Awesome cell phone

Feb 26, 2007 by Pat26

I've had quite a few phones, but this one is by far the most reliable I've had.
I never had a lost call, the lithium battery is excellent and when most of my friends don't have any reception, I still have a digital signal! How about that!

I like the 300 contact you can store. You can put a picture for each of those contacts with a different ring tone. When your phone rings, you know who is calling without having to look at the phone.

The camera is great, but mostly for daytime use, or ensure you got lots of light at night as the flash is not quite strong, but this is minor and I've used my cell at parties and was able to quickly forward the pics to other friends to get them to drop by the party. LOL!

Also, I'm quite clumsy and I've dropped this phone at least 25 times on the pavement and its fine, which would make the best phone for anyone who play rough.

Text messaging is lightning fast with the T9 function, perfect for teens!

Don't hesitate and buy this one!

POS But by the grace of God still workds!

This phone was free with a new contract, and i see why, it is nothing special! Here is my pros and cons

pros- camera with flash and zoom
large keys for texting
good batttery life
good ringtones

cons
camera is junk
if you drop the phone a few times the front screen stops working
cheep cheapo looking keys and phone
too fat
small screen
annoying start up tone
takes 4eva to charge

In the end i accidently washed this phone and it still works it just takes an hour for the screen to turn on, so i decided to get the nokia 6255 and i am way happier!

NEVER AN AUDIOVOX AGAIN!

First Color Phone

Jan 21, 2007 by MonkeyQuyn

As stated in the title, this was indeed my first camera phone. I bought this phone because I grew tired of my Sam sung, and since my contract wasn't out for another year, I decided to go ahead and purchase this phone at full price.

Pros
- Camera
- Decent Sound
- Easy access functions

Cons -
- Back lighting grew very hot after an extended amount of talking!! OW!
- Camera wasn't that great
- No speaker phone
- No Video

It was nice as my first camera phone, but I wasn't all that impressed, and later frustrated when better quality camera phones were on the shelves, and... CHEAPER!!!
--- That's all folks!!

Better than no phone I guess?

I have had my 8910 for less than a year and i already want to get rid of it. The pro's on this phone include the Blue outside and the fact that it has a camera even if it is crappy. Now there are a lot of cons to list: Some of the cons i see of the bad is the size of the antenna. I am on Sasktel In Saskatoon which has very good service quality. The audiovox phone is perfect for you if you like missing calls, dropped calls and such low service bars that it switches to analog. The keypad is cheap rubber and the yellow back-light is ugly. The camera sucks but and the ringer quality is BAD!! The battery gets warm to hot when talking and doesn't hold a charge very long. One other con is that the phone freezes up once in a while when taking pictures. One good thing is the txt messaging. Other than that i would not wish an 8910 upon anyone.

Take the god with the bad

There are some good things and bad things about this phone. The one thing that stands out to me about this phone is the beating that it can take. I work in the heating buisness and I have dropped this phone into a hot boiler abot 3 times and nothing happened to it and everything still works. I have jumped in 2 pools and it still works, and it also went through the washer and drier and it also still works, and the only thing that has happened to it is the screen has cracked. Overall this is a great work phone.

Pros
1)Camera
2)Easy to use
3)VERY duarable
4)Not very costly
5)Many good tones and such to chose from

Cons
1)VERY shorty battery life
2)Flash on the camera is useless
3)Could have updated the picture quality of the pictures
4)Charges slowly
5)Screen is tough to see at times.

alright phone

I work for Alltel and I personally used this phone in sioux falls, sd this phone is a decent low priced camera phone, but lacks reception features that I come to depend on in the rural areas of the state.

Reception - I give this phone a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10, frequent dropped calls is a big hassle in the rural areas of the state.

Battery Life - In the 2 weeks that I had this phone, Battery lasted 2 days which is decent because I use my phone a LOT as in 13,000 min a month. I give it a 5

Camera - Decent camera, no video recording avail. which is OK for people that just want a phone, that has a camera for quick shots. pictures are grainy, and low light pictures are far from possible or legible. I give this feature a 3.

keypad works well for texting, and Earpiece is a little difficult to hear in noisy environments. but all in all it is a good phone if you could get it for free which my store sells at this price.

U DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TILL YOU GET RID OF IT!!!

This was the first phone i ever had with alltel service and i just thought it was okay till i saw how crappy some other phones were.I now have the kyocra strobe and i hate it!!!This is a freakin awsome basic phone for talking and texting!

OK, so the phone is "old" now, discontinued everywhere, but hey, if you're still interested in it, get it on ebay, it's great! I've had it for 2-3 years now, and am finally forcing myself to move on and get something a bit slimmer since i got water damage on my small battery and bought a big one, making the phone extremely fat and bulky (don't do that)

Pros: (where to begin...)
Strong hinge on the..lid? (out of all the things i broke being as graceful as i am, this was not one!)
Great keypad, each key nicely spaced so you don't push the wrong one. (flaw in today's phone)
Large photo gallery capacity, up to 100 photos!
Ringer ID
Screen saver
Changeable banner with color options
Sub LCD is nice and big.
Multiple number for contacts.
Multiple addresses for a text message (up to 10!)
The wheel in the middle is absolutely perfect to easily access stuff.
Nice menu!
World Clock, stop watch, alarm clock, and calendar, all work great.
Up to 20 programmable speed-dials
Incredibly Easy to use all around!!

Cons:
-Erasing the inbox and outbox it does weird stuff, such as if you have 50 in the inbox, you can either select "erase old inbox" or "erase entire inbox" if you select erase entire inbox, it'll say, no messages. If you select old inbox, however, it deletes the entire inbox. Same for the outbox.

If you have any questions about this phone, feel free to ask me, although I am going to update to the LG AX5000 - has a lot like this phone...which I love!

Not the best...

Ok, this is my first phone, its alright. well it does have a cam w/flash (the flash doesn't light anything unless u get real close). The cams pics are crappy unless u use it in 320x240 or AZT has a good sized outer display which you can take pics with (with the phone closed). But its in monochrome black and white instead of color and its legendary for going out if u drop it (mine hasnt yet). It also has a green/red light that is either color when takin pics, red when text messages are incoming and when an alarm goes off.I have alltel and they have great reception, but i've heard that this phone isn't very great with alltel, its reception isn't the best because sometimes ill have reception and my mom and dad( who have different phones) have full reception, i guess its true. But the phones receptions is very good though (better than some ppl i see with verizon) my friend in class sits right by me and has like 2 bars and ill have full reception. The keypad has a nice layout but its rubber and has a cheap looking greenish yellow backlight for the keys which is UGLY! There is no external speaker so its really low when calls are coming in. The phones call sound quality is good however. The antenna kinds goes back instead of straight up, so it gives kind of an ugly look from the side and its antenna is pull out (in plastic) so its real flimsy and the whole thing gets dirty easily. The main LCD screen has an ok look some things look a little cheap. You can also store 300 contacts. The phone comes with bad ringtones and ugly wall papers that tell time and one with a flower by the river with sparkles coming out of it (ur better off usin a pic as the WP, Like me). Its memory isn't all that great: ONLY 10 VOICE MEMOS THAT GO FOR 60 SECONDS! But the phones is actually really nice, navy blue and silver with chrome lining around the camera flash and side keys (up, down, camera). The phones is really durable, compact, light, small and nice.the phones is older so its not the best

Great Phone That Does What It Should

Nov 4, 2006 by twirlgirl838

Pros:
-nice look
-bright screen
-nice graphics, easy menu
-signal strength=great
-camera has flash
-voice memos
-easy to get around
-easy to store/get to contacts
-easyedge easy to access
-cool picture-taking on outer screen (black and white though)*
-speaker phone is good
-clear call quality

Cons:
-big compared to other phones on the market
-antenna is very thin and unstable
-camera not the greatest quality, but that's to be expected
-ringtones suck, everything is really weird
-NO GAMES
-cannot set voice memos as ringer :-(
-*LCD screen isn't color, so when you use the outside screen to take pics it can be hard to see
-yellow light up keypad isn't that attractive

Overall, this is a great phone, I'm just being nitpicky. It does what a phone is supposed to do, and is good quality. However, if you are looking for a fancy camera phone, go for the Razr, but the Audiovox is a great one for anyone who doesn't really need gimmicky stuff. Also, it's great for teens (like myself), who are usually pretty hard on their phones :-)
