Great entry level device!

Feb 26, 2012 by Resendetra

I just bought this phone the other day and fell in love with it right away. I wanted something small and that could fit into my pocket, that's why I bought this. It's a step up to what I did have though. I had the LG Beacon, which is not a smart phone, but still had a touchscreen.

I get great sound quality with it where I live, which is Marine City, MI, and my provider is Metro PCS. Only problem is that I can't get 3G around here, not unless I go more toward Detroit. Also, it's easy to use and great for someone that's just starting out with Android phones. It has a great camera(5MP)/camcorder on it and also has flash, which is always a plus.

The only reason I didn't give it a 5 rating is because the internal memory on it isn't huge and you can take up a lot of space with apps, and some can't be moved to your SDcard. So, I have to uninstall a lot of apps, just to get more.

Lastly, the keyboard may be a bit small for a few people, it was for me at first. But with sometime, I learned to adjust to it nicely.

PROS
-----
- Really responsive touchscreen.
- Great signal/sound quality in my area.
- Easy to use.
- Bright screen and easy to see.
- Good sound when it comes to listening to music.
- HTC Sync is great!
- Actually runs fast.

CONS
----
- Low internal memory.

HTC Wildfire not so wild!

Nov 25, 2011 by Glitter25

First let me say I have owned a gazillion phones from all services! I previously came from a blackberry 9650 and an LG Optimus V

On the first day I owned this phone the only apps I downloaded were Tumblr and yahoo. After downloading ONLY these 2 apps the phone told me my memory was full. I had 10 text messages in my inbox at this time. Since I didnt want to delete my 2 apps I deleted my 10 messages and the memory full went away. Eventually with in a few minutes I had another 10 text messages and once again it said my memory was full! Yes I moved everything I possibly could to my SD card to try to free up some more memory. However those 2 apps were the only ones that would transfer!

This phone is loaded with even more bullshit apps that will never be used by majority of people than the Optimus V. THESE APPS THAT ARE PRELOADED CAN NOT BE DELETED! And has the same amount of memory as the Optimus V as well. Yet my Optimus V only tells me I have full memory when I have over 30 apps downloaded in my phone!

PROS:
Great screen resolution
Camera with flash

CONS:
Small memory already pre-loaded with nonsense
no keyboard, on screen keyboard sucks
slippery slippery slippery
form factor is really small and easy to drop
CAN NOT DELETE ANY PRE-LOADED APPS
back cover EXTREMELY flimsy

I could list a ton more cons but would rather not waste my time. THis phone is not worth the $200 and I returned it 2 days later.

I can think of one person in this entire world that I would even recommend this to unless all they wanted to do was stare at a pretty screen.

Great Android Phone

I got the white colored version for Virgin Mobile.

It looks really sleek, modern and clean.

Nice compact size.

Vibrant responsive touch screen.

Fast response, very little lag launching apps or moving between screens.

Audio is loud and clear and reception is solid. Bluetooth pairs easily with devices and holds the connection. Connects automatically with paired devices most of the time.

Definitely an attractive and functional entry level Android phone that you will enjoy using.

HTC Wildfire S - Don't Buy!

This phone is just awful. Memory fills up after 2 weeks of just a few text. Apps on phone can not be deleted and its all bullshit. I took the phone back to the Metro PCS where I bought it after having problems with it. They told me its been after 7 days to take it to a main store. I took it to a main store and wanted another one sent to me. The person said they could not send me another phone with the first issue. I took it back again yesterday 4/16/2012 after the screen started going black and cutting off and on. The person cleared the memory and said it was fine. I left and now today no one can hear me the phone cuts in and out really bad that I had to hang up, could not talk. For some reason I can not get the ass to send me another phone and it is still in warranty. I bought this phone in Nov.2011 on a Black Friday Sale at Metro PCS in Ormond Beach, FL. the day it came out to the store. The phone Stinks and I wasted $200.00. Can't find any phone numbers for support, website stinks, the store stinks and the phone stinks.

Phone has internal memory issues

Jan 13, 2012 by lost_cauze

Ive had this phone about 2 months now, and i can honestly tell you that this phone is great but has one major flaw. the internal memory is very poor, so if you plan on downloading any apps, be prepared to move them all to the SD card. After updating all of the stock programs, your phone will no longer have any available memory and will ask you to delete apps, clear cache, or move to memory card.
