Very Disappointed!

Mar 23, 2004 by ffreedom01

My wife and I purchased the RL7300 a few days ago and have been VERY disappointed with the performance of the phone.

Pros:
Great display...visible even in bright sun

Rubber grips on sides of phone are a good idea.

Cons:
Sound quality is the worst I have ever experienced. Echo and sound cutting in and out makes conversation very difficult.

Speaker-phone appears to be half-duplex. If there is ANY noise at all near the phone, the sound cuts out and you wind up missing large parts of the conversation. Unusable in all but the most quiet environments. Sanyo could take a lesson from LG or Motorola on how to design an effective speaker-phone.

I am returning them ASAP!!!!!

SCP7300

I keep my phones forever but wanted something new with more stuff on it. I had a TP2100 and switched to this SCP7300. It didn't have games like I was expecting which isn't too big of a deal because I don't play them all that often. But it drops a LOT of my calls where my old phone didn't. It says I have a full signal but then people will say they can't hear me and beep beep beep signal faded call was lost. I haven't had a problem with the sound, it sounds okay, I like to be able to download ringers which I couldn't do with the old phone because it was "too old" (which means maybe 3 or 4 years old). Other than not being able to talk on it in some areas I like it but that is SO annoying.
