I Liiike it!

May 22, 2007 by TankGirl

I haven't had too many cell phones but the v323i beats all my past Nokias

Pros
Good reception (Just got surewest)
Good camera
Like the lights
Functions are easy to understand
I love being able to assign the soft keys to my fav functions!
Ringtones that are standard are okay not great.
overall would recommend this phone!

Cons
so far the only thing I am having a prob with is it beeps every few seconds (I don't have messages or low battery so I don't know if this is a Motorola thing or a Surewest thing but it's driving me a little nuts)

Nice no frills phone

No complaints. Switched an unreliable LG 5300 to the Motorola 325 for my wife. I had the Motorola and it wasn't giving me any problems. If a lot of bells and whistles are what you want, maybe this phone isn't for you, but for someone like me, who only wants to make and receive calls and receive voicemail...good choice.

Just a bare phone

Verizon V325's will NOT sync with M/S XP Outlook calendar but will do the contact section straight out of the box. Only one user choice for shortcut key. As a bare phone okay.

Moto V323

I now have the E815 with VZW as well as the V323 with USCC. Can't decide which phone I like better. But NO other phones come close, IMO. As with all Motos, reception is unmatched.

Best phone I have owned Period

I owned a Audiovox 8900 for 2 years and liked it. However the ear piece was tinny and I had a hard time hearing! Not so with the v323! Its as good as my land line.I have USCellular as a carrier and the combination is great!
Positives:
Great reception
Fantastic ear piece. (Like my land line!)
Loud ring tones
The alarm is great
Calender works great
Speech dialing works good
One touch dialing works great
Phone is easy to use and learn!
Cons:
Could use a bigger battery. However it was good for one day of use. Had to charge daily.
I bought the extended battery.
In summery I would recommend this phone to anyone! As long as its with USCellular!

Great Phone

I got this phone with Verizon service. Best thing it that it GETS SIGNAL even at my house. No other phone or service works here. This one works even in the basement. ~ I love the pull out antenna. I believe it adds about one bar to the service. If a pull-out antenna gets you more service, every phone should have one.

PROS:
1 - Excelent reception everywhere.
2 - Ease of use in menus & buttons.
3 - Quality construction / ruberized sides
4 - One button Speaker Phone
5 - One button Voice Memo Record
6 - USB Power Cable
7 - Camera
8 - Voice Recognition
9 - GPS / Mapping

CONS:
1 - Ringer not quite loud enough
2 - The "Bars" display on the front is small.
3 - Main buttons are not very programmable.

Well, many people have raved about this phone. And I love it too. It looks good and just FEELS great in my hand. Like it's sturdy and not going to break. And the rubberized grip around it feels nice. And the blue flashing light when it rings is great.

Even though I love the phone, let me concentrate my comments here on the CONS: First is that the ringer could be louder. Phones are for making and receiving calls. The reception on this phone is great. But getting calls is half the battle, so a lounder ringer would be nice. ~ This is my second Motorola phone and one think I don't like is the SMALL RECEPTION BARS on the front. When I'm driving it's not as clear if I have 2 bars or 3. And that makes a difference as to if I'll place a call now or wait a while.

I also wish the main/soft buttons were more programmable. I was able to program the DOWN button to be something I want (Calendar) but wish I could program the LEFT and RIGHT and UP buttons to be things other than what they default to.

The Single Button for SPeaker-Phone ON/OFF is nice.

Motorola v323

I renewed my contract with Uscellular about two weeks ago and chose the Motorola v323 phone. I like the features of the phone and how it preformed. That is until the next day when I turned it off and found out by accident and by the reading of reviews that the this model has a problem. When I turned if off it would not turn back on. By reading some forums about this phone the only way to get it back on was to remove the battery and wait a few seconds reinstall the battery and turn it back on. I did that and everything was fine, for a few days. And then it quit again while I was trying to call my wife. I went to my local Uscellular store and got another one. It lasted about a week and did the same thing. So I went back to the store and told them that I wanted a a different phone. I chose the Lg ux5000, I have only had it for two days so I cannot really give a review on it as of yet. The sales person at the Uscellular store was real nice and said he was real sorry that I had a problem with the 2 Motorola v323's. So off I go again with another phone. The third in less that two weeks. Anyone reading this beware, the v323 does have a problem with the battery or something. I would advice not to get this phone.

Horrible Phone!

This phone is a joke! Horrible reception, cheaply made and poor speaker quality. This one is going back to Verzon for an LG.

Finally a keeper

Definately the best phone I've had (Nokia 5160, Moto v60, Nokia 6255, Kyocera KX16, now the Moto v323)...

PROS:
-Nice design
-Large, Responsive buttons (much better than the Razr)
- Nice camera (Not great but not horrible)
- Very good reception (Better when on speaker)
- Sharp, bright screen
- Long battery life

CONS:
- Not too durable (Dropping it will bang it up pretty good. I was able to find a paint marker at Wal Mart that matches the silver color perfectly though)
- Large antenna (Should be internal)
- The software (which you have to buy seperate and is very difficult to set up. I had to contact Moto support which fixed my problem)

Overall I am highly pleased with this phone, the only con was sitting up the "Motorola Phone Tools" software on my PC.
