had 3 of them

Hello guys, up for reviews today is a phone I once used for tracfone the motorola c139.

1st phone, it worked good, i was in the bathroom flushed the toilet and down went the phone, of course it was dead after this and it was gone to the sewer.

2nd phone. Had this phone with at&t service, instead of tracfone, I noticed a possible ui change, better service and the fact you could use this as prepaid or personal because AT&T does not put a sim lock on pay as you go sim cards.

The phone wasn't that good for texting but it was pretty good also for just the games, I got addicted to the one where there is the ball and it is kind of like brick attack, found on most keyocera phones, but i totally forget the name.

3rd phone, was tracfone i got it for my sister, it was washed in the hose, fell and got sprayed an a red dot to prove this. got the screen to change colors and call different people from her contacts, tried drying and then it stopped even working as even a phone, it would go to the tracfone turn on screen reset itself and do it again until you did something like press a button itd go off, or the battery would die.

it still mysteriously charged, so it was used for a moto charger, or planned to if i found a phone with the same battery and then all now i get was a lit up keypad. i took it apart, which voided the warranty, if any since wet. now all i got was nothing and figured i should replace it and recycle it which i did.

I had some issues with a verizon phone that I owned and, long story short, I had my service disconnected. So, instead of me being completely without a phone I decided to get a go phone from wal-mart. I wanted something cheap for now and I might get something better later. This motorola c139 is what I decided to try, and im actually quite pleased with it. The phone is VERY tough. I might have a small temper sometimes and just so happen to throw my phone, this one has taken 3 major throws and 2 drops onto concrete. If you want a phone just for making calls and texting, this phone is perfect. My problem is that I like to have a camera on my phone, also I love ringtones and my friends and I like to send multimedia messages to each other. None of those are supported on this phone. So I will be getting a new phone soon, but like I said, this is a great phone!

Unusable in roam on ATT/Cingular

I found that this phone, although 850Mhz capable, was not allowed to roam in ATT areas, becuase, as they said they had no tower in the area, and I was on a pre-paid plan. Another person in our party did connect on their All Over Plan.

Perfect Phone!

Sturdy, and well built. Only $20.00 on eBay, just swap out sim card.

what the hell?

what the hell is up with this phone! i hate it. other than the fact that the phone is cute and small....it was false advertisement. When i bought it, i was told that it was going to have downloadable ring tones but it didnt. it had a stupid melody composer that didnt even compose the songs right. the walpaper is stupid, it had a leg kicking a soccer ball, and flowers, and a blue background. there is no speakerphone, no good ringtones, you cant download anything, and its just very cheap. what the hell motorola? the only good thing was the battery charge and that the calls where very clear. this phone sucks though, it was seriosly made for my 3 year old brother. dont buy this phone...plus cingular sucks!
