CONS
BATTERY LIFE***

*** - BATTERY LIFE DOES LAST ME THE WHOLE DAY WITH NORMAL USE EXAMPLE: CHECKING NEW, FB, INSTAGRAM, ANSWERING CALLS, TEXTING, GPS ON.

BUT IF IM DOING THAT PLUS PLAYING MUSIC FOR 2 HOUR(WHICH I DO) THE BATTERY WILL NEED TO BE CHARGED BY 8PM.

HUGE PLUS: FAST CHARGER, AND REMOVABLE BATTERY.

GREAT PHONE!!!!

Note Edge Review

Dec 14, 2014 by Ladams415

I do not do reviews to often but I felt like I should for this one since some people are so iffy about the design of the phone. First let me say that before getting this phone I was deciding between this, the nexus 6, and iphone 6 plus. I am not biased when it comes to phones and I have previously owned an iphone 4s and iphone 5. The Iphone 6 plus was eliminated for me due to the fact that I have an iphone 6 as a work phone and I really just don't like it so apple products or not for me personally. I settled on the edge after deciding that samsung makes better use of the screen real estate with the ability to have multiple apps open at the same time as well as the added s-pen functionality. With that said I will mainly address the edge screen first. Some may see it as gimmicky but I personally found some use for it. I use for my current stock info as well as sports scores and to display my incoming messages. I know that is not a whole lot of use but it is good enough for me for now. I have yet to have an accidental tap on the edge screen so it seems like samsung has done a pretty good job with the phones ability to distinguish an actual tap over a graze from your palm. The touchwiz interface isn't that bad in my opinion but it does show a slight lag here and there depending on what you are doing. It is very minimal lag so nowhere near a deal breaker for me. the battery life could be a little better but that was a sacrifice made for the edge screen however, with moderate usage you could easily get through a whole day or more and heavy usage isn't that bad either. The rapid charging is great and an excellent way to make up for the battery life. All in all I'd recommend this phone to anyone but it will be extremely difficult to find. I went through 5 stores before finding one, and the one I got was the last one at the store I got it from. If you are not to impressed with the edge screen then go for the note 4.

Left the Iphone and the grip of Apple/itunes. Had 4 prior Iphone and was losing faith after each generation. This Note Edge from Samsung is light years ahead of my Iphone! Sold my Iphone 6 on Ebay after only one week using the edge. Tremendous display and speed. Use many apps from my itunes world and they all work faster with stunning graphics! Anyone thinking of making the switch, don't hesitate! Samsung has made an outstanding product.

Bad to the Bone

Well everyone knows it has the fastest processor, best graffics, best resolution & the most unique features (ie Edge) works flawlessly & doesn't take very long @ all to get use too, coming from a Note 3. The new operating system is very unique & updated UI is better than ever. Also one can activate the 180° screen reversal, so the Edge will b on left side for lefties, kool.
Even with USB 2.0, charging is almost as fast as my Note 3, with USB 3 charging. Mainly for me anyway, it's taking a little while to decide where to put what. I've always use folders to group things together, ie, phone, finance, trucks, game apps etc. Now with the Edge apps, not as many folders are required. Anyway for $100 diff, I would not hesitate to get Note Edge, which I didn't & am really impressed with unit. Don't hesitate very long, supplies are limited & they WILL NOT b avail after Dec. 31st.
Thx,
FreddieBoy
