Hate it

Dec 2, 2004 by diamonddrgnfly

It has a great display, but overall I hate it. When you type the keys there is a 5 second delay on key tone, the one-touch button on the side that changes the ringing style is a pain, you can't add more than one number per entry in phonebook, it creates another name, and you can't add addresses. It doesn't have a notepad where you can add notes, the calender has a horrible reminder set up, you can't add birthdays or important events easily.

Motorola V330

I got my V330 yesterday.I am nothing but happy.

PROS:
New Keypad
Camera Quaility
Video capture feature
Speakerphone(while phone is shut)
Call Quality
Hi-fi Ringers
Great Ringers
Menu Layout (the same as the V300)
Bluetooth

CONS:
Not that many wallpapers but thats why we have T-Zones

I would recommend this phone to anyone!

great phone for the money

Feb 5, 2005 by air_kj

Pros:

bluetooth, vga camera, screen, price

Cons:

speakerphone is horrible compared to my nokia, but it doesn't matter at all if you choose to buy the wireless motorola headset, which comes in very clear.

the address book isn't the most user friendly.

i first bought the motorola mpx220 and sent it back from numerous reasons. the nokia 6230 is a great option, but if you put your phone in your front pocket like i do then the screen will get scratched quickly.

Substance over looks

I recieved this phone from my insurance company when my V600 was stolen. At first I was upset b/c it wasnt as stylish. As I began to use the phone I began to really appreciate it, now find myself completely satisfied and even grateful. The phone is as reliable as I've ever had, it has all the features that made the V600 stand out, but they differ in that they actually work to perfection on the V551. It is not as flashy as its predecessor but if you purchased the phone for its performance and not to impress those around you, then you will be more than satisfied. You can actually record video and the volume is much louder than the V600. Due to the V600 being fazed out by some providers for this more reliable model, I figured my experience might benefit others w/ in the same situation.

Very Good Phone

This phone is very good phone. I love the video and camera...very clear and crisp for a cell phone. The sound quality, signal strength and phone itself is easy to use.
I love the quad band network of its international capabilities.

The only negative I have with this phone is the battery life isn't long. Its because of the many features of this phone (using the video & camera WILL definitely eat up the battery). The phonebook could be better, its ok.

I love this phone overall, can't go wrong!

Don't get this phone!!!

This is my first Motorola phone and it will be my last. The menu is NOT user friendly like the Samsung and Nokia. Motorola has a slow reaction and takes longer to do everything. I had wanted a speaker phone, but this one is so bad I cant ever use. If the phone is dead and you plug it in to charge you have to wait several minutes before you can power it back on. My next phone will definitely be a Samsung again.

where is the v551 ??

Dec 12, 2005 by cvgsucks

Well I think you would be better off with a V551 than the V557. The reception on this phone is lacking from the first moto in this series. Not a upgrade but instead a down grade.

I had the v330 w/ tmobile and i thought tmobile was horrible- i had 1 bar in my house until i put my sim card in an old samsung phone that i once had w/ tmobile and 5 bars. so i definitely don't recommend this .
