A good verizon phone

Oct 19, 2004 by Guesswho22

When i received my 8910, i was very anxious. The camra as opposed to the 8900 was wonderful.clear pictures, a flash and zoom! The battery is descent but could be better. Also the speakerphone is a little low, but it'll do.

Pros:
-Camra- zoom and flash
-speakerphone
-downloadable aol instand mesenger!
-downloadable games and ringtones
-very light
-durable... doesnt seem like it is going to break anytime soon
-Reception is good- works with no bars

Cons:

-Some dropped calls
-not tri-mode, for verizon anyway
-the phone sometimes resets itself , not usually
- battery could be better

I Love This PhONe!

this fone is so good. it has all the essentials! i am coming from a sanyo scp-8100 with a plan and i was getting tired of overage charges from them so i went to virgin mobile and got the Flasher V7 and this fone is off the hook. The camera is sooooooo good and since its VGA i can save it at 3 resolutions. The 4x zoom works so good too! the flash is ok but you have to get up close for it. Since its compatable with VirginXL, i can download games wallpapers, screensavers, and ringotnes. Audiovox can definately make a fone right because every feature on the Flasher is so much better than that of the 8100 and i reccomend this fone to people with verizon, and with Virgin Mobile. The Digi Tones are so good quality (real music) and the screen is awesome. The speakerphone is exceptionally loud too. And i love the Blue color!

Ok

I bought this phone from Virgin Mobile in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Pros:
Great placement and feel of buttons.
Easy to hold in my hand and not too heavy.
Ringtones are good, but some static.
The menu is a great and easy to figure out.
Good Battery
Speakerphone is OK.

Cons:
Camera needs big improvement.
Aggravating Antenna.
Can't remove time/date from the screen.
External display is hard to read.
The VXL internet part is constantly losing connection.

Also...I dropped my phone and the external display cracked. The whole display will eventually shatter! Not good for people who are used to sturdy phones.

OK phone overall but Virgin Mobile's rates are too expensive. I'm switching to T-Mobile soon. Prepaid Virgin Mobile is not a good idea.

solid improvement

This phone is a great improvement over the old 8900. The screen, battery and camera have all been improved. Bluetooth would make this phone perfect but you can't have it all in a phone that you can get for 40 bucks.

Worst Phone I Ever Had!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jan 7, 2006 by g_patrick15

I have had this phone since June 24, 05 and from day 1 i decided i could have done better. But i've decided to upgrade my phone to the Nokia 6255i, which is wayyyyyyy better. My carrier is MetroPcs. I'll start with the pros
Pros: Good internal speaker. Intuitive. Easy to learn menus. Good design

Cons: Weak camera!!! Pictures appear like a red light is on. Poor signal strength, one bar maximum in my own house. Weakest battery life I've Ever Used!!! Talk 20 minutes without the charger and it'll cut right off. Damages easily (not really that hard on my phones but this one looks bad)Bad picture quality (blurry) Many many many more.........

Please be advised DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!! It sucks and not worth the price unless free

surprisingly very good!!! (Verizon Wireless)

PROS: The camera is very good for what you pay for it, although it's not the best in dark settings. Real Tones (ringtones that are clips of a song) are very real in fact, and cost only around $2 each, depending on how you buy them off of Get it Now. I love the text messaging, because it's very easy to use. Picture messaging is a breeze. The sound quality seems very good, as well as the reception.

CONS: The camera doesn't work very well in dark settings, even with the flash. Ringtones are a bit expensive. There isn't an underscore when texting or entering email addresses.

Great camera phone with a ton of features

Feb 7, 2005 by ifiwereafish

This is a great choice for anyone looking for a camera phone and wanting to save money. Most other camera phones required me to get a 2-year contract in order to make them affordable, whereas this phone has NO contract with Virgin Mobile and is on a pay-as-you-go rate. The phone itself has great features including a very good quality camera phone with decent picture storage, easy to navigate buttons, cool interface, ability to download ringtones/games and more. It's also a very sleek phone! In the past few weeks since I switched from my old phone, I've had numerous people coveting my flasher!
