Solid, German and uhh... solid!

Nov 20, 2004 by ffourtwenty

Got this one to go along on treks and climbs and camping, seemed a good deal at $300 - it is. First, this phone is solid as a rock! Drop, throw, toss, drop, doesn't faze it. Like an armoured SX1 if you ask me. If you want to bike or hike and still have your phone (with coverage - of course) get this one. Bit heavy and slow menus, but otherwise a real winner. P.S. It IS water resistant, dropped in snow for over an hour and was soaked. Dried, works perfectly still :) GET ONE!

Excellent, the best phone ever !!

Excellent phone, I've had motorola, nokia and i just prefer Siemens as the best choice for a phone, at least with these last models. I used to be at pools and this phone is unstoppable, even if you let it fall for a few moment.

Pros.
-Awesome reception even in areas not reached by other phones
-Excellent camera
-Charge in almost one hour and a half
-Resists almost everything
-Hardest and toughest phone ever known
-Big and awesome display (more than moto V3)

Cons.
-No flashlight for night photos
-No bluetooth
-Loudspeaker not so clear
-No longer available in most companies

If you could get it, don't think it so much

Super Phone

This is an awsome phone. If you are an outdoor enthusiast and you can get your hands on one buy with confidence. The design is great and it has little rubber caps to cover the openings which makes it water and dust proof. It really keeps the camera lens protected from everyday bumps and knocks too. The battery compartment has a rubber seal and it locks closed. The reception on this phone is really really good. It is the only phone I know of that gets reception in a Target store. This says something because none of my friends phones can do that! Something about the building I guess but not for this phone. The camera is pretty good and if you want a flash you can buy one to attach to this phone. The video camera is so-so but most phone video is not that great anyway so the fact that it has it makes it fun. Make sure if you get one that the seller includes a USA adapter with the charger. Mine is a European plug but I did get the adapter. If you want a phone that goes from the office to the outdoors, this is the one to get.

Really tough and cute phone

For a cell phone it is really tough and cute phone.Nice design. it just took a few hours for me to setup profiles.I transfered my 300 contacts via infrared. Agenda is usefull.I don't think bluetooth is very necessary for this phone. Voice recording is powerful but where is it in the manual.Only thing I didn't like voice recording is not possible during the call.
it not mentioned in the booklet.if anyone find it out please let me know.
