Best phone ever had next to the Iphone

Jul 19, 2012 by orlavin

I have had the Nokia Lumia 710 for over a month now and I can honestly say I really and truly appreciate a Windows Phone. This phone is AMAZING in all it does.

First of all, I have yet to find a phone other than the Iphone to have such a superior predictive texting and with such ease, no lags or freezes. Well, well, to my surprise, the Nokia Lumia 710 is it!!! My wife has the Iphone 4 and let me tell you, the Lumia is much better in many aspects. For one, 4G speeds and 1.4Ghz speed ... come on! Its way faster than the iphone. Also the camera is awesome. Very clear and auto focus helps take clear pics. The flash is great too. The speaker is so loud I'm amazed.

THE BEST THING about this phone is Nokia turn by turn GPS maps. Its free, pre-installed and works like a charm. I never used GPS, but since this phone, I use it now every where I go and it has saved me when taking trips.

The battery will last me through my day. I take it off the charger at 5am and with moderate to heavy use, it will last me until 8-9pm, not bad!!!

Absolute no freezing, no lag, no drags, very responsive. Screen is responsive and processor is fast.

Only negative con: Windows is fairly new and does not have all the apps that the iphone/android would have, but it has most of all the apps I really need on a daily basis. And for those apps I dont find, I can always find on the website and "pin to start" a link of the site as favorites for a 1-touch access. Another amazing option to overcome the negative con.
Also, I used Pandora Radio alot and loved it. The windows phone uses Slacker Radio. Its fine, still prefer Pandora.

Other than that, this phone is a keeper. I have NEVER kept a phone longer than 3 months in my life. I have had EVERY phone you can imagine, This phone is SUPERIOR from any phone I had ever used!!!

Nice Phone

I have used Iphone 4S on AT&T, Galaxy Nexus on Verizon, both are top phones in their universe. Goggle's new privacy policy had me looking for something different. Tmobile has good service in my area, so I thought I would try this phone.

PROS
1. Speaker and ear piece one of the loudest I have used. I have turn down the volume at times.
2. I have had the phone for 2 weeks not one freeze, or other problem that required a battery pull or restart.
3. Screen is great, Specifications don't tell the story, you have to see it. Ya its small compared to GNX and others, but even those 4.5 to 5 inch screens look small next to my Ipad.
3. Battery life is better than My Nexus, worse than my Iphone 4s.
4. Construction is very good, don't know what screen material is but the phone is solid.
5. Live Tiles are like a Heads Up Display in a Chevy, until you see it you don't know what your missing.
6. Nokia software like contact transfer and Drive work very well.
7. Using Itunes since, well it became Itunes, I like Zune, simple and easy to use
.
Cons
1. No Folders, major pain to have this long list of apps.
2. No tethering
3. Why is USB Port on top of the phone??

Since this is the first review for a phone that has been out for awhile doesn't bode well, to bad because it is a good phone.
