Better than 722 but nowhere close to where it needs to be

Mar 10, 2004 by tbigdog123

I have this phone through T-Mobile in Dallas, Texas, and have had nothing but problems with it. I have had to get it swapped out three times within the last month and a half i have had this phone. The first time the battery got shot. The phone wouldn't turn on after using it for a week. After thorough investigation by the T-Mobile store they did realize, the problem was that the battery was defective and not me charging the battery improperly. The next replacement the phone worked fine but then the microphone stopped working so the other party could not hear a word of what i was saying. This phone has been swapped out three times and doesn't look like it is going to stand up. IT has definitely many features but i am scared to say it is really better than the 722. If u decide to buy one goodluck...

Great Phone for the Value

I know you are all wanting to know why a 5 rating. Las Vegas Nevada is bad for phones Finally a phone with a Strong signal anywhere you go in this city. Easy to use, T-Mobil and Motorola V300 may have made a perfect match. Sprint is allways dropping calls. No Drop calls so far. With T-Mobil. I am a Realtor here and the picture taken with the phone are clear and easy to send, In Fact everything about this phone is easy to use. Why waist your time shopping for a better phone. you have found one here. Drop Sprint, ATT and others go to T-Mobil get this Phone and be ready to enjoy a true Cell Phone Call without worring about the call dropping or If their is a signal.

WOW, Flawless...

...except for the lack of Bluetooth, but we'll let that go.

This phone is great, scratch resistent, 9 lines on the screen to read (much more than my Samsung E715) and a great camera. I have owned a lot of phones and this, by far works GREAT. I am looking forward to seeing the V600, which shrinks the size and adds Bluetooth. T-Mobile should be proud of this phone, good signal strength on what I think is the BEST wireless carrier.

Really good phone but..girly.

I really love the phone I have had it since Thursdy the 7th of Jan. The camera is great. It's even better than my 2.1 mp. The Ringtones are awsome!!! But its kind of hard to hear if your phone is ringing in a restaurant etc.. It took me over a month to get this phone, if you dont know where to get the phone just go to Tmobile.

The cons: Low ringer and low speaker volume ,doesn't have flash,The phone is kind of girly!!!,takes a while for caller Id picture to pop up, And looks fragile.

The pros: Good color for cover, excellent resolution, cool ringtones and features, gets lots of attention, good camera and cool features.

Ed. note: fixed major typo

Very poor quality phone.

I've had this phone for six months, and have had so much trouble with it. I've exchanged this model twice; the first replacement TMobile sent me was even worse than the one I had, the keypad didn't work at all, and the second replacement they sent was just as bad as my original phone. The software is faulty; the screen will just freeze in the middle of a call, and I have to take the battery out to reset it. I get terrible reception, especially at home, it drops calls all the time and has poor sound quality - and my boyfriend has TMobile, too, with a different phone, and gets perfect reception at our house. Sometimes the ringtone will just change out of nowhere, and revert to the t-mobile jingle. Now the phone isn't holding it's charge properly, I'll charge it overnight and a couple hours into the next morning it's at half-charged status.

I've spoken with multiple wireless sales reps, and all of them are sick and tired of having to sell this phone. It gives them so much extra work because of all the irate customers and returns/exchanges they have to do on it. But a couple have said there's pressure to sell the phone, to get rid of stock, so if some salesperson is trying really hard to sell you this phone, be careful. TMobile is giving them away with a 2 for 1 deal right now for new customers... all I have to say is, there's a reason they're trying to get rid of them - since they've gotten such poor reviews and had to be recalled, no one is interested in buying one.

The Best so far

This phone does more than I expected for the price sold in retail stores

Great Phone!!!

I initially ordered Samsung E715 and am not quite satisfied with it, so I decided to switch to Motorola brand which I never had before and purchased V300. I'll tell you, this phone is the best phone I've ever had. I went through many phone brands, such as Nokia, Samsung, Ericsson, Sanyo (when being a Sprint member), and none of those phones can win over Motorola V300. I totally changed my opinion about Motorola phones, I'm simply amazed! Good job, Motorola!

I CAN'T STOP SAYING "WOW"

I'm more and more convinced that Motorola phones are the top level phones. V300 is an ideal phone for me, it has everything I need. Everything is almost perfect about this phone, I can't think about any CONs right now, I'm so happy to own V300. A friend of mine bought me this phone as a gift for my birthday. That's just awesome!!! Brief review:

Camera takes very good pictures (+zooming is perfect)
Screen color is so clear and crisp that I have no more words to say
Phone color is cool to me becuase I'm tired of regular hackneyed silver
Everything else is SUPER!

I wish this phone had a bluetooth but who cares, I can live without it. One more thing, the speakerphone could've been able to work when the phone is closed. Other than that, IT'S A SUPER COOL PHONE! WOW!

Get it now!

Motorola V300

This phone is the same old story. I work in the mobile phone field and motorola cannot win me over. The software is almost the same as the t720. The battery life on the V300 is horrible. All around, your better of with anything else other than Motorola... they can't get their act together.

After the 5th One

I bought this phone because I liked the looks and features it came with. It was also free on tmobile's website. So I bought it and had it for about a week when it stopped getting signal, the second the outside display went out, the third whenever you pushed the number 7 on the keypad it would register a 5, 6 a 4 and so on, and the fourth was DOA, so finally I'm on my 5th motorola v300 so far it has worked okay, but still doesn't get as good of signal as my Samsung E715. If I had my choice between the samsung 715 and the motorola v300. I would choose the Samsung everytime it has been a great phone, great features and durability, great clarity and signal strength.
