NOT 3G

Jul 27, 2007 by Denise1811

The screen is great and the phone is nice. Very comparable to the N75. Except it is not 3G. When you compare the 2 they mirror each other quite nicely. However, when you compare the 2 it says the are both capable of streaming video. Well the 6126 is not a 3G handset and can not get streaming video. The closest thing to streaming video on this phone is actual video's you record your self. Over all it's a great Nokia handset. High five to them !!

Nokia 6126 gets an A+ from me!

Jul 26, 2007 by amandalee03

I just bought the Nokia 6126 from AT&T on Sunday. So far it is great! I have had a Nokia before, one of the really old ones and I can't even remember the model number, it was one with a black and white a two tone screen and really heavy. In the recent past I have been stuck with a crappy Motorola phone. I vowed to never BUY a Motorola phone again, and I am glad I stuck to it.

This phone has a beautiful screen, excellent color. Sound is amazing and clear (compared to my Motorola V220 & L6), the flip button is a neat feature and you can still open it the regular way for all you people who don't like the flip button. It has a MP3 player, you can Instant Message from it. Get online with it. Add frames to your pictures that you take on your phone. You can print your pictures from your phone with PictBridge. Create your own ringtones on the phone and with Nokia PC Suite. You can take a self portrait with the phone closed, although I wish the camera had a flash and the night mode is useless. It has a slim design and simple looking, not LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME!

This is a great phone!

Another Excellent Nokia Phone

Jul 21, 2007 by confederate2

Just bought an unlocked 6131 off ebay. Great phone. Just popped the sim card out of my 6102i and into the 6131 and I was making phone calls.

As with any unlocked phone, it takes a few hours of adjusting settings, googling, downloads from Nokia, etc. to get the INTERNET, MMS, email, etc. working. But it's easy.

PROS:

FM Radio included (the reason I didn't get the 6126 from Cingular, I got spoiled to FM on my 6102i.

1.3 mp 8x zoom camera (coming from a VGA with no zoom, this thing is great)

Mini SD Card (mine came with a 32mb but I bought a 1 gig, installed and ready to go)

Great sound and call quality (Cingular)

Music Player

Beautiful internal screen, amazing

Love the rubbery like finish on the outside, big buttons, easy Nokia menu

Great speakerphone

Bluetooth works great

Neat button for opening phone, really works great.

Edge works great and is plenty fast for me, glad it is not 3G, I don't think the battery would last an hour, which brings me to the CONS.

CONS:

Yep, you guessed it, batter life is bad. About the best you can hope for is charging the phone once a day. But guess that's the price you pay for the nice screen on this phone. I am lucky, coming from a 6102i I have a total of 3 batteries that will fit the 6131, so I just switch them out when needed.

This phone is definitely a keeper.

great phone...just wish i didnt choose t-mobile

Jul 12, 2007 by GrandHustle413

i got this phone for t-mobile after i switched from verizon. the phone is great but t-mobile just ruined it for me

PRO'S
-MP3 Player
-Big Screen
-Push Button Flip
-Full Bluetooth (i didn't have that with verizon)
-Holds over 1000 txt messages (way more than the 50 with my lg vx8300)
-IM Client
-Easy To Use (doesn't matter 2 me but some people do care)
-Big Buttons

CON'S
-CAN'T USE MP3'S AS RINGTONES (t-mobile's fault)
-HORRIBLE CALL QUALITY (t-mobile's fault)
-Takes forever to turn on
-Power and Camera Button right next to each other
-The "T-Mobile" logo under the Main Screen started to come off a day after i got it.
-Camera Sucks
-T-zones is slow

this is a great phone but i think i might just get the 200 bucks and cancel my contract with t-mobile and go back to verizon or cingular.

Sweet Phone

Best Nokia I have used and a steal for the price. Purchased the Nokia 6133 Oct 06, so I have had it long enough to know that the phone is the real deal and performs quite well. I would recommend it too anyone seeking a well balanced phone.

I LOVE THIS PHONE!!!

Jul 9, 2007 by Kiserai

This is a great all-around phone, and one that is worth the money whether you buy it unlocked or subsidized. I just recently got it (79.99 with a $30 rebate dropping the price to 49.99) and I have to say that it's a steal.

PROS:

-Both screens look great and are better than most flip phones, with the internal screen blowing my mind with its crispness and clarity.

-RF is great also. Like most Nokia phones, this thing tends to hold a call even when driving through a dead zone that shows 0 bars. I also tried it in my friends basement where my old Moto v505 wouldn't make calls and this worked fine and sounded very clear.

-Menu system rocks, especially coming off a Motorola phone. This is much more user friendly and deep, and gives a lot of options. I also love how quick and responsive it is.

-Awesome contacts list. Again, coming from an older Motorola, this is much better than what I'm used to and why I'm glad to be using a Nokia again.

-I also love the form factor. The button to flip the phone is a nice touch, and while another reviewer said the keyguard on a flip is ridiculous, I beg to differ. My phone has the keyguard activate automatically, but turns off automatically after I open the phone. I don't have to worry about accidentally taking pictures of my pocket this way, not that the phone button is really that easy to push in the first place. The hot-swappable microSD is also another nice touch.

CONS

-The speaker is only so-so. My old phone had much better sound quality for my mp3 ringtones, although this phone does get nice and loud. The speakerphone sounds decent, but when you're playing an mp3 ringtone don't expect too much clarity.

-Yeah, the battery life isn't awesome but with how beautiful the inside screen is don't expect it to be. Make sure that you calibrate the battery properly and you should be able to get a few days moderate use out of it though.

Bottom line: Best phone I've ever had, despite the flaws. Get it and you'll like it.

Best phone I've had!

Jun 28, 2007 by lindsaykaye04

This is the best phone I've had. My initial concern was the battery life, but after letting it discharge and then charge for a week, I've found that this phone actually has the best battery life of any cell phone I've had.

PROS:
Never have a problem with reception
Big bright screen
Good camera, for a phone
Ringtones -- I make my own and they sound great on this phone
Active Standby -- I can easily access most used items, my music, and I also have a personal note that reminds me of my stuff to do. I love having all of this on the main screen
Buttons are big and easy to text with
Phone memory holds A LOT -- at one point, I had nearly 200 texts on my phone
Memory card slot is great for my music collection
Tabbed menu works excellent
Push-to-open button is a great time waster when I'm bored :)

CONS:
The only con I've had so far is the fact that regular headphones will not fit in this phone.

I've only had the phone for a little over a month, so I'm sure some more cons will come up, but I love this phone so far!

This IS a GREAT phone!

Jun 26, 2007 by MrsKimmel

I'm sure from time to time that people buy a lemon. It happens. But this phone is a GREAT phone! The two main complaints I've seen is on battery life and the camera button.

As far as the battery goes, admit it - when you buy a new phone, you wanna play with it, right? You look at all the cool wallpapers because the picture quality of this phone is so wonderful, and you check out the ringtones, cause you GOTTA have a cool ringtone that stands out from all others, and you wanna play those new games just to see what they're about. ANY new phone requires that you fully let the battery charge prior to use, and completely discharge at least 3 times to get optimal battery life. I did this with my 6133 and have had NO problems with my battery conking out on me, learning from my mistake of toying with all the nifty features for at least the first week with my other phones and having the same problem with their batteries, no matter the make or model.

Where the camera button is concerned, the phone has an automatic keyguard feature that will prevent your phone from taking pictures in your purse or pocket, and the keys will unlock upon opening the clamshell. No extra work for the consumer, and no accidental photos of the lint in your pocket. And speaking of the camera, yes, no flash, but cellphones weren't meant to take professional quality photos. My sister has a razor, and I get some of the cruddiest photos from her. I get compliments on my pictures that I send to people: clear, crisp, and full of color.

Overall, you can't beat Nokia for call quality and reliability, and that is what a cellphone is really needed for. This phone has that without a doubt. Phones have gone from a means of emergency contact to toys for the consumer - THAT'S the problem with most of them. It DOES have the toys if that's what you're looking for, but if you want dependability, this is the phone to buy.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! And KUDOS to Nokia - LOVE this phone!

This may be a keeper.

While my fiancee is sampling my 6882, I'm really diging this phone. Although it's not the Smartphone that my 6682 is, it still rocks.

Pros.
Camera/Video. I like it! Nice & clear.
Loud ringers & music
Takes the formats of Music that I need it.
It kills my EnV, as far as I'm concerned, because of the un-neutered Bluetooth OBEX.
Good reception {for now, anyway}

Cons:
No accessories came for it. {Howerver, as a WSc warranty rep for at&t, I took this phone over a SLVR, even though the SLVR was fully loaded}.
No FM radio, unlike the 6133 {T-Mobile's Verizon}
Micro SD slot is under the case.

Not many cons to go over right now. If I like this, and she likes my 6682, then this'll be a keeper. You should get a 6126!
