I love the second generation of this device

Jun 16, 2014 by CRK4385   updated Jun 29, 2014

I bought an LG Xpression 2 today as a replacement for my Pantech Renue. I have owned the first generation of the LG Xpression and, so, the second generation of the device was pretty easy to get used to. Below are the pros and cons of this device:

PROS:

- world phone
- blue color
- updated graphics
- good audio quality
- good call quality
- touch screen
- slide out keyboard
- physical buttons for sending and ending a call and the back/cancel button
- nice ringtone selection
- decent battery life
- easier to hold in the hand than the previous LG Xpression

CONS:

- ringtone volume (can be worked around with downloading louder ringtones)
- display quality
- low internal memory, pretty much requires microSD card
- poor camera quality

All in all, I enjoy this device. I knew, when I bought this phone, that the camera was not of good quality. That is not why I bought the phone. I have other devices I can use to take pictures.

Cute little phone

Apr 9, 2013 by callie.crk.kuczek   updated Aug 13, 2013

I bought this phone yesterday, July 5th, and even though I have only had this device for a day, I have already found this phone fun and easy to use. Below are the PROS and CONS of this device.

PROS

- call quality
- audio quality
- full physical QWERTY keyboard
- the color it comes in, red
- the physical send, end, and back buttons on the front of the phone
- When placing a call, the screen automatically locks so that you don't accidentally press buttons with your face.
- size of the phone
- This phone has a feature where you can select whether or not you want the numbers you dial to be read aloud.
- It has a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack on the top of the phone.
- The microphone is in a better position. It's higher up than on the Samsung Evergreen, which makes it easier for my contacts to hear me.
- The touch screen is very responsive.
- The phone could be a little bit faster, but since I do not go on the internet or download anything, it is not much of an issue.

CONS:

none!

I really like this phone and I recommend it. I also recommend that you buy a case for this phone, one that has a rubber back and/or sides. I purchased a BODY GLOVE brand case that AT&T sells at their stores and while it makes the phone a little bit bulkier than it really is, it makes it easier to hold. While the phone is out of the case, it is slippery and difficult to hold on to.

DO NOT BUY

Jan 13, 2016 by 99caliber

I created an account just to post this.
the piece of crap is so worthless. its a cheap want-to-be smartphone that looks like a person at LG made in their spare time. When you watch youtube or any other videos online the size of the viewing screen shrinks to about a fifth of the size of the real screen. The only plus side is it is virtually indestructible.

Old videos wont play? Audio and Video Codecs

Mar 9, 2014 by midgetjay

This may be useful to someone out there with a bunch of videos on an old SD card that this phone refuses to play. It's not compatible with a lot of other videos, but I finally found a video/audio codec that this phone can play:

Resolution: 320x240
Video Format: 3pg
Video Codec: mpeg4
Audio Codec: aac
Bitrate: 128 kb/s - 1.25 Mbps

You will have to convert your old videos to this format though.. :-(

Even though free, not worth it!

Feb 6, 2014 by DogDaddy

Had this piece of junk only 4 hours, then returned it. When connecting to internet 50% of the time it says "connection failed". 25% of the time it says "memory full" and disconnects.
User interface is illogical. Phone is cheap quality. Back has weird texture that feels wet.
Do not waste your time or money on this phone. It should be called the LG Xasperation.
