One of the best.

Dec 20, 2004 by Icannotbe4saken

I've been using motorola phones for about 3 years, i switched from the older Nokia phones. I used to have a Motorola T722i and then i recently upgraded about a month ago to V300, and i am overwhelmed with how much better it is.

PROS: Reception is great, picture is sharp, sound is clear, camera is very clear (and it's ATTACHED!), it has a speaker phone, it feels very sturdy and it doesn't feel cheap (like the 722).

CONS: those blasted little side buttons that change it from ring to vibe to silent or whatever in my pocket. especially when i'm at work, eep! The speaker phone, i can't seem to find a volume that i like. if it's all the way up, it's muffled, if it's down a bit, it's too quiet.. blah. Also, i wish i could get rid of the pictures that came with the phone.. i don't use those for anything, that's why i have a camera!

those 3 things could have pushed the phone up the point to make it.. well not a perfect phone, but as close as i'd say anyone has gotten since i've been using phones. It's a huge step over the t722 though, and i wouldn't trade it in unless i had to.

Great Phone So Far

Dec 19, 2004 by stylnprfyl

I don't know why the bashing of this phone occurs. I have had this phone for the past two weeks and I have not had a problem with it yet. The reception is great, and I love the fact that it supports MP3 ringtones. Plus that fact, that I am able to download my own ringtones that I have made makes it that much sweeter. My brother owned it before me and he never had a problem, so I bit the bullet and got one, and it has been great thus far. The V300 is all right by my account.

WOST PHONE ME AND MY BOYFRIEND HAVE OWNED

Dec 8, 2004 by 052481

I only gave the phone a 1 because of MP3 Ringtones.

Me and my boyfriend puchased 2 of these phones and have send each back now a total of THREE TIMES EACH IN TWO MONTHS!! My phones had these problems:

1st Original.) Phone Would Shut Off And Buzz During A Call.

2nd.) #4 Key Would Not Work. Phone Would Not Charge.

3.) Speaker on both outside and inside arrived DEAD!!!

My Boyfriends:

1st.) Screen would turn bright white and shut off in calls

2nd.) Speaker Phone would say "NOT AVALIBLE" when you would press the key to go into speaker phone and then disconnect the call.

3.) Outside LCD would not work and would just stay that annoying blue color.

This is a bad phone, I think the only good feature (when the phone is actually on) is the MP3 ringtones.

NOTE: T-mobile has adopted a policy, if you do 2 warentee exchanges in 3 months, they let you select a different phone. We selected the E315. Waiting to get it.

MOTOROLA TAKE A HINT WHY DON'T YOU, GET OUT OF THE PHONE INDUSTRY, YOU HAVE NEVER MADE A GOOD PHONE WITH ANY GOOD FETURES.

motorola v 300

so the v300... did the designers at motorola actually test this phone. i've had this phone for about four months and hate it. at first i was sceptical but felt i should give it time. well my time has been wasted. not only does the phone not vibrate and ring at the same time...you can't hear it when it does ring. another thing...how many people can honestly say they haven't changed the ring styles by accident, (because the buttons are on the side of the phone and always active). i've missed so many calls because of this. when i first got the phone i found it quite difficult to get used to and feel that motorola concentrated on the bells and whistles and not on being user friendly. recently my display screen on the front side went all scambled. i've gone back to my old panasonic tx220 which is a solid phone and is a simple phone to used and excels in its performance. thanks for nothing motorola.

I love this phone soo much. I also got an upgrade for this phone from private people. I'll talk about after the PROS and CONS.

(These are all stock features)
PROS:
- Tri-Band
- Very good reseption (i get full reseption from almost every basement I go to)
- Good camera quality and it takes good 640x480 pics.
- MP3 ringtones
- Speakerphone
- External display is blue and very easy to read cuz its inversed
- Very good screen quality
- Battery life is ok
- Looks great (i changed the faceplate to black too)

CONS:

(none that i can think of)

As I said before, I got an upgrade for this phone from private people. So my phone is even better. It now has QUAD-BAND,video play-back, and better camera quality. It basically the same as the V600 now without the bluetooth. I'm never going to sell this phone EVER! =) Buy this phone!!

you read alot of things on this phone, most people say its solid, well it is, its sturdy as hell, not like other flimsy flip phones. it holds alot of memory, supports mp3 ringtones. theres alot of faceplates out there for it. games rintyones, you wont have a problem, has a great camerAA, NOT A MEGAPIXEl , but better than expected. screen is crisp, you cant be disapointed , and if you are disapointed your a freak.

Best Phone Ever

Nov 11, 2004 by galigmus

I am more then impressed by this specific phone. I am in love with it. I am more happy with this particular device then I have been with any phone I have ever purchased. I have never used a phone that came at this price that offered me as much as phones that cost hundreds more. I think that if anyone would be out looking for a phone, the hand of god should ultimately lead them towards this device. I am so satisfied with it I would defend its honor with my own life. No product at this product's price can offer the same options as this one. Hands down, the best phone ever.

A Phone Not Yet Matured

The Motorola v300 is a great phone for youth phone users, it has a great style to it and is very hip. Its more notable features include a large bright color screen, an easy to read external LCD, a solid set of features and a camera.

However it has several short comings, most of which could be attributed to software. These include the inability for the v300 to play a ringtone and vibrate at the same time, extremely long charge cycles, slow overall operation, extremely limited customization without system level edit, and overall buggy firmware. It would have also been impressive to see Mototola also include bluetooth in the v300.

Unacceptable although, especially in todays modern digital world, is Motorola's continuing stance against firmware upgrades on their phones.

Overall, the Motorola v300 is a great phone for younger users who feel the need to keep with trends, and don't mind missing out on features other may miss.

Excellent (low cost!) Phone

Nov 1, 2004 by smc

For the price and features, this phone is one of the best on the market.

It really has it all -- an amazing feature list for a phone of this cost (ie. free with contract!): Speaker Phone, Digital Camera, 5MB user memory, excellent display. Plus voice quality and reception are good.

If you're looking for a great new phone, without shelling out much cash this is the phone for you. Got extra cash burning a hole in your pocket, get the Razr V3 instead!

good but far from great

when i first got this phone it was nothing but coolness but after awhile the screen gets scratched up by the keys the t-zones on the phone got screwed up on me 3 times! but thank you to t-mobile who sent me a new phone! the phone is a little big the outer display is just blah. nothing special the camera pictures are good if your talking a picture of something very still. this is a good phone from Motorola but i have to say not it's best.
