Amazing little device

Oct 30, 2013 by Dgardner1988

Pros:
4.2.2 android OS (Huge plus for smaller phone)
Expandable SD slot - up to 64gb card tested on mine personally and works.
(NE Ohio - At&t) Call quality is perfectly fine.
Smooth performance for lower end hardware.

Cons:
Battery life isn't the greatest (I get a day's use out of it with minimal use. up at 8:00am, dead by 10:00pm)
Onboard Storage usable is only 5gb
Screen size smaller than the Samsung Express (GoPhone) which is higher powered than this device as well.
None of the Motion features that the S4 has (4.2.2 should have this)

Overall, when I hold / use this device, it feels like I'm holding a mini-S4, literally. The buttons are identical, everything just works. However, the missing features of this phone provide a huge questions as to why they'd discontinue the Express and make this one. It's smaller, lower powered, and less feature packed than the Express. It's redeeming quality is that it runs the 4.2.2 software out of the box, which is a huge improvement over the 4.1.2 OS.
I love how the games play on this device over other dual core 1.2ghz models. They're smooth, some more hardcore games don't work quite up to par on the S3 and S4, but hey, it's not really designed to do it. it's a budgeters phone that wants most of the Samsung namebrand stuff such as Kies, s Voice, and other smaller features not otherwise noted. Overall - Great device, I ppaid a buck for it, and it's lasted me great times already.

Loving the S3 Mini!

Nov 6, 2013 by jenranders

I've had this phone for just over a month (upgraded from a Galaxy S2). My husband has the S4 and it is much bigger than I prefer. This phone looks just like a mini S4.

Pros:
-SIZE (fits in pocket, pursue compartments)
-Battery life
-Price

I love the battery life. Consistently still have 60-70% left when I plug it in at bedtime. I've been able to get 2+ days use with this phone without charging (using it regularly for apps, most of the time on wifi, but only a few hours of talk-time).

Love the 4.2.2 OS, camera, video, volume, sound quality. Have had zero issues/complaints so far.
