through tmobile and all i really can say is...THANK YOU NOKIA!!! And once again nokia puts out a awesome device to cover up the other lame phones!!! I say this because the price and functions and real HD screen not the old crystal filled screens, have brought it to the ultimate!!! If u want tmobile u want this phone it rocks!!! awesome battery, durable body, crisp clear screen it looks like ur flat screen bright view tv! it is really loud and it has a mp3 radio in it!!! i have yet to like a phone this much since verizon wireless! I have owned the nokia 6103 eww...the motorola razr v3 boring...the blackberry 7230 OLD... the samsung t619 wanna be... the sidekick 2 big... the sidekick 3 over rated...the pebl why?...the samsung t309 lame!... and thats pretty much it the 6133 tops them all! my advice hopefully helps you and it is an awesome texting phone luv it! enjoy urs when u get it lol!
Still a Nokia but getting better!
I have just traded up to a Motorola KRZR K1 which is the best phone I have ever had and T-Mobile sent me a Nokia 6133 to try and possibly use their My Fave plan.
Pro's:
The phone is very small, sleek and if a phone cane be "sexy". It is the lightest weight phone i have ever had.
The Out side screen is large and better quality than some main screens. I has a wall paper, screen saver and open-close video capability. The main screen offers 16 million colors and is the most awesome screen since the Sharp tm-150 (same large size).
Sound and functions are quite good.
Setting the phone up is a bit awkward and the Nokia CD software disk did not work properly with this phone. It seems every function whether it be finding a contact or entering a new one has at least one or two extra steps. The Fun and Apps part is well organized for a phone.
Con's
The camera is quite capable of producing a good outside sunny photo. It also photographs an LCD computer screen quite well. Inside photos are a flashless GREEN.
The RingTone capability is a major puzzle. T-mobile downloads work well, Ringtone JukeBox DOES NOT work. None of the previous ringtones I had will work.
The MicroSd chip did not come with it. It will hold up to 1 Gg. It will also reformat the chip so that no reader or computer PC or Mac can read it. No transfer of data between phones.
The casing feels cheap and flimsy and makes little plastic noises when opened by the button and when closed. the back is very thin plastic and I think will show wear soon.
Battery life is about 2.5 hours talk time, less than half that of the KRZR.
All in all it is a very attractive little phone with an incredible main screen. But in a few months time It will not hold a candle to the KRZR. It's too much of a light weight!
Nokia 6131
Hi i need to know onething that i am up to have a micro flash SD card so which would be the most suitable or the best choice for my new nokia 6131,as 1 of my friends have told me that 512 MB is good for my mobile bt i need 1Gb she told that a card of 1Gb can slow down my phone software so, is that true?Please let me know this thing.

volume of ringer/message alerts
I would've given this phone a 5, but does anyone else have trouble with the ringer automatically doing an ascending volume on ringtones and message alerts? I have it set to do just "ringing" and not ascending....kind of bothers me. By the way this is for the 6133 and I use Cingular in KY. Other than that, it's a GREAT phone that does all it needs to do. Those of you having problems with the camera button coming on in your pocket need to lock the keys. You can do it by pressing the middle button then * or by setting it as a shortcut, which is so nice.
I'm falling in love...please don't break my heart
I've had the phone since Friday.
PROS:
Reception: By far, the most important thins to me. So far, crystal clear (T-Mobile in Pittsburgh, PA). Everyone I've talked to can hear me very well and vice versa. Speakerphone works well too...VERY loud. I was clear on the other side of the room and could still hear the caller clearly, and vice versa. Impressive.
Appearance: I love the display. It's simply beautiful. I also love the many customizable options for themes, wallpapers, icons, etc.
And...Nokia OS...nuff said.
Camera: I've taken some decent pics. Some are a little grainy at times, but it's a cell phone camera-I wasn't expecting miracles. What's cool about this camera is it has grayscale and sepia tone options.
CONS
Battery life: Could stand some improvement, however I was busy downloading MP3s, listening to the radio, making calls, using t-zones, and taking pictures. The phone does a lot, therefore a drain on battery life is to be expected. I think I'll just get one of those travel chargers that are battery-operated from Wal-Mart and use it as needed.
So far, I'm liking this phone a lot. I'm not one for feature-packed phones, but I'm glad I let the salesman talk me into this one.
